Hyderabad-based Althea Krishna who started her label in 2012 comes up with timeless fashion for pret, bridal wear and couture. She grabbed eyeballs on the ramp by showcasing her effervescent collection “Brazaleta”, inspired by the poem “Bangle Sellers” by the Nightingale of India, Smt. Sarojini Naidu. As bangles bring joy in a woman’s life, her designs arean attempt to exemplify the vibrant colours of the bangles on a fabric that can enhance a woman’s feminine beauty. Flared lehengas with off-shoulder blouses and jackets with zardosi hand-embellishments were a big hit with the audience.

Designer Althea Krishna, owner of eponymous label Althea Krishna said, “Even though I have been a part of a few fashion shows like the Mysore Fashion Week, the chance to showcase my creations at the prestigious India Fashion Week London is almost like a dream come true for me. It wouldn’t have been possible without 6Degree. By presenting my collection on this prestigious ramp, I have got the opportunity to connect with global buyers and fashionistas. I feel a lot more confident now to conquer the world with my designs and create a stronger name for my brand in India and across the world.”

Nagpur-based AbhaChoudhary’sopulent collection ‘Suhaag’ represented a rare sense of rich heritage and originality amalgamated with modern silhouettes that the brides of today's generation yearn for.   Her artistic prowess in blending traditional crafts with contemporary fashion andher proficiency in exquisite detailing made each ensemble extraordinarily luxurious.
