एकापेक्षा जास्त अवयव निकामी झालेल्या ४० वर्षीय रुग्णाला दिले जीवनदान

जेसीआय मान्यताप्राप्त नवी मुंबईतील अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स हे एक परिपूर्ण व प्रगत वैद्यकीय सेवा पुरवणारे रुग्णालय आहे. आता या प्रतिष्ठित रुग्णालयाने हृदय निकामी झालेल्या नाशिकमधील ४० वर्षीय रुग्ण श्री. नवनाथ जर्हाड यांच्यावर गुंतागुंतीची अशी हृदय प्रत्यारोपणाची शस्त्रक्रिया यशस्वीरित्या पार पाडली. याआधी रुग्णाचे हृदय, फुफ्फुस, मूत्रपिंड आणि यकृत निकामी झाले होते. यामुळे वजन खूप कमी होणे, ओटीपोटीत पाणी साचणे (असाइटीस) आणि दोन्ही फुफ्फुसांच्या आत दोन्ही बाजूला पाणी साचणे अशा तक्रारी निर्माण झाल्या होत्या. रुग्णाला मुंबईच्या पश्चिम विभागातून दुसऱ्या एका खाजगी रुग्णालयातून अवयव प्राप्त झाला होता, हा अवयव केडीएच अंधेरी पश्चिम येथून ग्रीन कॉरिडॉरद्वारे नवी मुंबईतील अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स येथे नेण्यात आला. नवी मुंबईतील अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्समधील कार्डिओथोरॅसिक टीमने पाच तासांची जटिल प्रक्रिया करुन रुग्णाची हृदय प्रत्यारोपणाची शस्त्रक्रिया यशस्वीरित्या केली.

४० वर्षांच्या या रुग्णाला इस्केमिक कार्डिओमायोपॅथीमुळे हृदयविकाराचा त्रास झाला होता. जानेवारी २०२२ मध्ये त्याची ट्रिपल-वेसल अँजिओप्लास्टी देखील झाली होती. या वर्षी सप्टेंबरमध्ये त्यांच्या रोगाचे लक्षण खूप दिसू लागले होते आणि त्यांना उपचारांची नितांत आवश्यकता होती. हृदय, फुफ्फुस, यकृत आणि मूत्रपिंड निकामी झाल्यामुळे त्यांना आयसीयूमध्ये ठेवण्यात आले. त्यांची परिस्थिती इतकी गंभीर झाली होती की ते १०० मीटरपेक्षा जास्त चालू शकत नव्हते आणि त्यांना रात्री व्यवस्थित झोप लागत नव्हती.

डॉ. संजीव जाधव, संचालक, मुख्य हृदय शल्यचिकित्सक-हृदय फुफ्फुस प्रत्यारोपण, अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स, नवी मुंबई म्हणाले, "या रुग्णाचे अनेक अवयव निकामी झाले होते. त्यांना श्वासोच्छवासाचा खूप त्रास होता आणि त्यांच्या दोन्ही पायांवर व चेहऱ्यावर सूज आली होती, उदरामध्ये खूप पाणी साचलं होतं (असाइटीस) आणि त्यांच्या दोन्ही फुफ्फुसाभोवती दोन्ही बाजूला पाणी साचलं होतं. त्यांना इतर आजार होण्याचा आणि मृत्यू येण्याचा धोका देखील खूप जास्त होता. महत्वाचे म्हणजे त्यांच्या आरोग्याच्या समस्यांमुळे त्यांच्या जीवनशैलीवर आणि कुटुंबावर देखील विपरित परिणाम होत होता, म्हणून त्यांना उपचार घेणे आवश्यक होते. त्यांना २२ वर्षांच्या मृत दात्याकडून हृदय मिळाले होते आणि प्रत्यारोपण यशस्वीरित्या पार पडले. प्रत्यारोपणानंतर त्यांचे इतर महत्वाचे अवयव व्यवस्थित काम करु लागले आणि त्यांची प्रकृती देखील सुधारली."
