Written and composed by multi-talented Thobani, the music video has been shot in the singer’s hometown Chhindwara showcasing the simplicity and beauty of a small town. The music video shows a sweet love story revolving around a young couple.

Directed by Adnaan Shaikh of Team 07 fame, the music video has a fun and flirty vibe and the chemistry of the lead pair works like icing on the cake. This video shows Adnaan in a chocolate boy avatar, different from his usual 'Sher' image. The video is inspired by Jishan's real-life story, where he teases his fiancé - for taking him for granted for small things knowing that he loves her the most and so does she, and that’s how he came up with the idea of creating this beautiful song.

Excited about the release, Thobani stated, “Granted Lendi Hai, is a very special song for me as it's my first commercial song and I am really thankful to the Qyuki team for supporting me throughout this journey.  A Scandall actress Reeth Mazumder moved to North America a few years ago after giving two back-to-back releases of a Hindi Film and a Bengali film.

Recently she surfaced back with the news of getting married to a French Canadian filmmaker.

Reeth stirred quite a few waves with her character in the movie Scandal. She felt she was typecast, and she was being offered raunchy-comedy genre movies. She chooses not to indulge and decided to carve her niche. She always wanted to be part of meaningful cinema, and she is on the quest for it. She has been an ardent student of cinema. She is currently working behind-the-scenes and taking care of her passion for being associated with cinema.

We spoke to Reeth, and here is what she has got to say, " I love films, and that is something I am going to be associated with forever. There is so much more than just performance that's required in Bollywood. It kills an actor's joy to be versatile. Be it camps, nepotism, or most importantly, being typecast based on your last release. These are quite a few issues plaguing the industry.

When we asked her if she has decided to quit Bollywood altogether, she replied, No, I haven’t. So if tomorrow you see me acting or directing a series in India, don't be surprised. That’s why I say I haven't quit. I only moved a billion steps closer to my goal. I am still a part of the fraternity, but it’s more global now.

I definitely miss delivering Hindi and Bengali dialogues and maybe dancing to songs.

However, Some excellent filmmakers are constantly making good cinema. I wish to work with them in the near future—directors like Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, and Kaushik Ganguly.

The other day I was making my friend listen to the track and the first thing she told me was ‘I feel good after so long now that’s something you don’t hear every day. Yes, Jogiya is a romantic track but it’s a feeling like a song that will hit you hard”

Shibani also shares her experience of shooting in Punjab, says she feels more connected to her roots now “I haven’t been to Punjabi in a while. Sometimes work consumes you so much that you barely get time for things that deserve attention. We shot in Punjab and I have never felt so connected to my roots as I feel now. Sarso ka saag te makes ki roti, rajma chawal, aloo paratha with Makhan had become our staple diet. Breathing fresh air, interacting with the locals was an experience in itself”

Shibani also credits the team, specially Dheeraj and Smriti who were equally enthusiastic about visiting and experiencing Punjab as much as she was “We were a fun riot on set and offset. Both Dheeraj and Smriti are so warm and so much fun that our directors had to discipline us like babies. They made the song look beautiful"

“Jogiya” is high on its musical richness, its subtlety, and its uncanny ability to reach deep within our hearts of the audience.

She is getting huge appreciation from the Marathi industry as well as her co-artists. Savaniee has previously sung songs in various languages like Marathi, Hindi, Tamil, Gujrati, Bengali.

While expressing her views on winning the national award, the singer says, "I am speechless, and it is hard for me to describe how happy I'm, I feel like my hard work and dedication has finally paid off thank you, God. My mentor, My Parents played a very important role in this journey. Now after winning this award I have more responsibility, I have to constantly try being better and try to give out the best of myself and I will make sure people will love my work."

While speaking about her song from the film Bardo directed by Bhimrao Mude, composed by famous singer Rohan-Rohan the movie is yet to release. The specialty of this song is that Rohan-Rohan made me change my tone and gave a rural touch to this song. Before this, I have only sung romantic and emotional songs but this time they believed in me, I still remember how we recorded this song. This song will always be very emotional for me.

Savaniee further says, "This award received is the most special one. I have received nominations in various places to date. But I didn't get the award. For the song that I have sung in the past, I was waiting for an award, and that moment came, for the first time in my life I got a 'National Award'. So this award is very special to me. I will always be indebted to God, the audience, and all my gurus".

Nikita Rawal runs an NGO called the Astha Foundation which has adopted 60 kids suffering from AIDS. Nikita has starred in various films such as Garam Masala, Amma Ki Boli, Black, and White, etc. She has done tremendous work with her NGO and a huge salute to her.

We spoke to Nikita on this and here is what she has got to say, "These kids are like my kids. The idea came when I saw a few children suffering from AIDS and how helpless they were. They would struggle to get even their basic needs. I had sleepless nights. I hope more people come up and help these kids. Everything that I do is for them be it the stage shows or anything. And about the movie, I can say is that it's a very exciting concept. It has got great entertainment value and we have got a fantastic team. I am sure the audience will love it. Looking forward to that."

Bharat Petroleum bags FICCI award for sustainability in the Petrochemical Sector

·         Company won the award for ‘Petroleum Sludge Valorisation’ process under the category ‘Sustainability award for the best green process in the petrochemical sector’

 

Mumbai, March 22, 2021: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a ‘Maharatna’ and a Fortune Global 500 Company bagged a prestigious award from the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) under the category ‘Sustainability award for the best green process in the petrochemical sector’. The Company received the award for ‘Petroleum Sludge Valorisation’, a novel concept of valorizing tank bottom sludge and renewable biomass and generating a versatile solid fuel. Dr. Chiranjeevi Thota, Deputy General Manager (R&D) received the award on behalf of the Company, which was conferred by Mr. Mansukh Mandviya, Hon’ble Union Minister of State, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Mr. Yogendra Tripathi, Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals and Deepak Mehta-Chairman, FICCI Chemical Committee, and C&MD Deepak Nitrate Ltd.

 

The solid fuel ‘Petrolet’ that is formed after the process of combining two waste materials has numerous applications in low-cost conventional heating, steam generation, etc. Another advantage of this process is that it is environmental-friendly as the mixture of the oily sludge and bio-mass is then used in firing the kilns thereby replacing the requirement of high-cost conventional fuel. Due to this process, several thousand tonnes of petroleum sludge generated in refineries is used in gasifiers as a feedstock, thereby reducing wastage. The final product possesses a calorific value that is at par with coal used for furnace applications. This fuel mixture can be used as such or can be co-fired with coal or liquid fuels to enhance its heat value.

 

The oil sludge generated by refineries is one of the major sources of environmental pollution and is categorized as hazardous waste by Environment Protection Act and Hazardous Wastes Handling Rules. Bharat Petroleum’s Corporate Research & Development Centre developed this concept to replace the earlier process of bio-remediated sludge that used to take 6-10 months and was very expensive. Through this new process, the Company’s R&D team has not only came up with quick and environmentally acceptable solutions; but also made it cost-effective compared to the earlier processes.

Mumbai, 17^th March 2021: Renowned and leading Carnatic Classical violinist, composer, and Guru, Smt Vasantha Kannan releases a Thillana with daughter and disciple Calcutta K. Srividya and son Mohan Kannan. The composition, performed by the trio with Smt Vasantha Kannan and Calcutta K Srividya both on vocals as well as violin, and Mohan Kannan providing support through guitar and backing vocals, has brought out a unique experience for the audience.

 

This is the first-ever known classical composition in the rare raagam, Kadyutha Ganthi.

 

Thillana is a rhythmic piece in Carnatic music that is generally performed at the end of a concert and also widely used in classical Indian dance performances. The presence of Jatis (or bols) for the most part of the Thillana clearly distinguishes it from other composition formats. Jatis and swarams constitute the pallavi, anupallavi, and the latter part of the charanam, while lyrics form the initial part of the charanam.

 

Smt Vasantha Kannan’s Thillana (Kadyutha Ganthi Raagam, Adi Thaalam), while following the traditional format, is presented with a progressive approach of blending guitar and harmonies, a concept more common in western or popular music.

Speaking about the overall Thillana, Smt. Vasantha Kannan shares, “The idea of this Thillana came to me as I was exploring the rare melodious ragam Kadyutha Ganthi which fascinated me. Since there are no known compositions in this ragam, I have brought in the basic structure of the ragam through the arohanam and avarohanam as part of the lyrics of the Thillana itself. I'm very happy with the way the composition has turned out and I am doubly happy about having my children with me on the Thillana.”

Speaking about the association with her mother and brother, Calcutta K. Srividya shares, “It was a fantastic, enjoyable experience doing this with my mother and brother! We saw Amma compose the whole thillana in just 2 days.. and the fun started when the three of us had innumerable conversations to come up with this format and to record and shoot the whole thing at home in the current scenario!”

 

Sharing his views, singer and composer Mohan Kannan says, “This is one of the most gratifying experiences of my life, to be working with my mother and sister on a song that is purely classical and can still appeal to listeners from all over the world. It was challenging and exciting at the same time to try and introduce guitars and harmonies into the Thillana without compromising the purity of the composition or the Raagam.”
