नवी मुंबई, २१ ऑगस्ट २०२३: नवी मुंबईच्या अपोलो कर्करोग केंद्राने आज विशेष अपोलो महिला कर्करोग प्रतिबंधक क्लिनिकचे उद्घाटन केले. हे विशेष केंद्र महिलांनाच होणाऱ्या कर्करोगाचे लवकर निदान आणि प्रतिबंध करण्यासाठी कटिबद्ध असेल. अत्याधुनिक केंद्र भारतातील स्त्रियांमध्ये कर्करोगाच्या वाढत्या घटना, विशेषतः स्तन, अंडाशय, गर्भाशय ग्रीवा आणि गर्भाशयाच्या अस्तराच्या कर्करोगाचा सामना करण्यासाठी सहाय्य करेल. नवी मुंबईतील अपोलो कर्करोग केंद्राच्या स्तन शस्त्रक्रियेच्या मुख्य सल्लागार डॉ.नीता एस. नायर यांच्या मतानुसार,“कर्करोगाचे लवकर निदान होणे अत्यंत महत्त्वाचे आहे आणि त्याचे अनेक फायदे देखील आहेत, यामुळे रोगनिदान आणि जीवनाच्या गुणवत्तेवर लक्षणीयरित्या परिणाम होऊ शकतो. रोगाच्या शेवटच्या टप्प्यात निदान होत असल्यामुळे व कर्करोग निर्देशित उपचार सुरु करण्यास उशीर होत असल्यामुळे पाश्चात्य देशांच्या तुलनेत कर्करोग असलेल्या रूग्णांचा विशेषत: स्तनाचा कर्करोग असलेल्या स्त्रियांचा जगण्याचा दर कमी झाला आहे. आज भारतातील स्तनाचा कर्करोग असलेले सुमारे ४०% रुग्ण रोगाच्या प्रगत अवस्थेत डॉक्टरांकडे येतात. म्हणून आम्ही ४०-७४ वर्षे वयोगटातील महिलांना नियमित मॅमोग्राफीची तपासणी करण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहन देतो, अपोलो महिला कर्करोग प्रतिबंधक क्लिनिक कर्करोगाच्या तपासणीपासून ते व्यवस्थापनापर्यंतच्या अशा सेवांची एकात्मिक श्रेणी सादर करुन परिस्थिती बदलण्यास मदत करेल.”

डिसेंबर २०२२ मध्ये प्रसिद्ध झालेल्या ‘आयसीएमआर’ च्या अहवालानुसार भारतात कर्करोगाचे निदान झालेल्या पुरुषांपेक्षा महिलांचे प्रमाण अधिक आहे. अहवालात अशीही सूचना देण्यात आली आहे की भारतात दरवर्षी १लाख महिलांमध्ये ३५ महिलांना कर्करोग होतो. स्तनाचा कर्करोग हा भारतातील महिलांमध्ये आढळणारा सर्वात सामान्य कर्करोग आहे. शहरी भारतातील २२ पैकी १ महिलेमध्ये आयुष्यात स्तनाचा कर्करोग होण्याचा धोका असतो. भारतातील ४०% स्त्रियांच्या कर्करोगाची प्रकरणे ही अजूनही प्रगत अवस्थेत आहेत. गर्भाशयाच्या ग्रीवेचा कर्करोग ही भारतातील एक प्रमुख सार्वजनिक आरोग्य समस्या आहे, ज्यामध्ये दरवर्षी ९६,९२२ नवीन प्रकरणे येतात आणि ६०,०७८ रुग्णांचा मृत्यू होतो. २५-४४ वर्षे वयोगटातील भारतीय महिलांमध्ये स्तनाच्या कर्करोगानंतर गर्भाशयाच्या ग्रीवाचा कर्करोग हा दुसरा सर्वात सामान्य कर्करोग आहे. फेडरेशन ऑफ ऑब्स्टेट्रिक अँड गायनॅकॉलॉजिकल सोसायटीज ऑफ इंडिया (एफओजीएसआय) ने नमूद केले आहे की गर्भाशयाच्या ग्रीवाच्या तपासणी कार्यक्रमाच्या अभावामुळे भारतात या आजाराचे भार जास्त वाढले आहे. ३५ वर्षांपेक्षा जास्त वयाच्या महिलांमध्ये एकदाच स्क्रीनिंग केल्यामुळे गर्भाशयाच्या ग्रीवाच्या कर्करोगाचा धोका २५% कमी झाला आहे.

डॉ. रिचा बंसल, कर्करोग केंद्राच्या गायनॅक-ऑन्कोलॉजी-रोबोटिक शस्त्रक्रियेच्या सल्लागार, नवी मुंबई अपोलो म्हणाल्या,"अपोलो महिला कर्करोग प्रतिबंधक क्लिनिकचा हेतू केवळ उपचारांबद्दलच नव्हे, तर विविध कर्करोगांसाठी असलेल्या विविध जोखमीच्या घटकांबद्दल, सामान्य धोकादायक चिन्हे आणि कर्करोगाची लक्षणे आणि लवकर निदान करण्याचे महत्त्व याबद्दल देखील जागरूकता निर्माण करणे असा आहे. या कर्करोगाच्या प्रतिबंधासाठी आणि लवकर निदानासाठी उपलब्ध असलेल्या सामान्य स्क्रीनिंग चाचण्यांबद्दल महिलांना जागरूक करणे हा क्लिनिकचा आणखी एक महत्त्वाचा हेतू आहे. भारतात निदान झालेल्या सर्व गर्भाशयाच्या कर्करोगाच्या प्रकरणांपैकी १५-२०% प्रकरणे आनुवंशिक असण्याची शक्यता आहे. या आनुवंशिक जोखमीमुळे केवळ पीडित महिलांमध्येच नव्हे तर त्यांच्या जवळच्या कुटुंबातील सदस्यांमध्येही स्तन आणि गर्भाशयाच्या कर्करोगाची शक्यता लक्षणीयरित्या वाढते. आनुवंशिक जोखमींचा सामना करण्यासाठी तयार केलेले उपचार देखील हे क्लिनिक प्रदान करेल.”

वर्ल्ड हेल्थ ऑर्गनायझेशन (डब्ल्यूएचओ) आणि अमेरिकन सोसायटी ऑफ क्लिनिकल ऑन्कोलॉजी (एएससीओ) सारख्या प्रमुख आरोग्य संस्था देखील गर्भाशयाच्या मुखाच्या कर्करोगाचे निदान आणि व्यवस्थापन करण्याच्या बाबतीत प्राथमिक तपासणीचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित करतात. डब्ल्यूएचओने असे म्हटले आहे की लसीकरणासह तपासणी, लसीकरण आणि उपचार हे सीए सर्विक्स निर्मूलनाचे महत्त्वाचे आधारस्तंभ आहेत. डब्ल्यूएचओ ने २०३० पर्यंत गर्भाशयाच्या मुखाच्या कर्करोगाचे उच्चाटन करण्याचे उद्दिष्ट ठेवले आहे आणि असे नमूद केले आहे की १५ वर्षे पूर्ण होईपर्यंत ९०% मुलींमध्ये एचपीव्ही लसीकरण केले जावे, ३५ आणि ४५ वर्षे वयाच्या ७०% महिलांची तपासणी झाली पाहिजे  आणि गर्भाशयाच्या ग्रीवेच्या आजाराचे निदान झालेल्या ९०% महिलांवर उपचार केले गेले पाहिजे. महिलांमध्ये विशेषतः स्तन, गर्भाशय, अंडाशय आणि गर्भाशयाच्या कर्करोगाच्या या चिंताजनक वाढीचे आव्हान पेलण्यासाठी अपोलो महिला कर्करोग प्रतिबंधक क्लिनिक सुरू करण्यात आले आहे.

महिलांमध्ये कर्करोगाचा धोका अपरिवर्तनीय आणि परिवर्तनीय कारकांनी प्रभावित होतो. अपरिवर्तनीय घटक माणसांच्या नियंत्रणाबाहेरचे घटक असतात, जसे की वाढते वय, अनुवांशिक उत्परिवर्तन, कर्करोगाचा कौटुंबिक इतिहास आणि मासिक पाळी/रजोनिवृत्तीचे वय. परिवर्तनीय घटक जीवनशैली सुधारुन बदलले जाऊ शकतात, ज्यामध्ये लठ्ठपणा, चुकीची जीवनशैली व सवयी जसे की धूम्रपान, जास्त मद्यपान, चुकीचा आहार आणि शारीरिक हालचालींचा अभाव, हानिकारक रसायनांशी संपर्क, ह्युमन पॅपिलोमाव्हायरस (एचपीव्ही) संसर्ग, पर्यावरणीय घटक, मासिक पाळी, गर्भधारणा, रजोनिवृत्ती आणि हार्मोन रिप्लेसमेंट थेरपी दरम्यान हार्मोनल बदल यांचा समावेश होतो. उच्च जोखमी असलेल्या लोकसंख्येमध्ये सुरुवातीच्या टप्प्यात कर्करोग रोखण्यासाठी किंवा निदान करण्यासाठी अनेक उपाय उपलब्ध आहेत, ज्यामुळे जागरूकतेचे आणि सक्रिय आरोग्य सेवेचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित केले जाते.

Geetanjali Mishra's entry into &TV's Gharelu ComedyHappu Ki Ultan Paltan, as the new Rajesh Singh (Rajjo), has generated immense excitement among the audience. The actor delighted fans by visiting Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh's capital, from August 18th to 19th. During the trip, she connected with fans, explored renowned markets, and indulged in delicious cuisine on the streets of Lucknow. Sharing her excitement, Geetanajli Mishra essaying Rajesh Singh’s role, said, “My recent visit to Lucknow was delightful. I was pleased by the warmth with which people interacted with me and appreciated my performance as Rajesh. The love and appreciation I had been seeking, especially about my character, brought me immense joy. I went on a shopping spree, explored historical monuments and majestic palaces. The culinary offerings exceeded expectations. Despite its fame for non-vegetarian delicacies, I, as a vegetarian, felt like I was attending a food festival. I savored an array of delightful dishes, but khasta sabzi, kulfi faldoo, and an assortment of flavorful chats won my heart. It turns out that Lucknow is indeed a paradise for vegetarians as well. I also visited Hazratganj and Aminabad markets, where I bought chikankari Kurtis, sarees, and matching ornaments. It was a gratifying experience. I wish to visit the city again!”.



On her role as the new Rajesh Singh in Happu Ki Ultan PaltanGeetanjali Mishra shared, “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to essay 'Rajesh,' one of India's most adored characters’ role. As a viewer, I have always loved watching the show for its captivating characters and entertaining storylines.
