  Royal Fables Collaborate With Jhelum to host its first ever royal exposition in the emerging metropolis of Pune

 

Heritage clothing crafted by designers of royal descent come alive at this exquisite the show presented by Jhelum, the Multi designer store based in the city.

Presenting a veritable treasure trove, ‘Jhelum, the multi-designer store’ invites ‘Royal Fables’, the only authentic platform that showcases the mystical world of Princely India for a one day luxury pop up on 6th August 2019 in Hotel Conrad Pune.

‘Royal Fables’, into its 10th season this year is India’s only authentic platform that recreates the mystical world of regal, royal India. In the past nine years, Royal Fables has staged spectacular expositions within India, as well as held heritage, shows in cities like Marrakech, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Dallas, and Miami.

 ‘Jhelum, the multi-designer store’ has outlets in Mumbai at Santacruz West and Peddar Road diagonally opposite Antilia India’s most expensive residence. And in Pune at Baner which boats of having a store in store concept of ASAL the diffusion label of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. And many other senior couturiers like JJ Valaya, Vikram Phadnis, Rocky S, Anushree Reddy, MXS: Monisha Jaising and Shweta Bachchan's new label      and many more.  

 

This exposition is also presented by Kishandas & CO and they will bring the fabled jewellery house of Hyderabad to Pune. Jewellers to the nawabs and a brand that has dressed iconic brides, Kishandas will also present their festive collection in association with Plumtin, a couture label from Chandigarh that presents bridal collections that befit an heirloom and resplendent with the most exquisite embroideries.

Right from 11 am in the morning to 8 pm in the evening luxury seekers and stylish divas can shop from the royal designers and get fashion ready for the forthcoming festive season. On view will be exquisite block prints, synonymous with Royal Rajasthan, elegant chiffons wore by erstwhile Maharanis, weaves from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Banaras that are truly regal and amazing capes, jackets, Lehengas, Sheraras, and Poshaks. Crafted in soft silks, gossamer chiffons and easy breathe cotton, the collections recreate the era of regal dressing.

At the exposition will be available cotton classics, hand-blocked; Chiffons, ombre dyed embroidered and lined with vintage borders; Heirloom Textiles handcrafted by traditional Gota Patti artisans, spun in gold- borders, and weaves. Also will be showcasing richly embroidered heirloom shawls and Kosa silk dupattas. Phulgars, quilted blankets and Jackets handcrafted from the region of Rajasthan.

Porsche India welcomes the new Macan

New Delhi. Following a comprehensive upgrade, one of Porsche’s most popular models, the Macan, is now available in India. With performance credentials that underline the model’s position as the true sports car in its segment, the latest generation was showcased to guests at a launch event. The brand’s compact SUV has evolved in terms of comfort and driving dynamics, with two engine versions available at launch, the Macan and the more powerful Macan S.

Commenting on the arrival of the new model, Pavan Shetty, Director, Porsche India, said: “The Macan has been one of our most successful series in India and with the new generation combining even more pronounced Porsche DNA, greater performance and comfort, I am confident that the success story is sure to continue. I believe that the Macan is the most exciting compact SUV on the market, never allowing you to forget it is a true sports car at heart. The new range offers the perfect balance of emotions and functionality. The newly introduced Crest Care Package for the Macan offers complete peace of mind for the vehicle’s upkeep and I am delighted to be welcoming the first variants of Macan to the market.”

The Macan comes to the starting line with an enhanced 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 252 hp and delivering a maximum torque of 370 Nm. It accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds (when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package) and reaches a top speed of 227 km/h. The Macan S is powered by a new V6 engine, which was first introduced in the new generations of the Panamera and Cayenne. The high-tech power unit produces 354 hp (an increase of 14 hp compared to its predecessor) and a torque output of 480 Nm. As a result, acceleration to 100 km/h is just 5.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono Package; its top speed is 254 km/h.

The vehicle dynamics of the Macan remain a principle feature. The revamped chassis increases driving pleasure, offering stability and improved comfort thanks to newly developed mixed-size tyres, enhanced brakes and the intelligent all-wheel drive Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system. All combined, the Macan feels even more like a sports car than ever before.

A further evolved design language is visible in the new Macan, giving it an even more distinctive and confident appearance. The front end of the Macan has been comprehensively revamped and now appears wider. Redesigned main headlights feature LED technology as standard, whilst a three-dimensional LED light panel on the rear of the vehicle is also incorporated in the new range. Drivers have more scope to express their personality too with the addition of four exterior colours – Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Miami Blue and Crayon.

Inside, the new Macan offers high-quality equipment. The seat surfaces are covered with Alcantara® and the steering wheel, selector lever and armrests are finished in leather with additional full-leather interiors also optionally available. Porsche’s sports car DNA can be found throughout. The optional GT sports steering wheel echoes the Porsche 911, whilst a mode switch integrated into the steering wheel – including Sport Response button – is part of the optional Sport Chrono Package and was originally used in the Porsche 918 Spyder super sports car. Enhanced functionality comes via the new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, including a 27.6 cm touchscreen (increased from 18.2 cm) as standard.

Vishwajeet Pradhan starting with TV series Fauji in 1989, has completed 30 years in the film industry. Having acted in more than 200 films and serials like Maryada - lekin kab tak & Ek Boond Ishq, he was away in Australia since past four years. Ask him about it & he says, " well, I needed a break from the breakneck speed of daily soaps.

 Now my kids are studying there and I am back in action here. He's already finished shooting for Eros' Trilingual film starring Rana Dagubatti . In Mumbai at present he is shooting for Red Chillies film for an OTT digital platform . Ask him more and he says that looking at the contracts in place nowadays, I can only borrow a line from Commander Abhinandan, "I am not supposed to tell you that." A break in Australia with some Theatre & Television work was a wonderful change. But it's great to be back with all the exciting possibilities on the horizon.

While Chirag Shah, founder of GoCeleb, is still basking in the resounding success of his Gujarat City Tour with Laxmikant Pyarelal, the brainchild behind the Entertainment Company is already looking forward to the many musical shows planned for this year starting with Navratri.

“The success of our previous shows with Pyarelalji has been unprecedented, and that’s motivated us enough to make our future shows all the more extravagant,” says Chirag. He further adds, “We have major shows planned till end of 2019! It’s a five city tour with singers like Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi Lahiri, Salman Ali, Javed Ali, Pankaj Udhaas, Lalit Pandit and Shaan among many others. A total of 40 singers have been signed on board and some exciting and exhilarating Navratri nights are also in the offing.”

Talking about the plans for the entertainment firm, which at the outset started off as an online artist booking portal, Chirag says, “Our aim with GoCeleb is to give the best entertainment to people. While in the movies, people just have to watch pre-recorded content, with LIVE Shows, they have the option to alter the entertainment quotient by making requests and engaging with the singers. Even the artists can plan their own show flow and alter the entertainment pegs. We have signed up with over 3000 artists so far and many more are to join us too.”

It is learnt that GoCeleb is soon to launch a Celebrity Merchandise Auction Portal as well. This online auction portal will give fans the access and the chance to participate in the auction and bid for the merchandises of their favourite celebrities. A part of the proceeds of the auction will be donated to NGOs, thus contributing towards the society as well.
