प्रेक्षक, समीक्षक आणि मान्यवरांनी एकमुखाने गौरवलेल्या ‘वाडा चिरेबंदी’  या नाटकाला अमेरिकेतील महाराष्ट्रीयन प्रेक्षकांनी उत्स्फूर्त दाद दिली. सध्या ‘वाडा चिरेबंदी’ नाटकाचा अमेरिका दौरा सुरू असून या अभिजात कलाकृतीच्या समारोपाचे प्रयोग मे महिन्यात अमेरिकेत होतायेत. या दौऱ्यातील प्रत्येक प्रयोगाला प्रेक्षकांचा जोरदार प्रतिसाद मिळत आहे. दि. ९ मे वॉशिंग्टन डिसी, दि. १० मे डेट्रॉईट, दि. ११ मे शिकागो, दि. १६ मे ऑस्टीन, दि. १७ मे डलास, दि. १८ मे लॉस एन्जलीस, दि. २३ मे सॅन डियागो आणि दि. २५ मे सॅन जोसे. येथे पुढील प्रयोग होणार आहेत.

बदलती एकत्र कुटुंब पद्धती, बदलता काळ त्यासोबत बदलते नातेसंबंध असा भावभावनांचा भव्यपट रंगमंचावर बघणं म्हणजे  आम्हां नाट्य रसिकांसाठी पर्वणीच होती, अशा शब्दांत अमेरिकेतील नाट्यरसिकांनी या नाट्यकृतीचे कौतुक केले. अमेरिकेत अनेक संस्था मराठी नाटकांचे आयोजन करतात. त्यांच्या या उत्साहाला प्रतिसाद देत रंजनाचा आनंद त्यांना द्यावा या भावनेने आम्ही हे समारोपाचे प्रयोग अमेरिकेत सादर केल्याचे निर्माता, दिग्दर्शकांनी सांगितले. अमेरिकेत स्थायिक असलेले शैलेश शेट्ये आणि प्रमोद पाटील यांच्या 'फाईव्ह डायमेन्शन्स' या संस्थेने हा दौरा आयोजित केला आहे.

‘वामा - लढाई सन्मानाची’ या आगामी मराठी चित्रपटाचा जबरदस्त टिझर नुकताच प्रदर्शित झाला असून, तो प्रेक्षकांच्या पसंतीस उतरत असतानाच आता या चित्रपटातील ‘फायर ब्रिगेडला बोलवा’ हे जबरदस्त आयटम साँग संगीतप्रेमींच्या भेटीला आले आहे. या गाण्याने इंटरनेटवर अक्षरशः धुमाकूळ घातला आहे. महाराष्ट्राची लोकप्रिय डान्सर गौतमी पाटील हिने या गाण्यात आपल्या ठसकेबाज अदांनी पुन्हा एकदा प्रेक्षकांची मनं जिंकली आहेत. गाण्यातील तिच्या ठसकेबाज नखऱ्याने सोशल मीडियावर आग लावली आहे, असं म्हणायला हरकत नाही. गौतमी पाटीलचा हॉट अंदाज, वैशाली सामंत यांचा दमदार आवाज व सुचिर कुलकर्णी यांचे कमाल संगीत प्रेक्षकांना थिरकायला लावत आहे. गाण्याचे बोल तरंग वैद्य यांचे आहेत. आकर्षक सादरीकरण आणि उत्साही संगीताने हे गाणे सध्या सर्वत्र हिट ठरत आहे. 

‘वामा - लढाई सन्मानाची’ चित्रपटाची कथा स्त्री सन्मान, आत्मगौरव आणि संघर्ष याभोवती फिरणारी असून, त्यात नायिकेची सशक्त लढाई मांडण्यात आली आहे. या चित्रपटात अभिनेत्री कश्मीरा कुलकर्णी प्रमुख भूमिकेत पाहायला मिळेल. तसेच चित्रपटात डॉ. महेश कुमार, गणेश दिवेकर, जुई बी यांच्याही प्रमुख भूमिका पाहायला मिळतील.

निर्माते सुब्रमण्यम के. म्हणतात, ‘’ हे गाणे  चित्रपटात एक वेगळीच रंगत आणणारे आहे. गाण्याची टीमही जबरदस्त असल्याने या गाण्याला उत्तम प्रतिसादही मिळत आहे.

 हे आयटम साँग ही कथेची गरज होती आणि या नृत्यासाठी गौतमी पाटीलाशिवाय कोणीही पर्याय असूच शकत नाही. या गाण्याचे उज्जैनमध्ये ४ डिग्री सेल्सिअसमध्ये चित्रीकरण झाले. गौतमीने एवढ्या थंडीत, अगदी काही तासांत नृत्याचा सराव करत इतके बहारदार नृत्य सादर केले. यातून तिचे कामाप्रती असलेले प्रेम आणि व्यावसायिकता दिसते. गौतमीची अदाकारी, वैशाली सामंत यांचा ठसकेदार आवाज.

This prestigious wrestling championship was designed to discover and celebrate emerging talent across Haryana. The campaign witnessed participation from over 1500+ aspiring wrestlers across all 22 districts of Haryana. From the local akhadas to the grand mat of the finale, the journey saw intense district-level qualifiers, with top contenders advancing to the final rounds held in New Delhi. The championship featured freestyle wrestling across various weight categories for both men and women, offering a professional platform to showcase talent and determination.

The event crowned Aakash Kumar from Jhajjar as the Sabse Khaas Pehelwaan in the 61 kg men’s weight category, along with winners in other categories — Jaideep from Sonipat (74 kg, men) and Anirudh from Sonipat (125 kg, men). Among the women, winners included Parveen from Hisar (53 kg), Neha from Charkhi Dadri (62 kg), and Priya from Jind (76 kg). The first prize carried ₹1,00,000, followed by ₹50,000 for the second place and ₹25,000 each for joint third-place winners. The champions will also have the opportunity to feature as brand ambassadors in micro-markets, further reinforcing the local connect.

Brihanmumbai Kreeda Lalit Kala Pratishthan (BKLKP) outplayed CCI A 2-0 to win the Motiram Cup Elite Group title in the Motiram Ullal and Kanji Cup Inter-Club Badminton Championships, organised by GMBA, hosted by Willingdon SC and promoted by Badminton Gurukul, here, on Sunday.

Arjun Singh and Sushrut Karmarkar won the opening doubles to give BKLKP the lead. Nigel D’Sa playing the singles for CCI, could not produce the form that had seen him bail his team out on previous occasions. Pitted against Soham Pathak, Nigel lost 18-21, 14-21 and ended CCI’s hopes.

Gargi Degvekar was once again the star player for Chembur Gymkhana, featuring on the winning side in two matches to defeat Khar Gym 2-0. After partnering Tanvi Gharpure in the opening doubles to defeat Kairavi Thakore and Manya Avlani 21-11, 21-7, Gargi went on to win the singles in trying conditions and seal the title, defeating Manya Avlani, who retired after losing the close opening game 20-22.

Goregaon SC lifted the Kanji Cup for juniors, defeating Chembur Gymkhana 3-1.
