WALKING DOWN THE MEMORY LANE! Music composer Lalit Pandit shares his experience and memories on the making of the 1992 cult romantic "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar" at Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival.




It has almost been 24 years, since the release of the cult classic "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar" but the nasha of the song "Pehla Nasha" is still fresh. Music Composer, Lalit Pandit'and Jatin pandit's gentle melodies with soulful rhythms had made many listeners’ hearts flutter with delight. To relive the memories of the "Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar", Lalit Pandit along with all the actors who played a pivotal role in the film came together 24 years later under the same roof at Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival.
The reunion saw the presence of Aamir Khan, Mamik Singh, Deepak Tijori, Deven Bhojani, Aditya Lakhia, Kiran Zaveri and Pooja Bedi along with Director Mansoor Khan and choreographer Farah Khan
Onto the enchanting opening of “Pehla Nasha”, the song that is an unforgettable classic. “Chaahe tum kuch na kaho, Maine sun liya, Ke saathi pyar ka, Mujhe chun liya, Chun liya… Maine sun liya…” the rendition of the song is powerful and it articulates the emotion of bliss and unprecedented ecstasy.
Lalit,in a surprise for the audiences sang the song accompanied on piano by his son Rohansh pandit thrilled the audience and regaled the star of jjws. All spoke about the wonderful memories behind the camera and answered questions for the audience.
