Dubai. Porsche has presented the Taycan Cross Turismo to the public today with a virtual world premiere. The sports car manufacturer is expanding the product portfolio of its first all-electric sports car range with the addition of this versatile off-road version, thereby continuing the systematic pursuit of its path towards sustainable mobility. Like the Taycan sports saloon, the Taycan Cross Turismo benefits from an innovative electric drive with 800-volt architecture. The new high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension also ensures uncompromising dynamics off-road. Forty-seven millimeters more headroom for rear-seat passengers and more than 1,200 liters of load capacity make the Cross Turismo a true all-rounder.

“In 2019, we sent out a key signal with the debut of our first all-electric sports car,” said Oliver Blume Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG, at the world premiere of the new, even more, versatile derivative. “We see ourselves as pioneers of sustainable mobility: by 2025, half of all the new vehicles we will deliver will have an electrified drive – either fully electric or plug-in hybrid. The future belongs to electric mobility and with the Taycan Cross Turismo, we’re taking another major step in this direction.”

Full Cross Turismo range right from the start
The full model range comprising three derivatives of the Taycan Cross Turismo will be available at the official start of the sale. The Performance Battery Plus, which has a total capacity of 93.4 kWh, is always fitted as standard. The model range comprises the following:

·         The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo with 380 PS (280 kW), overboost power for Launch Control 476 PS (350 kW), acceleration 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, top speed 220 km/h, range (WLTP) 389 – 456 km

 

·         The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo with 490 PS (360 kW), overboost power with Launch Control 571 PS (420 kW), acceleration 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, top speed 240 km/h, range (WLTP) 388 – 452 km

 

·         The Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo with 625 PS (460 kW), overboost power with Launch Control 680 PS (500 kW), acceleration 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, top speed 250 km/h, range (WLTP) 395 – 452 km

The high-tech chassis with all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension comes as standard on all three models. The optional Off-road Design Package increases ground clearance by up to 30 mm. This means that the Cross Turismo can also be driven on demanding off-road terrain. The standard “Gravel Mode” improves the suitability of the new model for driving on rough roads.

In terms of its visual appearance, the Taycan Cross Turismo closely follows the Mission E Cross Turismo concept study presented at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Its silhouette is defined by the sporty roofline sloping down to the rear – called a “flying” by the Porsche designers. Off-road design elements include wheel arch trims, unique front, and rear lower aprons, and side sills. As part of the Off-Road Design package, the Cross Turismo has special flaps at the corners of the front and rear bumpers and at the ends of the sills. These make for a striking exterior as well as providing protection from stone impacts.

New bike carrier
Especially for the Taycan Cross Turismo, Porsche has developed a rear carrier for up to three bicycles that sets the benchmark in terms of package size and handling. It can be used universally for different types of bikes. One of its innovative features is that the tailgate can be opened even when the rear carrier is loaded.

The Taycan Cross Turismo will be available for order in due course with further announcements to follow.

3^rd March 2021, Mumbai: Maharashtra Govt. has been pursuing multi-faceted tourism initiatives to boost tourism in the state. Mrs. Valsa Nair Singh, IAS, Principal Secretary -Tourism, Govt. of Maharashtra underlined the need for maintaining the sustainability of coastal tourism with high return of investment during a session on ‘Investment Opportunities in Maharashtra’ at ‘The Virtual Maritime India Summit’ on 2nd March 2021.

 

During the session, Mrs. Nair puts the spotlight on promoting, developing, and harnessing the potential of Coastal and Beach tourism and emphasized growing the Blue Economy in a sustainable and inclusive manner in Konkan. She also highlighted some of the achievements and initiatives are undertaken by the Maharashtra Govt. towards sustainable coastal tourism in Konkan which include:

 

• Maharashtra State ranks No. 1 in India in Tourism
• Industry status is granted to Hospitality recently and will be implemented from 1^st April 2021
• To reach Konkan Coast, one can travel by air, water, rail, and roadways.
• The first tourist district in the country lies in Konkan i.e. Sindhudurg district
• Special incentives provided to the Special Tourism District under the Maharashtra Tourism Policy
• Development of Tarkarli as a tourist destination and construction of tourist accommodation (1989)
• Encouragement to Bed & Breakfast scheme in the region, to promote home-stays and local economy (1996)
• Successful implementation of Beach Shack Policy (2020), Agri-Tourism Policy (2020) & Caravan Policy (2021)
• The public-Private partnership model for MTDC resorts/open lands
• Inauguration stage of the airport at Chipi (proposed in 2021)
• Ease of doing business – Licenses reduced from 70 to 10 (2021) 
• 3000 Cr Investment MoUs (6000 employment generation) (2021) was recently announced
• Investment MoU signed in Sindhudurg with Taj group, at Shiroda, Vulgar and Fomento Resorts Pvt. Ltd., at Aravali Beach
• World-class scuba diving center, namely Indian Institute of Scuba Diving and Aquatic Sports (IISDA) is operating successfully in Tarkarli, Sindhudurg
• MoU incentives for resort and golf course under Tourism policy to Morve and Munge in Devgad

 

Mrs. Nair also highlighted the initiatives undertaken to promote tourism in the Konkan region including Beach Shacks & Facilities, Swadesh Darshan Scheme, and RTDS Projects in Konkan.

 

The Beach Shack policy will allow the setting up of 10 temporary beach shacks on each beach along the Konkan coast. Eight beaches were identified during the First Phase of the Implementation of this policy.

Under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme, the development of theme-based Sindhudurg Coastal Circuit is 90% complete and it is expected to be fully completed by May 2021.

She stated, “Petroglyphs of Ratnagiri is one of the oldest in Maharashtra (10000 BC) and the experts believe that they were created in prehistoric times and possibly among the oldest ever discovered.”

Mrs. Valsa Nair Singh also presented unique and potential concepts for the development of tourism in Konkan that include:

 

·         Fishing Units, Processing Units, Handicraft, Floating houses, Local Cuisine at Integrated Fishing Village

4^th March’21: VYRL Originals has always been known to work with young and upcoming artists and this time around they bring to you ‘Dooriyan’ in the soulful voice of Raghav Chaitanya starring the Shivin Narang of Beyhadh 2 fame & Apoorva Arora who shot to fame with College Romance and her various roles in popular web shows.

This song has been finely composed by Anurag Saikia, who previously has been known for composing the popular song ‘Ek Tukda Dhoop’ from the Bollywood movie Thappad which was also sung by Raghav. Dooriyan has been beautifully written by Kunaal Vermaa and it intends to make listeners think about the decisions one makes in a relationship and the value of losing your love    

Directed by Inside Edge Fame - Karan Anshuman, the music video showcases the story of a young couple experiencing the highs & lows in their relationship. Shivin and Apoorva portraying as the couple are shown to have been parted while they are on trek. The gripping music video unfolds the story of Shivin desperately looking for his partner while memories from their past, perfectly summarize how often we don’t value what we have until it’s lost.

Commenting on the track launch, Raghav Chaitanya said, “Dooriyan is an emotional song and very close to my heart. The music video will certainly make the audience hooked till the end. Dooriyan not only urges us to introspect but value our loved ones and Shivin and Apoorva have beautifully portrayed that message. I have always been wanting to release my song with VYRL Originals, and I’m extremely delighted to have launched Dooriyan with them. I have thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it, and it been a wonderful experience for me”

Excited about the release Shivin Narang said, “Cherishing and valuing love is so important and Dooriyan perfectly touches on that subject. Raghav has beautifully sung Kunaal Vermaa’s lyrics and Karan has craftily bought that to life with his direction in the video. People these days don’t think before they act, and I hope this song urges people to think once before taking any action. I had a great time shooting with Apoorva for this song and it was a lovely experience working with VYRL Originals. I really wish that Dooriyan connects with the audience.”

Commenting on Dooriyan, Apoorva Arora said, “I love Raghav’s voice. The lyrics struck a chord with me and Anurag sir’s music has added soul to the song. Rupali Suri is shooting in Paris for her next project and the shoot is temporarily stopped due to a covid case on set

Rupali Suri has been shooting in Paris Europe for her next project and the shooting has been brought to a halt temporarily. She was stuck in the interior of the villages in Paris as one of the crew members caught covid. The cases are secure there. Rupali is stuck with her crew that is her stylist, make-up artist, etc. There was a covid case onset and for precautions, the shooting had to be discontinued. It might start soon if reports are to be believed. They shot for a week and then the disease stuck to one of the crew members and as protocols would have it, the shoot has been stopped.

We spoke to Rupali on how she is spending her time and here is what she has to say, "It's been a difficult time throughout the world. We shot for a week and we had to stop the production due to one of the crew members contracting the disease. So I am currently here just moving around and seeing around a bit. Paris is a beautiful place. Always wanted to have a house here someday. Maybe someday I would. Who knows? On the work front, it's been good. The last year was hit badly due to the pandemic and things are just starting to get normal.

Aarya Babbar is on a roll with multiple projects and he seems unstoppable. He has shot a short film called Tijori alongside Veronica Vanij and Akansha Verma. The director of the short film is Pradeep and the film will be released on a major OTT. The OTT is the latest trend that is here to stay. Aarya has been in love with the platforms as it adds to his repertoire as an actor. Aarya Babbar looks fitter than ever and he is here for the long haul. He is an intense actor and we would love to know more about his process and also the project Tijori. He looked absolutely classy from the stills and we are all awaiting. Aarya shot for the short film in straight 18 hours continuous from start to finish.

We got in touch with Aarya and here is what he has got to say, "It was great shooting for tijori. It was an absolutely amazing time. The entire process was very fulfilling. We had an absolutely amazing team and we actually finished it pretty quick. The focus was great. The script here is the king. I loved it and I hope the audience will love the product. The OTT has evolved so much in such little time. We are really racing and it gives us all the adrenaline rush as actors."

The very manly Aarya Babbar seems to have found his true calling and he has tremendous potential which sadly we haven't seen completely. We wish him all the luck and love

1st March 2021, Goa: Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) announced the much-awaited reopening of the renovated and refurbished ESG Multiplex to the general public at a ceremony held today in Panaji, Goa. The ceremony was graced by Shri. Shubash Phal Desai - Vice Chairman, ESG, Dr. Tariq Thomas - IAS| SECRETARY, Govt. Later on, the dignitaries purchased movie tickets for Tom and Jerry Movie undertaking all necessary safety precautions to be followed by the public for a better theatrical experience, imposed due to COVID-19.

ESG Multiplex has state-of-the-art facilities with 4 screens that include comfortable seating comprising recliner seats and a Dolby Atmos sound system for a better sound and viewing experience to match international standards. The multiplex will also have a Café Unwind to entice the palates of Goans.
