Locations Exhibition Conference & Awards- A pioneering concept created by Sudhanshu Hukku

       Locations Exhibition Conference & Awards was held at The Orchids Hotel, Santacruz East in Mumbai. Spread over from 30th, September (Friday) - 1st September, 2016 (Saturday it's is an annual platform based on the concept "Films are Catalysts to Tourism". In 2007 BBC declared it as the “World’s First Film Tourism Event”
       The awards night saw the presence from the film fraternity including Ratan Jain, Vijay Galani, Rajat Rawail, Ashish Singh, Aneel Murarka, Prashant Virendra Sharma, Smita Gondkar, DJ Sheizwood, Dolly Minhas, Salim Arif, Anil Nagrath, Shweta Khanduri, Milind Ukey etc were present. 

         Locations Exhibition Conference brings  the Indian Film Fraternity under one roof to interact with various aspects of International Locations and Production possibilities (Suppliers). Which include Filming Subsidies, Tax Rebates & Other Concessions, to Shoot a Film on their Shores. Involving respective Tourism boards, Film commissions, Local line production companies, airlines, railways, resorts and travel  service providers. Locations has seen the presence of more than Fifty Countries and  Indian states too. 
Location Awards is an extension of the Film Tourism Concept, Celebrated as the Locations Awards which is  a tribute to the Two industries- i.e the Indian Films & the Global Tourism / Film Commissions and Allied organisations,  An Interaction between the two, to promote various International Destinations through Indian Films.   
Locations Award Categories/ winners are- 

1) Maximum Mileage to a Foreign Destination in Indian Film-
Film : FEVER- Producers : - Ravi Agrawal, Mahesh Balekundri, Ajay Chabbria and Rajath Manjunath; Director -                                               Rajeev Jhaveri  

2) Best Action Sequences in an Indian Film Shot on Foreign Shores-
                   Film: DISHOOM; Producers- Sajid Nadiadwala / Sunil A Lulla; Director- Rohit Dhawan.

3) NEW Entrant to Promoting Destinations through Indian Film-  

4)  Best Production Value in an Indian Film Shot on Foreign Shores-
                   FILMS: FAN & SULTAN; Producer: YRF : Represented by Aashish Singh; Director:   FILM: FAN                                     - Maneesh Sharma; Director:   FILM: SULTAN- Ali Abbas Zafar.

5) Aesthetic Exposure to Foreign Destinations by an Indian Producer-
                      FILM: Sanam Re; Producers: - Bhushan Kumar / Ajay Kapoor ; Director: Divya Khosla Kumar.

6) Best Song Picturisation of a Foreign Destination-
                    FILM: DILWALE; Producers: - Gauri Khan, Director Rohit Shetty.

Locations have seen the presence of the destination promoters from more than Fifty Countries and some Indian states too. These include Austria, Australia, Czech Republic, France, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Malaysia, Mauritius, Romania, Russia, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, UK and the Indian states of Chhattisgarh, UP, Gujrat, Mizoram & Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

ABOUT SUDHANSHU HUKKU:-

 "Locations" a pioneering concept was created by Sudhanshu Hukku. A filmmaker–turned-event designer, along with several other firsts to his credit:  
*Race for Pace- where over 6000 bowlers participated for a pace bowling competition and speed guns were used to read them for the first time,
*Neon City Blues - a Remo and Alisha Chinai concert on a new year at Bangalore Palace Grounds, where the whole space was lit by branded neons,
Idea - The first All India design competition for amateur designers clothesdesigners
And a FEATURE FILM to his Credit "KAFILA" which included - Paresh Rawal, Juhi Chawla, Deven Bhojani and Amol Gupte  is preserved in elite company at the British Film Archives.

Introduced in 2007, the Awards were Conceptualized to felicitate the synergies of films and tourism. They have received a tremendous response from both the industries
