मंगली या गाण्यात नृत्य पण करणार आहे. ‘कती तू बंजारा’ हे गाणं प्रसिध्द ‘गीतांजली’ या गोर बंजारा अल्बममधील आहे. ९०च्या दशकात या अल्बमने अक्षरश: धुमाकूळ घातला होता. संगीताला भाषेचं बंधन नसतं, या अल्बममधील गाणी गोरबोली भाषेत होती. या अल्बममधील गाणी एवढी अप्रतिम होती की सर्व समाजातील लोकांनी या अल्बमला भरपूर प्रेम दिलं. गीतांजली म्युझिक अल्बचे गीतकार, संगीत दिग्दर्शक व निर्माते श्री. डॉ. गीतकुमार पवार यांचं स्वप्नं होते की गीतांजली ऑडियो अल्बममधील गाणी रुपेरी पडद्यावर झळकावी. ते स्वप्न पूर्ण करण्याचं काम निर्माते आणि दिग्दर्शक श्री. संजीवकुमार राठोड यांनी आपल्या हाती घेतलं आणि ‘आमदार निवास’ या त्यांच्या आगामी मराठी सिनेमात त्या अल्बममधील ‘कती तू बंजारा’ हे गाणं चित्रित केलं.

                       

मंगलीच्या आई-वडीलांना १२वर्षे कोणतेही अपत्य नव्हते. दवाखाना, वैद्य, नवस, पूजा, मंदिर हे करत करत शेवटी १२ वर्षानंतर त्यांना मंगलीच्या रुपाने मुलगी झाली. या १२ वर्षाच्या तपाची सर्वात मोठी गोष्ट म्हणजे मंगलीच्या आईने १२ वर्षे आपल्या पायात चप्पल घातली नाही. पण एवढ्या तपानंतरही मुला ऐवजी मुलगी झाली याचा राग तिच्या आईला आला व तीन दिवस तिने मंगलीपासून तोंड फिरवले. एकीकडे गरिबी आणि दुसरीकडे मुलगी ही दोन्ही गोष्टींमुळे मंगलीला संघर्ष करावा लागला. पण सुदैवाने, मंगलीला साथ मिळाली आपल्या मधुर आवाजाची आणि आपल्या वडिलांची आणि वारसा म्हणून गोर बंजारा समाजातील सुंदर, सुरेख प्राचीन लोक गीताची. तोच वारसा मंगलीने जपला व संगीत आणि कला क्षेत्रात  आपली कारकिर्द घडविण्याचा निश्चय केला. कलेला गुणवत्ता व परिश्रमाबरोबर शिक्षणाची साथ मिळावी म्हणून मंगलीने कर्नाटक म्युझिकमध्ये एस.व्ही.युनिव्हर्सिटीमध्ये डिप्लोमा केला.

                        

आता मंगलीची गायन आणि अभिनय कला श्री. संजीवकुमार राठोड निर्मित आणि दिग्दर्शित ‘आमदार निवास’ या आगामी मराठी चित्रपटाच्या माध्यमातून मराठी प्रेक्षकांना लवकरच अनुभवयाला मिळणार आहे.
