Lokhandwala Half Marathon/10KM

One more feather added to the Celebration Club’s cap. A Half Marathon / 10K was organized on 6th November, 2016 for a very noble cause - Promoting and Encouraging Girl Child Education.

It was organized for the first time by the Club’s Hon. Secretary Mr. Hemant Nair and was met with stupendous success. Credit goes to him for conducting it in a highly professional manner and the execution was well planned.

There were a total number of 674 participants, from all age groups - young boys, girls, men, women and senior citizens who participated joyfully and enthusiastically. Some of them came from as far as Thane, Pune and Kohlapur.

Secretary of the Athletic Association, Mr. Ravi Bagdi provided the technical support. Each participant was given a chip whereby their timing was tracked.

The Marathon was flagged sharp  at 6am - 21K and 6:15am - 10K, as planned, from Celebration Club by actors Dino Morea, Mukesh Rishi, Corporator Smt.Jyotsna Dighe and Sub Inspector Mr.Subhash Khanvilkar from Oshiwara Police Station.

Runners were offered biscuits, water, health drinks at various stations which were strategically placed on route the track. The LIVE music and Dhol at various points and also cheering by the public  boosted and pepped up spirits of the participants and  kept their spirits high.

Also, another first was the breakfast organized for all at the end of the marathon, which no other Marathon has offered so far, this was welcomed by all. 

Prize distribution at the end of the marathon, in cash and medals was handed out by the Nation’s heartthrob - Actor Govinda.

The Celebration Club takes the opportunity to thank the local and traffic police for their support in monitoring traffic and ensuring smooth flow on the entire marathon route, and also the various sponsors – You Too Can Run,  Surrender Caterers, P D Shetty & Jaipal Decorators who also contributed immensely to the success, were Base 52, Dr. Mickey Mehta, Suburban Diagnostics & Axis Multi Speciality Hospital.

Every drop makes an ocean... and it’s the support of ALL that made the Marathon a Huge Success!!

The cast & crew of the film "Tez Raftaar" addressed the media at the on-location of an important scene of the film which revolves around a slum boy who is born in a squalid and overcrowded urban street around people who are deprived of basic needs of life. To his luck he is speckled by a renowned coach who trains him to become a state level athlete.  The story revolves around his struggles and aspirations to achieve his goals and carve a name for him.

BAPPI LAHIRI'S MUSICAL COMPOSITION FOR ARMAAN MALIK 

Bappi Lahiri is known to be accredited with providing newcomers with opportunities in the Music Industry. Back in 2006 when Bappi Lahiri was judging Little Champs Sa Re Ga Ma on Zee TV, he came across a gem in the show who is now the Teenage Star in India and voice behind some of the chart busters, Armaan Malik.

Hiten Paintal son of veteran actor Paintal (real name Kanwarjit Paintal) is playing lead character in film “30 MINUTES”, a Spectral India Media Management Pvt. Ltd presentation, with Hrishita Bhatt opposite him, his father Paintal, Hemant Pandey and others. His debut film was film ‘Tere Liye’, he quit television in early 2008, and now his upcoming film in lead role on 11^th November 2016 is “30 MINUTES”.

Hiten is playing a character who gets sycho whenever he hears a time limit of 30 minutes, due to pressure of his father since childhood, he says it is a thriller film not a horror one and when he received this offer he felt it is one of the best opportunity to prove himself as an actor, whereas he also says beside him onle Ranveer Kapoor and Ajay Devgun would have been perfect option for this character, but producer, director Yesudas BC believed on his talent and he was lucky to bag this role.

'Kunaal Roy Kapur signs Vishal Mishra's Next Romantic Comedy HUM DONO HONGE KAAMYAB opposite Tara Alisha Berry Set In Kanpur'.

After Delhi Belly & Nautanki Saala, Kunaal Roy Kapur has signed new quirky love story Hum Dono Honge kaamyab to be directed by Vishal Mishra and produced by Pramod Gore of Atharva Motion Pictures.The film will be shot entirely in Kanpur,Uttar Pradesh.

On being asked about his second film, critic turned director Vishal Mishra said "It's a quirky love story with a lot of warmth. The film has combo of amazing talents of Rajesh Sharma and Kunaal Roy Kapur with Indian pristine beauty of Tara Alisha Berry.' The film kicks off in 2nd week of November."
