 An empty dish served on Chef vs Fridge Season 3, for the first time ever!


 

Zee Café's Chef Vs Fridge Season 3 leaves viewers wanting more and more. Every episode of the programme features a brand-new twist or turn, keeping the competitors on their toes the entire time. This week's challenge requires chefs to serve a poached egg, a simple yet tricky dish. After some mind-boggling tasks given by the judges, this task excites the contestants as they feel it is their everyday routine for them and can be achieved easily. However, the twist comes when Chef Ajay announces that a pressure-cooker will be kept as the timer for the challenge.

 

Contestants seemed excited for this challenge until the time kept rising and the pressure kept building after each whistle leaving them extremely perplexed. In the episode, Chef Ajay demonstrates on how to make a poached egg for both the audiences and the chefs. Chef Ajay further avoids the twist and Chef Shipra makes the decision to offer the competitors a safety net. Why? Well, we have a special guest on the show tonight.

 ARJUMMAN MUGHAL A BRIGHT BALLOYWOOD LUMINARY OF BOLLYWOOD & HOLLYWOOD 



Before transitioning to Indian Cinema, actress Arjumman Mughal was a successful International Fashion Model in both high fashion and editorial.  Starting from the age of 13, Arjumman was trained in dance in the foothills of Jammu & Kashmir which happens to be her ancestral home in North-Most India. She got her film Zenith in 2008 in the Tamil film Pazhaniappa Kalloori. In February 2014 she again premiered in Bollywood where she worked with the prestigious Vishesh films. In the Bollywood classic film Ya Rab, Arjumman played her most iconic role as Amreen.


In the 2000s she was rated among the top 3 box office draws in the Indian subcontinent, and was voted an audience favorite throughout South Asia. Along with feature length films, Arjumman is also known for dozens of popular music videos. In advertising and promotional campaigns she is a brand & agency favorite. Her future Hindi projects include an important trilogy, an untitled comedy romance which will be released this year. The actress announced a bold and unexpected career move. At the peak of her popularity on the subcontinent. Arjumman moved to the United States to expand her film career. As she puts it, her wish is, “to deepen her understanding of acting, through study and practice with the great directors & actors of both stage and film, in the US.”  Staying there and understanding the base of American movies was a wonderful learning experience and she worked on her American accent to broaden her ability to fit into a wide range of roles. 





After observing the market she decided to work in home country and in the US both, she says the world is mine. If I ever get work in this world I will go for it. As of now she will be travelling back only when she will have a project to shoot.
She recently carved her name on the trophy of Best Face of the year at IIFTA Awards. She has also been receiving offers for direction from Hollywood and Bollywood too. But she says I’m purely an actor.

 Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia becomes the face of "NO Spot Campaign" by SikhAid Charitable Trust; promotes menstrual hygiene 


In order to undo the stigma and negative connotations around Menstruation, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia in association with SikhAid Charitable Trust together raise awareness to promote menstrual hygiene, and inspire girls & women to ditch cloth & make Sanitary Pads their best friends.  

SikhAid Charitable Trust, a non-profit organisation founded in 2020 during the first wave of Covid-19 introduced " NO Spot Campaign", not only Nimrit became the "Face of the Campaign", she personally distributed a pack of 3 Sanitary napkins to the girls & women in slums & demonstrated its use & educated them about the importance of its use. 

A champion of mental health, physical fitness & now the queen of menstrual hygiene awareness, Nimrit states that many times, lack of education, age-old taboos and limited or no access to hygienic menstrual products can lead to women practicing poor menstrual hygiene during their period which can lead to multiple infections such as reproductive issues, urinary problems & overall health issues.  Not only is this detrimental to the overall health and wellness of the gender, but it also dampens the progress of society as we strive to bring about educational, health, and overall status opportunities for girls and women across the country. It prevents millions of girls from achieving their full potential and chasing their dreams.

‘Jab tak Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai rahega, tabtak mai is show ka hissa rahunga’ says Rohitashv Gour aka Manmohan Tiwari of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai

 

&TV’s cult-comedy show Bhabiji Ghar Pai Hai recently completed eight years and 2000 episodes. We caught up with Manmohan Tiwari aka Rohitashv Gour on his plan for a birthday celebration & incredible journey of the show. Excerpts from the interview:

 


1. How are you planning to celebrate your birthday this year?

I will be spending the day with my loved ones. On my birthday, I will be shooting on the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai sets, which are like a second home to me, and the crew is like family. I am planning to treat them to some delicious food. I am expecting a cake from their end (laughs). I will be spending the evening with my family and friends. We may go out for a memorable dinner nearby.

 


2. Recently your show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai completed 8 years and 2000 episodes together, how does it feel?

It is a special moment for all of us because it is a double celebration. In this highly competitive industry, very few shows manage to sustain success and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai has aced it. I am grateful to the channel and our producers, Sanjay Kohli and Binaiffer Kohli, for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. It’s been eight years and is still going strong. The show has played a huge part in shaping my career and providing me with a loyal fan base.


 

3.       How does it feel to be recognised by your character name Manmohan Tiwari?

My journey as Tiwari has been wonderful. This character has become a household name. The character has resonated so beautifully that people often call me Tiwari Ji instead of Rohitashv. At times, people also ask me ‘aapke kacche banyan ki dukan kaisi chal rahi hai?’ (laughs). It shows the success of our show and the popularity of its characters. I believe, not just Tiwari, but every character in this show has made a special place in viewers' hearts. On several occasions, our fans have mentioned how watching the show has brought happiness in their lives. There have been cases wherein many patients have written to us stating how the show’s humour has helped them divert their minds from their pain. I feel so blessed and thankful.

 

4.       How does your family react to seeing you playing such a flirtatious character on TV?

Honestly, I was sceptical of playing such a flirtatious character on Indian television. Initially, I was concerned about audience's reaction. But my wife, Rekha, persuaded me to take on the role, and here we are, eight years later, celebrating two major accomplishments. My family enjoys watching me on television, as much as the fans of our show. My wife understands my work, roles and has always supported me. She has always inspired me. My children have been my biggest supporters and critics throughout my career. Their advice and suggestions help me perform better.




5.       Which has been your favourite episode so far?

Each track is unique and hilarious, so it is extremely difficult to choose one. However, the one that is on my mind now is the one in which I played Madan Mohan Tiwari who is Manmohan Tiwari’s younger hippie brother. He was exactly opposite to Manmohan Tiwari’s character. Madan Mohan Tiwari’s casual clothing, long shabby hair, weird English with a unique accent made it extremely entertaining. He made Vibhuti jealous in the absence of Manmohan Tiwari and flirted with Angoori. I received a lot of positive feedback from the audience. It is always fun to transform into weird and funny characters and entertain our viewers.

 

6.       What is that one quality which is similar between Rohitahv Gour and Manmohan Tiwari?

Like Manmohan Tiwari, I am a middle-class man who loves his family and can commit to any extent to give them all happiness and love.

 

7.       Recently you said you’ll not do Television after Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. What is the reason?

I come from theatres and have worked on numerous films. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai has given me enormous recognition. I don't think any other TV show would have given me the same level of popularity and satisfaction as an artist. Wherever I go, people recognise me as Manmohan Tiwari, and I am so proud and happy to play such an iconic character. Jab tak Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai rahega, tabtak main is show ka hissa rahunga. My top priority will always be this show.
