SASMIRA celebrated Annual Fashion Show Enchanté 2019 

organised by Tefla's .




SASMIRA, in its continuous endeavor to promote design literate human resource pool in today's competitive market; organized Enchanté 2019 at Renaissance Hotel, Powai. The show was organised by Aseem Singh, Director – Tefla’s which is a renowned event management group based in Mumbai.




The central theme of the Fashion Collection 2019 was “Wanderlust” and the students had designed their collections picking up inspirations from the various places that they had visited or lust to visit. They had internalized this lust of wandering into beautifully crafted designs. How these places – their exotic landscapes, diverse climate, awe-inspiring structures and distinct cultures had inspired them to conceive an idea that pushes them to weave designs on the looms of their creativity is the essence of their collection. Their collections are nostalgic, neoteric and futuristic in their conception.







Professional models including Sucheta Sharma and Candice Pinto walked the ramp for designers . Vaishali S, Sunipa S, Amit Ranjan, Tasneem Merchant (Fashion Designer), Meher Castelino (Author) came specially to judge the fashion show. Singer Shahzad Ali performed live for all students and guest of Sasmira.





The students had designed Indian; Indo-Western & Western wear and fashion accessories collections. These collections had a wide variety of
colours and fabrics . 






Director, Dr. U.K. Gangopadhyay was of the view that,“Fashion serves as language, a non-verbal communication, which is the only way in which a culture's beliefs, mores, customs etc. are passed on to another generation”
Head of SETP, Krishnendu Datta said, “Fashion represents our inner psyche, it re-establishes our status in society. ‘Enchanté’ is an event, which gives our students a platform to not only present their work but also learn and practically understand the industry.”

Yuvraaj Parashar who has done substantial work in the past gears up for the launch of a new track "Sajda" which will release by the end of July, 2019.
Insisting that his foray into the world of performing arts was not a flash-in-the-pan decision, Yuvraaj Parashar says that it’s his passion & love for the craft of acting which is the prime factor that attracts him to be a part of Bollywood "You know what's the best part of acting , you become a different person, a different soul. Isn't it beautiful. Ever since I can remember, acting has not been a dream, it has been an obsession. I started with Pollywood, the amount of love I received was unreal. Dashing Karan Wahi steps in as host on Zee TV’s Dance India Dance: Battle of The Champions
 

Soon after Zee TV’s biggest talent-based reality show Dance India Dance: Battle of the Champions kicked off its new season and revealed its top 16 contestants in the grand premiere episode, the channel has roped in the charming, spirited and mischievous Karan Wahi to step in as the host of the show.



Karan Wahi made his television debut in 2004 and since then, there has been no looking back for him. In addition to his acting career, Wahi has hosted several awards and popular TV shows. The debonair actor has successfully hosted the second season of DID Super Moms and is now all set to return to the DID stage to be a part of this season’s Battle of the Champions.


Speaking on the occasion, Karan Wahi said, “Dance India Dance is the most prestigious platform for dancing talent in the country. I have previously hosted Zee TV’s DID Super Moms Season 2 which is also a Dance India Dance franchise. I am very excited to be hosting the new season as this show is back in a grand avatar while also marking the debut of Kareena Kapoor Khan on TV. It can’t get bigger than this!  I am looking forward to witnessing some of the finest performances in this show by a set of equally dynamic participants that India has to offer”
