BENGAL COMES TO BANDRA

Mumbai, March 6th & 7th 2020, Travelling Trunk: Made in Bengal is an initiative by stylist & curator Chikky Goenka, to promote designers from Bengal, outside Bengal. It’s a unique platform to feature young designers from across the state of Bengal popularizing their indigenous craft & distinct design aesthetic.

                               
In Mumbai, the trunk made a pit stop at Atosa, for a two day showcase of over 19 designer labels. Rishi & Soujit, Paromita Banerjee, Tahweave, Rimi Nayak, Esha Sethi Thirani, Sakshi Jhunjhunwala, Verb by Pallavi Singhee, Vasundhara Mantri, Zohra Jewellery & many more.
We saw a wide assortment of styles, from sustainable pieces, formal evening wear, casual summer outfits, boho-chic ensembles, to contemporary Indian wear-- all under one roof!

Chikky Goenka, curator of the Travelling Trunk : Made in Bengal shares, “It is our fifth season & as a part of our five city tour, we visited Mumbai for the first time. We always look for a host that resonate with their idea and intent behind the initiative, and found a perfect match at Atosa, the multi-designer store in Bandra, Mumbai.

                             
The two day event was preceded by a special preview, hosted by Ms. Rekha Kapur & Ms. Veenu Jain, fashionable socialites who graciously invited a bunch of fashionistas. The evening was a fashionable affair & we had an incredible time helping people shop over jhal muri & khullar tea (Bengal's specialty evening snack). It was humbling to see people's reaction on the concept, and also appreciating the designers at the event. It was surely a memorable experience, and we sure want to make this an annual affair in the city.”

Actress Ekta Jain shoots Holi sequence with Organic colours

         

Actress and model Ekta Jain who has starred in many theatre plays and numerous multilingual drama including but not limited to Hindi, English, Gujarati and even Sanskrit just shoots for Holi special Aao Bahen Chugli Karen episode with Puja Kanwal. She played Rukmani in the episode . 

                                               

Ekta Jain also shot for Holi with organic colours. She asked people to only use organic colours.  Ekta Jain is known for major hit shows like Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Kahin Diya Jale Kahin Piya and Shagun. Bigg Boss 13 contestants Paras Chhabra blames Jay Bhanushali for roasting him & defaming him.

Paras Chhabra banishes all the allegation put on him in Colors TV show Mujhse Shaadi Karoge by guest Jay Bhanushali. In the promo of the upcoming episode, Paras will be seen getting into an argument with Jay Bhanushali regarding his feelings for the contestants.
