After working with multiple singers and music composers, he went on to compete in an international singing reality show.
Commenting on being a part of Love Me India, Abhijeet says, “Years ago I entered the industry as a result of a reality show, so being on &TV’s Love Me India as a captain this time around is like a homecoming for me. I am what I am today because of the guidance of my mentors when I was a contestant, to be able to give back and mentor someone else in turn, especially kids is a true privilege. Reality shows teach you to make the most of opportunities that come your way and one should feel fortunate to get a chance to reach out to million hearts and win them over by sheer talent. Redefining the landscape of reality shows in India, no other show in the country offers such direct access to the audience where they can influence a contestant’s growth on the show. It’s an absolute honour to be a part of something this special and I can’t wait to begin this journey!”

Hey Deedee® forays into an all-women cargo logistics
for the first time in India to do last mile and mid mile deliveries
The first set of five women drivers of the four-wheeler cargo vehicles flagged off by well-known women personalities
Mumbai:August 8, 2018…Hey Deedee®, India’s only all-women last mile logistic services company announced its foray into an all-women cargo logistics for the first time in India to do last mile and mid mile deliveries. Hey Deedee® has taken a steptowards entering the bulk and bigger parcels delivery and mid mile delivery segment by adding their Hey Deedee® women drivers towards the cargo services. The company has been growing by leaps and bounds providing solution to the e-commerce companies for their last mile delivery. Recently, Hey Deedee successfully raised pre-seed funding of $ 500,000 from Metaform Ventures LLC of an undisclosed sum of valuation. The funds are going to be utilized for expansion of footprint, further gaining bandwidth and build technology. They intend to grow from current four cities to 10 cities in this calendar year 2018 and launch their four-wheeler warehouse to hub deliveries with an all women drivers team.

Ms. Revathi Roy, Serial Entrepreneur, Pioneer of Asia’s 1st Taxi service for women and Co-Founder of Hey Deedee® said, “At the end of 2017, the logistics market in India was valued at 160 billion USDAccording to the Economic Survey 2017-18 tabled in the Parliament, with the implementation of GST, the Indian logistics market is expected to reach about USD 215 billion in 2020 growing at a CAGR of 10.5 per cent. Despite the fact that the logistics industry is a growing one and has opportunities for advancement, the glass ceiling for women is yet to be broken. Female representation in this industry is abysmal, being less than 5%. The demand for qualified personnel exceeds the supply in the logistics and supply chain sector and it has become imperative to attract and include women, especially since they are good in multitasking, an ability that enables them to handle a myriad of tasks such as planning, implementing and controlling the efficient flow and storage of goods. Research has also shown that the presence of women raises the standards of ethical behavior, lower corruption, production and economic growth. Recognizing this untouched potential and hoping to capture 20% of the market share by 2020 and increase the number of women in the workforce, Hey Deedee® is launching its four-wheeler cargo service. We are seeking to change the way India delivers.”

The occasion was graced by Dr. Sonia Sethi, IAS – Ex Transport Commissioner (Govt of Maharashtra), Mrs. Shweta Shalini, Spokesperson, CM office, Ms. Avani Davda, CEO, Godrej Nature’s Basket and Ms. Sapna Bhavnani, famous hair stylist, Mad-O-Wat. The first five women drivers of the four-wheeler cargo vehicles were flagged off by the dignitaries.

To ensure that the women drivers are ready, women undergo an extensive 60-day training. By building and engaging a community of trained and certified women riders and drivers, the desired goal of this intervention is to positively impact the employability of women in relatively high paying services, the safety of women customers when using transport other than their own; working in alignment with our PM’s vision of transforming India into a safe haven for women, and also road safety in India. With a mission to train and employ 10,000 women by 2018, Hey Deedee aims to become the largest solution provider for hyperlocals and offers last mile delivery services within the city through its hub and spoke model.

Dr. Sonia Sethi, IAS – Ex Transport Commissioner (Govt of Maharashtra) said, We need women at all levels contributing to change the dynamics on reshaping of our economy. An empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and capable beyond description. I chose to back Revathi Roy for her enduring ledership on empowering women in logistics, a fast growing, untapped (women powered) sector with much needed diversity. HeyDeeDee continues to break down walls and defy stereotypes; creating a sector for women empowered logistics, not just logistics but heavy logistics.”

Hey Deedee® is an all women logistics firm based in India. It provides a platform to mobilize, assess and train women to become riders and drivers and gain employability. It is India′s first all–women instant parcel delivery service and cargo service. The all–women fleet is a group specially trained by Hey Deedee® (a unit of Zaffiro Learning Pvt Ltd [ZLPL]), which aims to empower underprivileged women by skilling them in two-wheeler or four-wheeler riding or driving and soft skills and guaranteeing them a job on its Hey Deedee® platform. All these women belong to families, which are below the poverty line that earn only Rs 1 lakh, annually. Empowering the women by employing them, doubles the entire family’s yearly income and removes the unfortunate ‘below poverty line’ stigma. Hey Deedee® also aims to provide employers with quick and efficient access to well trained and dependable delivery agents.

Ms. Roy further added that, “With a mission to train and employ 10,000 women by 2020, Hey Deedee aims to become thelargest solution provider for hyperlocals by offering last mile delivery services and parcel movement within the city through its hub and spoke model. Hey Deedee® hinges on the empowerment of women. The ladies come from economically challenged backgrounds where Hey Deedee® empowers them with a skill so that they can become financially independent and earn respect. Assistance is also provided to them for procurement of loan to purchase the vehicles which offers them skilling and sustainable livelihood. The USP of Hey Deedee is the buildup of the pool of human resources to do this job by skilling the girls in a 30—45 day program. It is also solving a huge problem of urban women unemployment. We currently have 2000+ women registered, all under different stages of training, and have 62 riders on the job, in Mumbai, Bangalore, Nagpur and Pune. We currently take both a per delivery model (with Amazon) and a management percentage model (with E-comm Express) and fixed income model in the current growth stage.”
Hey Deedee® delivered record 250,000 parcels till date for alliance partners Amazon, The Curry Brothers, The Bohri Kitchen, Subway, Herbivore, Shophop, Brijwasi, Pizza Hut, Ecomm Express, Ziptown, Spicebox, Everyday Gourmet kitchen, Pitaburg, Birdy’s, Snackboxwallah, Godrej Nature's Basket, Fresh India Organics. Some of the past clients include Pizza Hut, Subway, Heribvore, ZipTown, Brijwasi, ShopHop and thousands of retail customers.

&TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain completes 900 humorous episodes

From capturing the viewer’s attention with its first episode to continuously winning their hearts week after week, &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has now laughed its way up to a new milestone. Celebrations and excitement are in the air as the show completes 900 episodes of endlessly entertaining the audience. Delivering fits of hilarity and abundance of excitement for almost three and half years now, the show has successfully occupied the position of a mass entertainer. Be it kids, young adults or the elderly, the show that began with a huge fan following, has tripled over the years.

Given the popularity the show enjoys, one can surely laud the efforts put in the by the entire cast and crew to make this a praiseworthy show. While the Bhabhis and the Bhaiyas may have not for once seized to keep the audience from laughing, the hilarious punches by Teeka, Malkhan and Tillu along with Happu, Saxena and Gulfamkali bring a perfect entertaining package to the viewers.

Talking about his journey and the mantra to live up to the viewer’s expectations, Rohitashv Gour a.k.a Tiwari ji said, “Considering the kind of content and time slot Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain had when it launched on &TV, which at that time was still a relatively new channel, completing 900 episodes is a huge deal for all of us. My character, Tiwari ji has brought out a great change in my life.  Prior to this show, I was often offered roles of an honest police officer or father that gave a simple, honest and ‘adarshwadi’ mark to my profile. Tiwari being such a contrast to my personality, broke this image and I consider this role as a big growth in my acting career. Thanks to our Director Shashank Bali and Writer Manoj Santoshi for writing such a brilliant character. The different stories they write go beyond the imagination of the audience and have surpassed their expectation levels.”

Adding to his thoughts Aasif Sheikh a.k.a Vibhuti said, “This achievement is a complete Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain team game and kudos to all of us for standing strong and being able to deliver so much over the years. Each and every one including our Producer is responsible for this great achievement. Vibhuti’s role was a dream come true for me and this show has truly been a high point of my career. With this show, I have had a chance to portray 200 plus characters across different episodes and I am making the most out of it and totally enjoying it. I am literally living Vibhuti’s character and the moment I read a scene, I know how he would react to that situation. Vibhuti has taught me to actually enjoy life and its situations as and when they come. I have learnt not to dwell on my problems too much and have a carefree attitude every once in a while. It’s the beauty of the character that encourages me to always find ways to evolve and do something in a different way.”

Speaking with great pride about her character Saumya Tandon a.k.a Anita Bhabhi said, “Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain was an experiment and I’m glad it worked really well with our viewers, well enough to give it 900 episodes! It’s really heartening to know that Indian television had a show which is so different as against various comedy shows and unlike the typical saas-bahu genre. Anita, unlike the sobbing female characters who are hard hit by the pressures of their dominant ‘sasural’ or arrogant husband, is a very different, quirky, happy, independent, overtly romantic and strong woman. An audience, that wasn’t used to seeing such female dominant characters, appreciated and connected with her really well. I was told by many that Anita is an aspiring character and wives find her really funny and wish to have an interesting married life like hers. In fact, I knew girls who admired Anita Bhabhi’s dressing style and wished to dress like her as well. It’s great to see that strong female characters like her are successful on television and they are the guiding light for many who feel that sobbing characters still work. I had a terrific time playing Anita and have played several characters from a school teacher to a police officer to a school kid to even a boy! I think I have explored a lot more than a television actor usually would with his role.”

Shubhangi Atre a.k.a Angoori Bhabhi also had a quite a journey to share. With great optimism, the actress said, “Completing 900 episodes in today’s scenario on television is a huge milestone. Although for us, I believe it’s just the beginning and we still have many years to go in the entertainment business. Playing Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain is a real treat for an actor and even after all these years I am still exploring this character. Her innocence is her USP and finding ways to perform a better version of her, gives me a chance to learn something from her every day. As an actor, I love exploring and challenging myself which is also the case with our Director and Writer. I believe it’s our excitement towards performing that has really struck a chord with the audience and we hope to keep that alive in the coming years.”

With a promise to keep the entertainment going, the show will be airing their 900th episode, on 9th August 2018.
