Locations Exhibition Conference & Awards- A pioneering concept created by Sudhanshu Hukku

       Locations Exhibition Conference & Awards was held at The Orchids Hotel, Santacruz East in Mumbai. Spread over from 30th, September (Friday) - 1st September, 2016 (Saturday it's is an annual platform based on the concept "Films are Catalysts to Tourism". In 2007 BBC declared it as the “World’s First Film Tourism Event”
       The awards night saw the presence from the film fraternity including Ratan Jain, Vijay Galani, Rajat Rawail, Ashish Singh, Aneel Murarka, Prashant Virendra Sharma, Smita Gondkar, DJ Sheizwood, Dolly Minhas, Salim Arif, Anil Nagrath, Shweta Khanduri, Milind Ukey etc were present. 

         Locations Exhibition Conference brings  the Indian Film Fraternity under one roof to interact with various aspects of International Locations and Production possibilities (Suppliers). Which include Filming Subsidies, Tax Rebates & Other Concessions, to Shoot a Film on their Shores. Involving respective Tourism boards, Film commissions, Local line production companies, airlines, railways, resorts and travel  service providers. Locations has seen the presence of more than Fifty Countries and  Indian states too. 
Location Awards is an extension of the Film Tourism Concept, Celebrated as the Locations Awards which is  a tribute to the Two industries- i.e the Indian Films & the Global Tourism / Film Commissions and Allied organisations,  An Interaction between the two, to promote various International Destinations through Indian Films.

SYNOPSIS

Roman Hindi

Sonia ek bahut hi mahatva-kankshi ladki hai, jo paison ke liye kisi bhi hadd tak jaa sakti hai. Apne sapnon ko poora karne ke liye wo mumbai aati hai. Yahan wo ek bade businessman Mr. Ashok ke liye kaam karti hai.
Phir uski zindagi me Vijay aata hai. Sonia , Ashok aur Vijay dono ko apne jaal me phansaati hai. Idhar Ashok apni patni Shobha ko khush nahi rakhta to Sonia, Shobha aur Vijay ko milwati hai dono me affair shuru ho jaata hai. Idhar Sonia ek aur chaal chalti hai aur Ashok ke  khaas dost aur Advocate Sunil ko bhi apne husn ki jaal me phansaati hai. Achanak ek din Ashok ka qatl ho jaata hai. Senior Inspector Siddharth qaatil ki talaash kar rahe hain. Sonia, Vijay, Sunil aur Shobha pe shak jaata hai.
"Miss khiladi - The Perfect Player"  kahani hai Sonia, Vijay, Sunil aur  Shobha ke shaatiraana khel ki. Sabhi achhe khilaadi hain magar behtareen khilaadi kaun hai? Aur Inspector Siddharth iss gutthi ko kaise suljhate hain ki kisne?  Kab?  Aur kyun? Ashok ka qatl kiya.

English

Sonia is an ambitious girl who can cross any limits to achieve her goals. She meets businessman Ashok in Mumbai and then Vijay. Sonia pleases Vijay and Ashok in her own way. Ashok's wife Shobha isn't happy with him, Sonia introduces her to Vijay and thats the start of their affair. Sonia plays a game and amuses Ashok's advocate friend Sunil with her beauty. Suddenly one day Ashok is murdered and Senior Inspector Siddharth is investigating the case. Sonia, Vijay, Sunil and Shobha are his prime suspects.
Miss Khiladi - The Perfect Player
This a story of Sonia, Vijay, Sunil & Shobha. Each one of them are good players of the game but who is the perfect player. How will Inspector Siddharth solve this puzzle of Who? When? Why & How? Murdered Ashok.

            Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited Acquires BSS                               Microfinance Private Limited


      Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited (Kotak), today announced that it has executed binding share purchase agreement to acquire 99.49% of equity shares of BSS Microfinance Private Limited (BSS), a Non-Banking Finance Company, classified as a NBFC-MFI, from existing shareholders subject to regulatory and other approvals, including Reserve Bank of India. The acquisition has been approved by the Board of Directors of Kotak Mahindra Bank and is for an aggregate all-cash consideration of Rs. 139.2 crore. As of June 30, 2016, BSS has a networth of approximately Rs. 73 crore and microfinance loans of Rs. 483 crore in its books. It will be a subsidiary of Kotak after receiving regulatory and other approvals.

                                               Strategic rationale and benefits

     BSS has a commercially established model in the microfinance segment. This acquisition gives Kotak access to BSS’s growing customer base which currently stands at over 2,17,000 and network of 78 branches (as of June 30, 2016). 
  This acquisition offers Kotak a deeper reach in the low income segment, and also increases the access of BSS’s customer base to Kotak’s wide array of products and services. Further, BSS’s loan book also qualifies for Priority Sector Lending (PSL). Kotak and the BSS team will leverage their combined experience to scale up the existing platform.

Narayan SA, President – Commercial Banking, Kotak Mahindra Bank, said “Financial inclusion is one of the imperatives of our country, and this acquisition is a testimony of our commitment to cater to the needs of weaker sections of society in a commercially viable manner. The capabilities and processes required for this customer segment are unique, and cannot be created easily or organically in a short span. BSS is of the right size, culturally compatible with Kotak, and has proven its processes and value systems over a decade.”

“We will leverage BSS’s deep presence in the segment and related experience to ensure that customers’ needs are served best and consistent with the past culture” added Narayan.

Dr. Ramesh Bellamkonda, Promoter, Chairman & MD, BSS Microfinance Pvt. Ltd. said, “Our institution has an excellent team, with good systems and processes. Until now, we have been hobbled with constraints of equity capital. The deal not only helps us overcome this constraint but also allows us to offer savings products in conjunction with Kotak Mahindra Bank, once the deal is consummated.  We will now be able to expand, and provide better products and services to both existing and new clients across the country. I am excited about the prospect that we can now play a more meaningful role to alleviate poverty in our country, much better than we have done so far.”

        Kotak is renowned for its employee orientation and retention of talent. It appreciates the culture of BSS and capabilities of its 728 employees, which will be leveraged for the next phase of growth.

The single directed by Colossus (Ajay & Lovel), is picturized & vocals given by Sophie Choudry which revolves around a bachelorette party. The single “Sajan Main Nachungi” opens with a fun opening verse and then launches into club mode with the party beats. When the song speeds up the tempo, it sounds very punjabi-like which enhances the danceable mood of the song. Although the song has a western touch, it is undoubtedly high on its hindi & punjabi feel.

I was looking for something substantial after ‘Commando’ and i got this script and I signed it.We have shot maximum portion in Thailand.I would like to thank my Producer Ali Unwala and director Anwer Khan for this great role. Arbaaz Khan,Bruna Abdullah,Murli Sharma,Vijay Patkar and Zarina Wahab are other cast of film.Trailer of the film have got more than 2 million hit. 6Degree, India’s leading fashion talent and tech platform reinterpreted the forthcoming festive season’s fashion statements atthe 6Degree Stage One duringLakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016 runway.  The platform created quite a buzz among the fashion enthusiasts of the country by launching four established designers - Sumona Parekh, Architha Narayanam, Saroj Jalan, and Sanjukta Dutta.In addition; it was the dazzling beauties of B’town who stole the limelight at the highly-coveted fashion week. The bold and gorgeous Radhika Apte looked beautiful in a bridal ensemble designed by Saroj Jalan and Bollywood’s newly-married star Bipasha Basu made quite the statement in her ethnic outfit at Sanjukta Dutta’s show. While singer-actress Sophie Chaudhary walked the ramp for Sumona Parekh, petite beauty Karishma Kapoor looked resplendent in Architha’s bridal couture. The designers showcased their bridal collections on the final day at the 6Degree show of the fashion extravaganza, which was held in St.Regis, Mumbai on 28th August,2016.

Known for her fashionable and exquisite range of customized and hand-crafted Assamese Mekhla Chadors with different varieties of colored silk threads, Sanjukta Dutta’sensembles at the show were yet again a culmination of culture and religion of Assam.She re-interpreted the traditional Mekhla Chadorswith motifs based on the integrity, tranquility and cultural heritage of Assam in the form of Sutradhar (the anchor of Assamese Bhaona), the Tea Gardens, Fauna of Kaziranga, Flora of North-East, Fishing women, Weavers and Jhapi(traditional hat). The designer selected Mugaand white as the colour theme, which isin stark contrast to her usual colorfulselections.
Sanjukta Dutta commented, “Although I have been a part of several prestigious shows like ‘India Beach Fashion Week, Goa 2016’, ‘Mysore Fashion Week: The Royal Runway 2015’ and ‘Women's Era Palaash Miss India 2015’, apart from presenting my designs to the British Royal Family during their recent visit to India, 6Degree has given me a wonderful opportunity to be part of the country’s premium fashion event. Being a part of this runway will enable me to establish a broader connect with the consumers of the global fashion world and widen my label’s footprint extensively across the country and the globe.Today, I feel that my decision of quitting my comfortable government job to pursue my passion has been truly rewarded.”
Designer Saroj Jalan’s collection was yet again inspired by the rich past of India. Her collection, inspired by Poet Amir Khusro’s Sakalban, incorporated the mystic beauty of Mother Nature in bold colour palettes. The delicate floral patterns intricately used in her Zardozi and hand-woven Tussar silk& velvet garments added a vibrant and fresh touch of feminity and poise. Meanwhile, Hyderabad-based designer ArchithaNarayanam unveiled her enthralling bridal collection, which was a blend of traditionalism and modernism of two cities, ‘Banaras’ from north India and Hyderabad from south India. The ensembles inred, green and gold hues with elephant motifs and Zardozienhancements featured the ancient and indigenous lifestyles of the two.
Designer Sumona Parekh’s collection“Revival of the Baluchari” was inspired by the philosophy behind her label that juxtaposes the old with the new. The original Baluchari sarees originating from West Bengal 200 years ago in the 18th Century depict mythological scenes on the pallu and border. Sumona’s Festive/Winter collection used the Baluchari weave to create modern and striking contemporary silhouettes in the form of western floor lengths to traditional lehengas.
The collection is crafted with elegance and grandeur in Japanese kirigamitechnique, zardozi embroidery and Aariworkto enhance the look of Baluchari in an elegant and subtle way; making them flexible for every woman’s wardrobe. Meanwhile, the colour palette used in the form of classic cream, red, magenta, gold to edgy black, makes the ensembles perfect for the winter season.
