Brihanmumbai Kreeda ani Lalit Kala Pratishthan (BKLKP) proved the strongest among the rest, winning all their league matches in the Kanji Cup for juniors at the Motiram, Ullal and Kanji Cup Inter-Club Badminton Tournament, organised by GMBA and hosted by Willingdon Sports Club, at their courts on Saturday.

BKLKP began their campaign with 4-1 win over Bombay Gymkhana, before routing host club Willingdon Sports Club 5-0. They then beat GCH 5-0 to end a rewarding day.

 

Bombay Gymkhana also recovered after their opening loss to win their next two matches and stay in the fray.

बऱ्याच दिवसांपासून अंकुश चौधरीच्या वर्दीतील लुकची व डायलॉगची सर्वत्र जोरदार चर्चा होत आहे. महाराष्ट्राचा ‘स्टाईल आयकॉन’ आणि ‘पॉवर परफॉर्मर’ अंकुश चौधरी ‘पी. एस. आय. अर्जुन’मध्ये फुल ॲक्शन रोलमध्ये दिसत आहे. चित्रपटाचे टीझर आणि गाणे आधीच प्रेक्षकांच्या पसंतीस येत असून, प्रेक्षकांच्या मनात या चित्रपटाबद्दल प्रचंड उत्सुकता निर्माण झाली आहे. ही उत्सुकता अधिक वाढवण्यासाठी आता या चित्रपटाचा जबरदस्त ट्रेलर प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला आला आहे. नुकताच 'पी.एस. आय. अर्जुन' चा भव्य ट्रेलर लाँच सोहळा अतिशय अनोख्या पद्धतीने पार पडला. यावेळी नवापूर पोलीस स्टेशनचे रिक्रिएशन करून जेलमध्ये हा सोहळा संपन्न झाला. चित्रपटातील पोलीस अधिकारी बेड्या ठोकून अंकुश चौधरीला जेलमध्ये घेऊन आले. अंकुशची ही धमाकेदार एंट्री सर्वांनाच भावली. तसेच यावेळी चित्रपटातील प्रमोशनल सॉन्गही येथे सादर झाले. मराठीत इतक्या भव्यदिव्य आणि आगळ्यावेगळ्या स्वरूपात पार पडलेला हा बहुदा पहिला ट्रेलर लाँच सोहळा असावा. या ट्रेलर लाँचला चित्रपटाची संपूर्ण टीम उपस्थित होती. 

ट्रेलरमध्ये अंकुश चौधरींची व्यक्तिरेखा संभ्रम निर्माण करणारी दिसत आहे. त्यामुळे तो नक्की चोर आहे की पोलीस, याचे उत्तर प्रेक्षकांना चित्रपट पाहिल्यावरच मिळणार आहे. असे असले तरी अंकुशचा पोलिसांच्या वर्दीतील डॅशिंग लूक, बिनधास्त ॲक्शन आणि कमाल डायलॉग्स प्रेक्षकांचे लक्ष वेधत आहेत. ट्रेलर पाहून चित्रपटात अनेक रहस्ये असल्याचे दिसतेय. त्यामुळे या उत्कंठावर्धक चित्रपटाची प्रेक्षक आतुरतेने वाट पाहात आहेत, हे नक्की !

ट्रेलरबद्दल दिग्दर्शक भूषण पटेल म्हणतात, ‘’मराठी प्रेक्षक चोखंदळ असल्याने त्यांच्यासाठी एखादा जबरदस्त चित्रपट घेऊन येण्याची खूप इच्छा होती. पीएसआय अर्जुन एक असा चित्रपट आहे, ज्यात ॲक्शन, सस्पेन्स, रोमान्स असे सगळेच आहे. त्यामुळे फॅमिलीसाठी हा चित्रपट म्हणजे मनोरंजनाचे परिपूर्ण पॅकेज आहे. माझ्या पहिल्याच चित्रपटात अंकुश चौधरीसारखा अभिनेता आम्हाला लाभला. इतके नामवंत कलाकार आमच्या या चित्रपटात सहभागी झाले, यातच सर्व काही आले. ट्रेलरवरून प्रेक्षकांना चित्रपटाचा अंदाज आला असलेच. आम्ही प्रेमाने आणि मेहनतीने हा चित्रपट बनवला आहे. आता ९ मेपासून आम्ही तो प्रेक्षकांच्या स्वाधीन करणार आहोत. मला खात्री आहे, प्रेक्षक ‘पी. एस. आय. अर्जुन’वर भरभरून प्रेम करतील.’’

निर्माते विक्रम शंकर म्हणतात, ‘’चित्रपटाच्या ट्रेलरचे लाँचिंग वेगळया पद्धतीने करण्याचे मनात होते. चित्रपट पोलिसांवर आधारित असल्याने जेलमध्ये ट्रेलर लाँच सोहळा करावा असे ठरले. खूप वेगळा असा चित्रपट आम्ही प्रेक्षकांसाठी घेऊन येत आहोत. चित्रपटातील डायलॅाग्स सध्या खूप व्हायरल होत आहेत. त्यात नुकतेच प्रदर्शित झालेले गाणेही धुमाकूळ घालत आहे. रसिकांकडून मिळणारा असा उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद आम्हाला उत्साह देणारा आहे. मुळात ही चित्रपटाची टीम कमाल आहे. बॅालिवूडला सुपरहिट थ्रिलर चित्रपट देणारे दिग्दर्शक, मराठीतील सर्वोत्कृष्ट कलाकार, नकाश अजीज यांच्यासारखा गायक अशी उत्तम भट्टी जमून आली आहे.’’

या चित्रपटात अंकुश चौधरीसह किशोर कदम, राजेंद्र शिसटकर, नंदू माधव, कमलाकर सातपुते आणि अक्षया हिंदळकर यांच्या प्रमुख आहेत. व्हिस्ट्रोमॅक्स सिनेमा, ड्रिमविव्हर एंटरटेनमेंट निर्मित  'पी.एस.आय.अर्जुन'चे भूषण पटेल दिग्दर्शक आहेत तर विक्रम शंकर आणि ध्रुव दास निर्माते आहेत. येत्या ९ मे २०२५ रोजी चित्रपट प्रदर्शित होणार आहे.

उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीची आणि बालपणातील गोड मैत्रीची आठवण करून देणारा ‘एप्रिल मे ९९’ हा चित्रपट येत्या १६ मे रोजी प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे. बालपणातील आठवणी जागवणाऱ्या या चित्रपटाबद्दल रसिकांमध्ये चांगलीच उत्सुकता निर्माण झाली असतानाच नुकतेच या चित्रपटातील एक गोड, हृदयस्पर्शी गाणे प्रदर्शित झाले असून या गाण्याने प्रेक्षकांच्या मनात पुन्हा एकदा शालेय दिवसांची आणि पहिल्या मैत्रीणीची आठवण जागवली आहे. ‘मन जाई’ असे बोल असणाऱ्या या गाण्याला सोनू निगम यांचा सुरेल आवाज लाभला असून प्रशांत मडपुवार, रोहन प्रधान यांनी शब्दबद्ध केले आहे. तर रोहन -रोहन यांच्या संगीताने हे गाणे अधिकच श्रवणीय बनले आहे. 

कृष्णा, प्रसाद आणि सिद्धेश या तिघांची जाईशी होणारी घट्ट मैत्री यात दाखवण्यात आली आहे. 

निर्माते राजेश मापुस्कर म्हणतात, "‘एप्रिल मे ९९’ हा एक चित्रपट नाही तर ९० च्या दशकातील प्रत्येकाच्या बालपणाची नाजूक आठवण आहे. आम्ही प्रयत्न केला आहे की, प्रेक्षकांना त्यांच्या बालपणीच्या आयुष्यातील गोड क्षण पुन्हा अनुभवता यावेत. प्रदर्शित झालेले गाणे हे त्या बालमैत्रीचे आणि नकळत्या वयातील भावनांचे प्रतिबिंब आहे. या गाण्याच्या निमित्ताने प्रेक्षकांना आपल्या बालमित्रांची आठवणी नक्की येईल."

दिग्दर्शक रोहन मापुस्कर म्हणतात," या गाण्यातून आम्ही त्या निष्पाप भावनांना पकडण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे, ज्या वयात मैत्री आणि प्रेम यामधील रेषा फारच धूसर असतात. कृष्णा, प्रसाद, सिद्धेश आणि जाई यांची मैत्री आणि त्यातून नकळत फुलणारी भावना ही प्रत्येकाने अनुभवलेली असते. या गाण्यातून प्रेक्षकवर्ग त्यांचे स्वतःचे बालपण नक्कीच अनुभवतील. ९० व्या दशकाची ही गोड सफर प्रेक्षकांना नक्की आवडेल."

मापुस्कर ब्रदर्स इन असोसिएशन विथ फिंगर प्रिंट फिल्म्स, नेक्सस अलायन्स, थिंक टँक आणि मॅगीज पिक्चर्स प्रस्तुत 'एप्रिल मे ९९’ या चित्रपटाचे लेखन आणि दिग्दर्शन रोहन मापुस्कर यांनी केले असून राजेश मापुस्कर, मधुकर कोटीयन, जोगेश भूटानी , मॉरिस नून हे निर्माते आहेत तर लॉरेन्स डिसोझा सह निर्माते आहेत.
