Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor Unveil AkzoNobel’s ‘Denim Drift’ as Colour of the Year 2017

AkzoNobel, the leading global paints and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals, as well as the makers of Dulux paints in India,
declared ‘Denim Drift’ as the Colour of the Year for 2017.

As a part of the 14th edition of AkzoNobel’s annual global study, ColourFuturesTM, Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor, brand ambassadors of Dulux in India,
unveiled the colour trend – ‘Denim Drift’ and its overriding trend: ‘Life in a New Light’.

Trend Forecasting Process

Every year, AkzoNobel’s colour experts, international trend watchers and authorities from various fields of design come together at the company’s Global Aesthetic Center. Together, they research and identify the social and design trends that will influence consumers in their colour and interior decoration choices for the coming year. The brand’s overriding theme for the year ahead encourages consumers to celebrate a new look on the simple things that make life worth living.

“As the world changes, people are taking a fresh look at the everyday essentials of life – our family and friends, work, connecting with nature and the pleasure of experiences. It is befitting that ‘Life in a New Light’ is the driving influence for 2017 and is seen in all our colour trends for the year,” said Jeremy Rowe, Managing Director, AkzoNobel Decorative Paints, South East & South Asia, Middle East.

“Blue is the colour of life, of every-day life,” he added. “It is also a colour that is soothing and restful. ‘Denim Drift’ seems to best describe the trend as the chosen shade appears to drift from being definitely indigo blue to a lighter blue-grey named Smoke Grey in our colour catalogues.”

According to Rajiv Rajgopal, Director, Decorative Paints, AkzoNobel South Asia Cluster, “Dulux has been delivering essential colours to consumers in India through its range of innovative and best-in-class interior and exterior paint products. ‘Denim Drift’ will be available via the Dulux range of interior and exterior paints, so that consumers can make it an essential part of their lives in 2017. The Colour of the Year 2017 and the complementing colour palette featuring a spectrum of blues and tones is a truly accessible paint palette that can be easily translated into architecture and interior decorating.”

The Colour of the Year 2017, ‘Denim Drift’, is an essential part of our everyday palette,” pointed out Farhan Akhtar, Brand Ambassador, Dulux. “When teamed with rich shades it will bring your walls to life and exude energy. With lighter tones it will bring a cool, calming and airy feel.”
Denim Drift’ is the must-have colour of 2017,” observed Shraddha Kapoor, Brand Ambassador, Dulux. “It is truly adaptable, fitting into all life and interior styles, making it the perfect choice for reflecting the mood for 2017. Rightly observed by the team researching the colour trend blue is the colour of life, of everyday life. It is familiar and yet new.”
ColourFutures™ is AkzoNobel’s way of sharing colour knowledge with people around the world, so that everyone can be inspired and benefit from the impact colour can have on lives. Drawing insights from a multitude of influences from fine art to technology, design to nature, architecture to fashion and music to popular culture, ColourFutures™ continues to chart out the colour trends and forecasts of what people are veering towards.

The book "Deedara Aka Dara Singh" talks about the journey of a young Sikh boy called Deedara, who was pulled out of school to work in his father’s farm; who was coerced into a teenage marriage; who did petty jobs in Singapore; and finally strode like a lion into wrestling arenas across the world.

VSG MUSIC MARKS RAPPER BOHEMIA COMEBACK IN BOLLYWOOD

The best and popular International rapper Bohemia was away from the limelight for a while, but now VSG music- A music company launched in September 2016 with some of chartbuster hits to their kitty like- Challa by Bohemia, Geeta Bains & Sabrina, Maut by Jaspinder Narula, Gall Nikki Ji C, Sone Mukhre Ke Till and many more will not just bring the rapper to make Bollywood dance to his tunes but rumor has it that VGS music will launch a single featuring Bohemia, Shradha Pandit, Geeta Bains & Govinda

Mr. Vijay Shekhar Gupta CEO of VSG Music says "We are bringing Bohemia back to Bollywood music scenes. With a man of his stature, he deserves a grand launch so we are planning a grand launch, but we cannot reveal much about that as of now"

He was the first artiste to introduce Punjabi in raps. He is also by far the most respected rap artist known for his intricate lyrics and impeccable live performance internationally. Bohemia the King of Punjabi rap who shot to fame within a short span of time has carved his name on awards like 'Rapper of the year' Award at 'World Top Dj's' night held annually at the Sensation Club in Dubai. "I'm honored to have received this award, can't wait to show it to my dad.." said Bohemia.

He is probably the only rapper who has the most loyal or if I may say "die heart" fans that men and women all over the world have tattooed his name on their bodies. Post triumphing upon the hearts of millions with his music, internationally renowned rapper Bohemia gears up to storm the Bollywood music scenes with our very own chichi aka Govinda.

The highly respected California-based pioneer of Desi-Hip-Hop was touring UAE while promoting his latest single 'Zamana Jali' from his upcoming album 'Skull and Bones' and his latest collaboration 'Hathyaar2' with long-time friend and associate Gitta Bains. The record label behind Bohemia's recent ventures VSG Music has also announced a World-Tour by Bohemia in 2017, in which Bohemia plans to give his fans an uninterrupted back-to-back Live Bohemia experience. 'We believe Bohemia is not just a rapper, but a very deep and talented lyricist and musician, and with this World-Tour, his fans will finally get to see Bohemia in full effect" Said Mr. Vijay Shekhar Gupta CEO of VSG Music.

Bohemia is best known for his creation of Desi Hip Hop music and songs like 'Sahara' and 'Kali Denali'. His creation of Punjabi rap has changed the face of Indian-Pop music forever. Bohemia is also by far the most respected rap artist known for his intricate lyrics and impeccable live performance. However, in the resent years, after entering the scene with Akshay Kumar and even rapping for Sanjay Dutt, Bohemia took a backseat from Bollywood.

WHATS BREWING!

Ankita Srivastava's new avatar revealed at her recent shoot with Ace Photographer Dabboo Ratnani

If you think actress Ankita Srivastava was sexy & sultry in her last Bollywood outing "Welcome Back" then these pictures can easily be passed by calling them "smoking hot" or may be "desirable". Is it just another photoshoot or is something brewing on professional front? A birdy informed us that she was approached by a leading UK Based apparel brand & a couple of big Bollywood projects. So doesn't it mean that she is gearing up for something international or is there a good news coming our way with an announcement of her next Bollywood project? I guess we have to wait & watch and for the big reveal!

Wouldn't it be lazy to call her hot, glamorous or sensuous ?  Guess it will be! I think it's safe to say that the actress Ankita Srivastava is slaying with her new sizzling avatar in the recent photo shoot with Ace Photographer Dabboo Ratnani "Although I was thin in last projects but I wanted to work on toning my body.  Dabboo Ratnani was a special one for me and I wanted to put in extra efforts to look better than before. I didn't want to be just "thin" but I wanted to be in the perfect shape for the shoot"

Basking in the glory of "Welcome Back" & Music Video- " Let's Dance" the beauty who slays her fans with her bold photoshoot. There isn't an inkling of a doubt that she looks amazing, and more than that, she looks healthy and fit. In an industry where actors are always aiming for six pack abs and size zero body, actress Ankita Srivastava has a different take on it. “I have a simple mantra -One must be comfortable with their body and should be fit”.

If you think that the starlet must be depriving herself from delicacies, it’s completely wrong "For me, working out and eating healthy is a part of my lifestyle. I am careful about what and how much I eat but I do not deprive myself of anything. I don't indulge into crash diets for a particular shoot. I know people who eat in a crazy way and then suddenly they want a perfect body, and to achieve that they go on crash diets which takes a heavy toll on their body in the long term” says Ankita Srivastava.
“One must not come in peer pressure and aim for six pack abs or a size zero figure. You should be fit and healthy. Thin is out. Fit is the new Sexy!!
