I hope this Secret Santa mission will bring a lot of joy and happiness on the set.”

Geetanjali Mishra, aka Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “For several years, I have been the secret Santa for my nephews. Even though they expect my Secret Santa surprises every year, they still get extremely happy upon receiving their special gifts. Witnessing the sheer joy in their eyes upon unwrapping their presents is truly magical. While I have never donned a Santa costume before, I am considering trying it out this year – I might look cute in it (laughs). My plan for this Christmas is to gift them a long-awaited PlayStation they both can enjoy together. I encourage everyone to take on the role of Santa for their loved ones this Christmas. Making our dear ones happy brings immense joy and fulfillment.” Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi from Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Christmas holds a special place in my heart, and I celebrate it with my friends, attend mass at church, and relish delectable food, like wine cake, at restaurants. However, this year marks a change in my Christmas plans as I will be celebrating it with my newborn. I will dress her in Santa attire. Even though she is too young to distribute gifts, I will take on that role on her behalf, presenting gifts to our loved ones. मुंबई: जेष्ठ नाट्य - चित्रपट समीक्षक कमलाकर नाडकर्णी स्मृतिगत 'रविकिरण मंडळाची ३७ व्या बालनाट्य स्पर्धा नुकतीच मुंबईतील यशवंत नाट्यमंदिर येथे मोठ्या उत्साहात संपन्न झाली. या स्पर्धेत सर्वोत्कृष्ट बालनाट्याचे प्रथम क्रमांकाचे पारितोषिक, सर्वोत्कृष्ट दिग्दर्शन, संगीत, प्रकाश योजना तसेच अभिनय (मुलींमध्ये) तृतीय व अभिनय (मुलांमध्ये) उत्तेजनार्थ पारितोषिके पटकावून हे बालनाट्य अव्वल ठरले. यासोबत द्वितीय क्रमांक सेक्रेड हार्ट, हायस्कुलच्या 'को म की का' या बालनाट्यास तर तृतीय पुरस्कार आर्टिस्ट प्लॅनेट, काळाचौकी शाळेच्या 'जा रे जा, सारे जा' पटकाविले. तसेच पहिले उत्तेजनार्थचे बक्षीस विलेपार्ले महिला संघ - मराठी माध्यम शाळेच्या 'छोटा अंबानी' या बालनाट्याला तर दुसरे उत्तेजनार्थ गुरुकुल द डे स्कूलच्या 'अ-फेअर'ला देण्यात आले. या चुरशीच्या स्पर्धेत १७ बालनाट्यांचा समावेश होता, त्यातून हा अंतिम निकाल देण्यात आला आहे. 

लालबाग, परळ या कामगार विभागातील डिलाईल रोड 'रविकिरण मंडळ हे 'दक्षिण मुंबईचं सांस्कृतिक केंद्र' म्हणून ओळखले जाते. ते खेळाडू आणि कलावंतांचे आशेचे किरण असून गेली सहा दशके हे मंडळ अविरत कार्यरत आहे. लहान मुलांची शालेय जीवनापासून नाट्यकलेची आवड जोपासली जावी व त्यासोबतच त्यांची प्रशंसा व्हावी या उद्देशाने गेली ३६ वर्षे ही संस्था बालनाट्य स्पर्धांचे आयोजन करीत आहे. नुकतीच मुंबईच्या यशवंत नाट्य मंदिर येथे दिवंगत जेष्ठ नाट्यसमीक्षक कमलाकर नाडकर्णी यांना समर्पित करण्यात आलेली ३७ वी बालनाट्य स्पर्धा मुलांच्या उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसादात संपन्न झाली. विजेत्यांना पुरस्कार देण्यासाठी खास 'आई कुठे काय करते?' या मालिकेतील लोकप्रिय अभिनेते मिलिंद गवळी, अभिनेता अभिषेक देशमुख, या मालिकेची लेखिका व कमलाकर नाडकर्णी यांची कन्या नमिता नाडकर्णी - वर्तक, केईएमच्या डॉ. नीना सावंत(मानोसोपचार तज्ञ), यांसह परीक्षक अभिनेत्री दीप्ती भागवत, जुई लागू - खोपकर व अरुण मडकईकर उपस्थित होते.

पारितोषिक वितरण समारंभाला उपस्थित लोकप्रिय अभिनेते मिलिंद गवळी यांनी मुलांशी दिलखुलास संवाद साधला. मुलांना यशाचा मंत्र सांगताना ते म्हणाले, "रूप, रंग यापेक्षा अभिनय महत्वाचा आहे. तो जमला तरच तुम्ही नायक - नायिका होऊ शकता, मलाही लहानपणी अभिनयात न्यूनगंड होता, मात्र जेष्ठ दिवंगत अभिनेते अरुण सरनाईक यांनी केलेल्या मार्गदर्शनामुळेच मी आज यशस्वी अभिनेता झालो आहे. रविकिरण सारख्या संस्थेचा मला लाभ घेता आला नाही, पण आज तुमच्या सोबत ही संधी आहे, तुम्ही तिचा पुरेपूर लाभ घ्यावा."

या कार्यक्रमाचे प्रास्ताविक नागेश नामदेव वांद्रे मंडळाचे चिटणीस  यांनी केले. ते म्हणाले जेष्ठ नाट्य - चित्रपट समीक्षक कमलाकर नाडकर्णी यांना ही स्पर्धा समर्पित करण्यात आली असून नाडकर्णींचे रविकिरण मंडळासोबतचे दृढ आणि अत्यंत जिव्हाळ्याचे नातेसंबंध होते. बालरंगभूमीशी नाडकर्णींनीची नाळ जोडलेली होती, ते स्वतः बालकलाकार, लेखक, नाटककार असल्याने त्यांना बालकलाकारांच्या भावविश्वाची अचूक जाण होती, बालरंगभूमीबद्दल त्यांना कायम ममत्व होते.

मंडळाचे अध्यक्ष श्री. विजय टाकळे त्यांच्या भाषणात म्हणाले, "रविकिरणचं हे ३७ वे वर्षे आहे. नाट्यकला सेवेतून संस्थेने अनेक प्रतिभावंत कलावंतांच्या  जडणघडणीत विशेष भुमिका पार पाडली आहे. ३७ वर्षांच्या या संपूर्ण प्रवासात सुखद आठवणींसह दुःखद प्रसंग देखील आले, मात्र तरीही न डगमगता हा प्रवास असाच सुरू आहे व राहील.

या बालनाट्य स्पर्धेला एलआयसी, ओएनजीसी, इंडियन ऑइल, हिंदुस्तान पेट्रोलियम यांनी आर्थिक भार उचलून सहाय्य केले आहे. या संपूर्ण कार्यक्रमाच्या सूत्रसंचालनाची जबाबदारी अशोक परब यांनी सांभाळली व पारितोषिक वितरण समारंभाला लागणाऱ्या क्रिएटिव्ह कामाची जबाबदारी विनीत देसाई, मंदार साटम, व रोशन वांद्रे यांनी सांभाळली.

Rahhat Shah Kazmi; the internationally acclaimed Writer and director and Tariq Khan one of the producers of the film COUNTRY OF BLIND are two youngsters raised in Poonch border town (At the India and Pakistan border) during the times of peak terrorism their friends were becoming terrorists while they chose the path of art... And today they are award-winning filmmakers, having their film script acquired by OSCARS LIBRARY for permanent collection and their film is in the Oscars race. 

 The recent screening of Rahhat Kazmi’s film Country of Blind at the Cinelounge in Los Angeles had Academy members applauding and saying the movie is a real contender for an Oscar nomination. Writer-Director Kazmi and Producer Tariq Khan talked with Academy members and guests in a Q&A session after the film's showing, captivating the audience with behind-the-scenes stories and insight into his filmmaking process. Combining allegory, love story, and adventure, Kazmi says Country of Blind has been a project he’s wanted to do for years and the positive reaction from the American entertainment industry is a real honor.

“I’m extremely proud of this film and all of the praise and recognition it has received. So many of the movies I love were made in Hollywood and I am thrilled to be here now to show something I’ve created,” said Kazmi. He also responded to the recent news that his screenplay for Country of Blind has been added to the permanent Academy Core Collection Library, “I am humbled by the fact that my work will be alongside some of the most admired scripts ever written and I thank the Academy for this privilege.”

 Praised by Golden Globe winner, Siddiq Barmak, for its thought-provoking concepts, Country of Blind follows Abhimanyu, an expert mountain climber who falls into a strange and isolated society of "non-seeing" people. Claiming to have existed for fifteen generations and cut off from the rest of the world, Abhimanyu quickly decides that "in the country of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.” He fails in his efforts and gets trapped instead…proving things are not always as they seem. 

Along with Rahhat his childhood friend and one of the producers Tariq Khan shared his happiness about recently getting so many positive reviews for the film from all across. He mentioned About official statement of ‘Christian Jeune, The film expert Director cinema department and jury head of one of the biggest festivals of the world recently gave a glowing recommendation saying, “Country of Blind is a spectacular adaptation of an H.G. Wells’ short story – proving his writing can match the cinematic vision of a contemporary filmmaker.” 

 The praise continued from those who viewed the film in Los Angeles with many complimenting the outstanding cast including Hina Khan, Shoib Nikash Shah, Namita Lal, Inaamulhaq, Anushka Sen, Pradhuman Singh Mir Sarwar, and Ahmer Haider. Audience members also noted the powerful narrative, breathtaking cinematography, and evocative soundtrack (including the song “Dhoondta hai tu” by Krishna Beura), which should put the movie into the Best Picture of the Year category.  This support from Hollywood insiders and social media influencers has actress Hina Khan keeping her “fingers crossed” for this small but mighty movie to get its well-deserved accolades.
