Vidhi Archarya Gets A Priceless Surprise Gift From Husband Ganesh Acharya 

 

Ganesh Acharya has a major romantic bone and surely knows how to surprise his beloved wife. The legendary dance guru recently gave one of the best gifts to his wife recently , that of tattooing her name on his arm. Well, the part about it being the best gift is not us saying but his wife Vidhi Acharya herself! "I was so surprised when I saw my name inked on his hand! It was the sweetest thing he ever did for me," confesses Vidhi ecstatically.

           
Little do many know, Ganesh isn't actually a big tattoo fan and talks people out of getting one as well. But well, is there anything a man in love won't do? "Yes, that’s right. I am not a big fan of tattoos and in fact would tell people not to get one. But this was something that just instantly came to my mind and seemed so right that I had to do it. I wasn’t around on Valentine’s Day as I was busy with a shoot but when I came back, getting a tattoo was the first thing I did and it was a great surprise. I loved seeing Vidhi's reaction when she saw her gift,” says Ganesh.

                                 

                                    
Talking about his wife, the famous choreographer turned filmmaker says, “We have been married for 19 years now and Vidhi is the best I could ever have! I really appreciate all the love and support I got from her over the years. She is a big Shiv bhakt and makes sure she visits Shiv Temple every Monday , so I got my tattoo designed on her belief system. The tattoo with her name around Shivji's Trishool and Om," says Ganesh ji.

स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकरांवर आरोह वेलणकरचा सिनेमॅटिक स्टेज शो ‘वीर’

स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकरांवरच्या संघर्ष, त्याग आणि क्रांतीची यशोगाथा आता लवकरच नाट्यमय स्वरूपात रसिक प्रेक्षकांच्या समोर येणार आहे. शीवलीला फिल्म्स निर्मित आरोह वेलणकर दिग्दर्शित ‘वीर’ ह्या सिनेमॅटिक स्टेज शोव्दारे विनायक दामोदर सावकरांच्या तेजस्वी जीवनाचा अलौकिक प्रवास 30 एप्रिलपासून उलगडणार आहे.

                        

नुकतीच ‘वीर’ नाटकाची पत्रकार परिषद झाली. ह्या पत्रकार परिषदेमध्ये वीर नाटकाच्या मोशन पोस्टरचे अनावरण झाले. वीर नाटकाची संकल्पना कशी सुचली हे सांगताना ह्या नाट्यकृतीव्दारे दिग्दर्शनात पदार्पण करणारा अभिनेता आरोह वेलणकर म्हणाला, “मी लहानपणापासून वीर सावकरांच्या संघर्षमयी प्रवासाचा आणि साहसी वृत्तीचा चाहता राहिलो आहे. त्यात दोन वर्षांपूर्वी मी अंदमानला गेलो असताना सावरकरांच्या तुरूंगवासाची साक्षीदार असलेली सेल्युलर जेल पाहायला गेलो. आणि त्यांच्या ओजस्वी व्यक्तिमत्वाचा ठसा तिथेही जाणवला. त्यानंतर सावरकरांचा जीवनप्रवास उलगडून दाखवणारे एक महानाट्य घेऊन येण्याची संकल्पना सुचली.“

वीर नाटकाचे निर्माते शिवम लोणारी ह्यांचे हे पहिलेच नाटक. यापूर्वी शिवलीला फिल्म्सव्दारे त्यांनी ‘बर्नी’, ‘चिनु’, ‘साम दाम दंड भेद’ आणि ‘गुलदस्ता’ अशा सिनेमांची निर्मिती केली आहे. नाट्यसृष्टीत निर्माता म्हणून पाऊल ठेवताना शिवम लोणारी म्हणाले, “वीर सावरकरांचा संपूर्ण जीवनप्रवास अत्यंत प्रेरणादायी आहे. आजच्या पिढीला त्यांचा प्रेरणादायी जीवनपट सांगणं गरजेचे आहे, असे आम्हांला वाटले. त्यांचे मातृभूमीसाठीचे योगदान जेवढे मोठे आहे, तेवढाच त्यांचा जीवनप्रवास भव्य पध्दतीने दाखवावा असा विचार मनात आला आणि ह्या महानाट्याची निर्मिती केली.”

वीर सावकरांवरच्या ह्या महानाट्यात वाळु कलेपासून रेडियम पेंटिंगपर्यंत सुमारे 8 विविध कलाप्रकारांचा वापर करण्यात येणार आहे. स्वातंत्र्यवीर सावरकरांच्या पूणे, लंडन, अंदमान आणि रत्नागिरीच्या वास्तव्यातल्या  महत्वाच्या टप्प्यांवर प्रकाश टाकलेला ह्या नाट्यकृतीतून दिसून येईल.

वीर सावरकरांच्या भूमिकेत फर्जंद फेम अभिनेता निखील राऊत दिसणार आहे. अभिनेता निखील राऊत आपल्या भूमिकेविषयी म्हणाला, “ सावरकरांवरच्या महानाट्यात त्यांची भूमिका रंगवायला मिळणे हे माझे भाग्यच. सावरकरांमधला उत्कट देशभक्त, जहाल क्रांतीकारक, तेजस्वी लेखक, प्रभावी वक्ता, कुसुमकोमल कवी ते अगदी हृदयस्पर्शी माणूस आणि समजूतदार नवरा अशा त्यांच्या व्यक्तिमत्वातल्या अनेक छटा तुम्हांला पाहायला मिळतील.”

नाटकामध्ये अभिनेता निखील राऊतशिवाय राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेती अभिनेत्री नीलम पांचाल मुख्य भूमिकेत आहेत. नाटकाचा पहिला शो गणेश कलाक्रिडा रंगमंच, पूणे इथे होणार आहे.

Shri Pinarayi Vijayan hands over the 100^th Aster Home built by Aster Volunteers for flood victims of 2018

1 March, 2020, Kochi: Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Pinarayi Vijayan has handed over keys of the 100^th  house built by Aster Volunteers, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Aster DM Healthcare, for the flood victims of 2018 at an event held at Kochi Municipal Corporation Town Hall. This marks the completion of the first set of handovers out of the 250 Aster Homes which was announced as a part of the Rebuild Kerala initiative to help thousands of people who have lost everything that they possessed.

The Chief Minister has also felicitated Rotary International, partners of the project, and the people who donated land for the project at the function presided over by Soumini Jain, Mayor, Kochi Corporation.  

“We at Aster Volunteers, are extremely happy today on being able to fulfill our promise to provide shelter for a large number of the devastated victims of Kerala floods 2018.  Out of the 250 Aster Homes we promised, when the state was hit by the unprecedented tragedy, we have completed 100+ Aster Homes. We are humbled and honoured to be a part of the Rebuild Kerala Mission under the dynamic leadership of Honourable Chief Minister Shri Pinarayi Vijayan who has handed over the keys to the beneficiaries of Aster Homes at the function in Kochi. Aster Volunteers express sincere thanks to all those who supported this humanitarian initiative through various means. We hope to complete the mission to build 250 Aster Homes in a year’s time. The next phase of construction of the remaining houses is in progress,” said Dr. Azad Moopen, Managing Trustee of Aster DM Foundation. He added that with the success of the initial phase, many philanthropists have come forward to be a part of the initiative and they were also honored at the event.

Aster Volunteers is building a total of 250 houses for the flood victims under Aster Homes project. In the first phase, Aster Volunteers have completed 45 houses in Wayanad district, 33 in Ernakulam, 7 each in Alappuzha and Kottayam, 5 in Pathanamthitta and 4 in Kozhikode among others. Dr. Azad Moopen further said that Aster Homes will also build houses for the flood victims of 2019 on land donated by the local government bodies, organizations and individuals in places such as Kavalappara in Malappuram district and Puthumala in Wayanad district.
