Vested Finance doubles AUM, second quarter in a row amid lockdown

Witnesses 70% growth in new account openings

 

Vested Finance, an online investment platform that enables Indian investors to invest in the US stock market, saw total investments in the US markets from India grow by 150% in Q2FY21 compared to Q1FY21. The platform registered 70% growth in the number of new accounts opening in India for investing in US equities using Vested Finance’s platform.

 

The company has seen consistent market affinity towards technology stocks like Tesla, Amazon, Facebook, and Google among others. 40% of Vested’s users invest in the US markets because they want to invest in specific companies listed on the US exchanges, 29% are looking at it from a geographic diversification standpoint, and 21% are saving for future USD spending. Over $10 million was invested in the US stock markets in the last quarter via Vested Finance, doubling their AUM for the second quarter in a row.

 

Mr. Viram Shah, CEO, and Co-Founder, Vested Finance said, “Millennials and NRIs have been one of the key segments of investors that joined our platform. They are seeing the value of investing in US stocks and have actively started tracking global equities and have become global investors. In Q2FY21, overall trade volumes on the platform increased 3x compared to the last quarter. The average ticket size is about $400. Owing to fractional investing, people are able to invest smaller amounts as well. ”

 

Although investors like to invest in technology stocks directly, they want guidance on how to build their portfolios. Hence, 20% of customers have contributed to the rising interest in ‘Vests’, pre-built investment portfolios provided by Vested Finance.

 Lizaa Malik donates to cancer patients in nearby areas on the occasion of her birthday

It's Lizaa Malik" birthday today and she would be donating an undisclosed amount to people suffering from cancer in Andheri suburbs. She knows the pain as her mother was suffering and has recovered from this deadly disease. Lizaa has always come forward and stood for the society and helped the people in need. She is now taking it a step ahead on the occasion of her birthday.

We wished a very happy birthday to Lizaa and spoke to her on this lovely initiative and here is what the actor and singer have to say, "my mother went through this disease and she recovered from it. It's deadly, to say the least. It is deadly not only for the patient but the entire family dies a little with it. People with less or no money don't even think to fight this and wait for their final days. Thinking this makes me extremely sad. I am trying to do my bit with whatever resources I have. Let's all come forward in whatever ways we can and help one another. We are together in life."

Lizaa is not just pretty outside but she has a beautiful heart. May she achieve all her dreams and keep inspiring us in more ways than one. We wish her a very happy birthday.

 Sara Gurpal who starred with Ranjha Vikram Singh on recent music video Taveez is in Bigg boss season 14.

Sara Gurpal who was seen in the music video Taveez sung by Yasser Desai alongside Bollywood actor Ranjha Vikram Singh is one of the contestants at Bigg boss house this season. The song Taveez which features Sara Gurpal and Ranjha Vikram has crossed 3.5 million views on youtube and is being loved by all.

They both looked adorable in the music video and it was produced by Running Horses Music label. Sara has made a name for herself in the Punjabi film and television industry. 

We spoke to Ranjha and what his message for Sara would be, "Sara is a very confident person and she has a very jovial persona. I think she is going to nail it this season. I can already see her making it to the very end. She never gives up and she is extremely understanding. We had great camaraderie on set while shooting for Taveez. I wish her all the luck. She is a very good singer. So my advice to all is to be good for my friend."

They looked great on-screen and we will be seeing a lot more of Sara on the mega show. Remember the name.

ROHIT GUPTA “EXCITED” FOR HIS BIG BOLLYWOOD DEBUT: HINTS A BIG BANNER.

Rohit Gupta, popularly known as “Digital King, Next Generation Star” is thrilled about his Bollywood debut. However, the actor refrains from sharing details about the banner and the director says it’s his “BIG” Bollywood debut for a reason.

While Rohit poses all the elements to slip into any character with a lot of ease, he has been conscious and selective about his decisions regarding his debut.

“I have been entertaining people for the longest time now. I understand the business. I have promoted many big films in the past which gave me a lot of exposure. It was then, directors saw my potential as an actor. I have been reading scripts for a few years now but nothing really clicked until now” says Rohit.

He also emphasizes that as much as the banner and the director is important, he underlines the fact that the length and significance of his role in the film are equally important “Length and significance of my role run parallel. I may debut with the biggest banner and the best director but if my role doesn’t contribute to the story, it’s meaningless”

 Hiten Tejwani will be seen in a Suspense Thriller film Shatranj 

Television’s popularity might be unparalleled, but even today, most actors treat it as a stepping stone to films. Not Hiten Tejwani. For him, commitment towards his roles — irrespective of the medium — was always more important than chasing big-screen dreams. Of course, he has featured in a few Bollywood films over the years, but he has never vied for them. Nor did he leave TV for movies. However, as they, patience does bear fruit, eventually.

The talented actor has now bagged the lead role in a movie titled ‘Shatranj’. Directed by Dushyant Pratap Singh, it’s touted to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller. The film is produced by Anand Prakash, Mrinalini Singh, and Fahim Rustam Qureshi of Anand Motion Pictures, Origin Film Lab, and Dushyant Corporation. Talking about it, Hiten says, “We have started the shoot and are hoping for a theatrical release. When Dushyant approached me, he told me that the story was written keeping me in mind. What bigger compliment can an actor receive! Today, there is a role for every actor, irrespective of his/her age. I am glad that we have reached a stage where people are thinking out of the box and exploring realistic concepts. The new-gen filmmakers focus on content, quality, and cast actors who suit the part. To a great extent, that’s also because the audience has evolved,   owing to the exposure to desi and international platforms. You can’t fool them anymore.” Other actors in Shatranj are Kavita Tripathi, Shawar Ali, Ashutosh Kaushik, Hemant Pandey, Pankaj Berry, and Ekta Jain.

The actor says that he never wanted to pursue a career in films at the cost of his work on television. “I have missed out on a lot of films, as I had no time back then, owing to my busy schedule. Besides, I have always wanted to do justice to whatever role I take up. I believe that I have sustained for so long because I didn’t try to sail in two boats at the same time. In my entire career, I have never quite a show. I could never accept the idea of leaving television and returning to it just because I didn’t succeed in films. Whatever I am today is because of television, and I will never forget that” he shares.

Interestingly, it’s not just his busy schedule that’s at fault. Hiten lost out on a lot of opportunities also because B-Town folks assumed that he was busy with television shows. “I have been told by several people that my name would be rejected at the table itself because they would think that I had no time. Of course, there was also the stigma attached to casting television actors because of overexposure,” he says, adding, “I am glad that trend is changing, and we are open to casting actors from all mediums if they suit the character. At the end of the day, an actor should not be slotted on the basis of the medium he is seen on. Having said that, I have no complaints. Back then, I was at the top of my game on television. Today, I am happy to enjoy the best of both worlds. While I am doing a TV show, ‘Gupta Brothers Char Kunware From Ganga Kinare’, I am also shooting for Shatranj Film. Thankfully, we will have a decent bank of episodes for the show. So, it will not be very difficult to juggle both projects.”

Hindustani Bhau has sung and featured in a song called Mumbai Machaand. The teaser of the song is out and it looks smashing. It has been sung by Hindustani bhau and it features Sneha Gupta. The song came as a reply to Manoj Bajpai's song Bambai mein ka ba. He had sung it and featured in it. Hindustani Bhau's" Instagram handle was hacked earlier and he had entertained us all in the Bigg Boss house as he was super sportive in it. He didn't let the obstacle deter him and he didn't give up. In fact, the love of his fans increased due to this. He is coming back super strong with this power-packed song. The song has been produced under the music label Nexus Records and has been produced by Shoaib Dhebar and Hindustani Bhau in association with the Bucketlist Films. It has been directed by Faisal Miyan Photuwale. The lyrics and Rap has been written by Malik Sahab and the music has been done by Prateek Gandhi. The director of photography is Bhanu Pratap Singh. 
We spoke to Bhau and here is what he has to say, "It's not a diss or a take on anyone. Mumbai mein ka ba in Bihari translates to what is there in Mumbai? So I am just showing what is there in Mumbai. How sporting is the people of Mumbai and how welcoming is they. I respect the actor who had done that video but this one is for all the people in India to know Mumbai better. There is no war or fights here. Everyone loves their state as they love their country. So that's how I see it. If people want to call it banter, it's fair but definitely nothing more than that. I am rapping for the first time in my life and also featuring in a song. So I would need all the love and wishes of everyone."
