दुर्मिळ हृदयग्रस्त ४० वर्षीय रुग्णाचे हृदय प्रत्यारोपण यशस्वी २ वर्षांच्या प्रतीक्षेनंतर प्राप्त झाले नवे हृदय 

नवी मुंबईतील अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स हे मुंबई महानगर क्षेत्रातील सर्वात प्रगत बहु-वैशिष्ट्ये असलेले चतुरस्त्र वैद्यकीय सेवा प्रदान करणारे रुग्णालय असून त्यांनी आठवी यशस्वी हृदय प्रत्यारोपणाची शस्त्रक्रिया पार पाडल्याची घोषणा केली आहे. हे हृदय प्रत्यारोपण म्हणजे ४० वर्षीय रुग्णाची जिद्द आणि जीवनाचा प्रेरणादायी प्रवासाचा जणू दाखलाच आहे, हा रुग्ण 'ऍमिलॉइडोसिस' नावाच्या दुर्मिळ आणि जीवघेण्या आजाराशी झुंजत होता, त्याने अडचणींविरुद्ध लढा देऊन प्रेरणादायी विजय प्राप्त केला. कुशल टीमच्या मदतीने जागतिक स्तराची आरोग्य सेवा देण्याबाबत अपोलोच्या समर्पणाचे हे उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण आहे. अपोलो त्यांच्या आर्थिकदृष्ट्या मागास असलेल्या रुग्णांना ट्रस्ट आणि क्राऊड फंडिंगच्या माध्यमातून आपली प्रगत वैद्यकीय सुविधा गरजू रुग्णांपर्यंत पोहोचवते.

रुग्ण अपोलोमध्ये महाराष्ट्रातील बुलढाणा जिह्यातून आला होता, त्याला छातीत तीव्र वेदना होत होत्या, तसेच वारंवर श्वास घेण्यास त्रास आणि थकवा जाणवत होता. विस्तृत तपासणी केल्यानंतर रुग्णाला ऍमिलॉइडोसिसमुळे अपरिवर्तनीयरित्या हृदय निकामी झाल्याचे दिसून आले. ऍमिलॉइडोसिसमध्ये असामान्य, फायबरच्या स्वरुपात प्रथिने विकसित होतात, हे संपूर्ण शरीरातील ऊतींमध्ये आणि अवयवांमध्ये जमा होतात, ज्यामुळे अवयवांचे सामान्य कार्य बिघडते. या रुग्णाच्या बाबतीत ऍमिलॉइडोसिसमुळे त्याच्या हृदयावर परिणाम झाला होता, ज्यामुळे ऍमिलॉइड कार्डिओमायोपॅथी (हृदयाच्या स्नायूंचा बिघाड) आणि हृदय निकामी झाले होते. जिवीत राहण्यासाठी हृदय प्रत्यारोपण हा एकमेव पर्याय असल्याने हृदयाचे कार्य गंभीरपणे बिघडले होते.

 ४ एप्रिल २०२३ रोजी दक्षिण मुंबईच्या रुग्णालयात ब्रेन-डेड झालेल्या व्यक्तीची माहिती अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्सला मिळाली. अपोलोच्या तज्ञ हृदय प्रत्यारोपण पथकाने त्वरित हृदय पुनर्प्राप्त (रिट्राइव्ह्ड) केले आणि मुंबई आणि नवी मुंबईतील वाहतुक नियंत्रण पोलिसांच्या सहाय्याने दात्याचे हृदय ग्रीन कॉरिडॉरद्वारे ४० किमी चे अंतर अवघ्या ४६ मिनिटांत पार करुन अपोलोमध्ये आणण्यात आले. हृदय प्रत्यारोपणाची शस्त्रक्रिया कोणत्याही गंभीर समस्येशिवाय यशस्वीपणे पार पडली. ट्रस्ट फंडिंगद्वारे रुग्णाला शस्त्रक्रिया आणि उपचारासाठी आर्थिक मदत देण्यात आली.

डॉ. संजीव जाधव, सीव्हीटीएस,सल्लागार- हृदय आणि फुफ्फुस प्रत्यारोपण शस्त्रक्रिया, अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स, नवी मुंबईचे म्हणाले की,"रुग्णाच्या प्रकृतीची तीव्रता लक्षात घेऊन आम्ही लगेच लक्षणात्मक व्यवस्थापन सुरु केले आणि समुपदेशन केल्यानंतर रुग्णाला प्रत्यारोपण प्रतीक्षा यादीत ठेवले. रुग्णाची जिद्द आणि त्याच्या कुटुंबाकडून मिळालेल्या अतुलनीय पाठिंब्यामुळे त्याला दोन वर्षे हृदय-दात्याची प्रतीक्षा करत असताना या आजाराचे व्यवस्थापन करण्यास मदत झाली. हे प्रकरण म्हणजे वैद्यकीय शास्त्राच्या सामर्थ्याचे व अवयवदानाचे महत्व पटवून देण्यासाठी उत्तम उदाहरण आहे.

"दात्याचे हृदय पुनर्प्राप्त करण्यापासून प्राप्तकर्त्यामध्ये हृदयाचे यशस्वी रोपण करण्यापर्यंत अपोलो प्रत्यारोपण टीमने एकमेकांच्या सहाय्याने ताळमेळ ठेवून काम केले, हृदय सुरक्षितपणे आणण्यात आले, काळजीपूर्वक जतन करण्यात आले आणि कौशल्याने प्रत्यारोपण केले गेले आणि हे सगळं एका विशिष्ट कालावधीत घडलं. चार तासांहून अधिक कालावधीची हृदय प्रत्यारोपण शस्त्रक्रिया म्हणजे आमच्या टीमच्या अचूकपणाचा आणि कौशल्याचा हा पुरावाच आहे. हे हृदय प्रत्यारोपण म्हणजे नवी मुंबईतील अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स येथील अवयव प्रत्यारोपणाचे यश आणि प्राविण्याचे एक उदाहरण आहे."असे मत डॉ.जाधव यांनी व्यक्त केले,"रुग्ण आता हृदय प्रत्यारोपण आयसीयू मध्ये रोगमुक्त होण्याच्या अवस्थेत आहे, तसेच त्याच्यात दररोज उल्लेखनीय प्रगती दिसून येत आहे.

रुग्णाने पुढीलप्रमाणे आपली कृतज्ञता व्यक्त केली,"मला आयुष्य जगण्याची दुसरी संधी दिल्याबद्दल मी अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्सच्या संपूर्ण टीमचा आभारी आहे. २०२१ मध्ये प्रत्यारोपण प्रतीक्षा यादीत स्थान मिळाल्यापासून एप्रिल 2023 मध्ये नवीन हृदय प्राप्त करेपर्यंत अपोलोचे सतत वैद्यकीय आणि आर्थिक पाठबळ मिळाले तसेच माझ्या आरोग्याची त्यांनी काळजी घेल्यामुळे मला दोन वर्षे बळ मिळाले. मी पुन्हा जगायला सुरुवात केली आहे आणि आयुष्याची ही अनमोल भेट मी जपून ठेवणार आहे आणि दररोज याविषयी आभार व्यक्त करणार आहे."

એવું માનિામા ં આિે છે. તાજેતરમા ં મને પરફોમાન્સ માટે હૃષીકેશમા ં જિાની તક મળી

હતી, જયા ં હું ગ ંગાના સૌંદયાથી મંત્રમ ુગ્ધ રહી ગઈ હતી. આ સપન ું સાકાર થિા જેવું હત ું,

કારણ કે પહ ેલી િાર મેં ગ ંગા આરતી, દીિડાઓ પ્રગટાિિાની અને પવિત્ર નદીને તે

ધરાિિામા ં આિતા ં જોય ુંય હકરદ્વાર અને હૃષીક ેશ જેિા ં પવિત્ર શહ ેરોમા ં શ કૂટિંગે મને બહુ

ખ ુશી આપી. ઘણા બધા સ્થાવનકોએ આ તહ ેિાર ધામધ ૂમથી કઈ રીતે મનાિિામા ં આિે છે

તે વિશેિાતાાઓ કહી. એક કદિસ હું ફરીથી આ સ્થળે જિા માગ ું છ ં, જે સમયેઆ સ્િબણિમ

તહ ેિારમા ં સ ંપ ૂણા ગળાડૂબ થિાની છ ં અનેઉજિણીની અસલ ખ ૂબીઓનો અન ુભિ કરિાની

ભાભીજી ઘર પર હૈની ત્રવદદશા શ્રીવાસ્તવ ઉર્ફે અત્રનતા ભાભી કહ ે છે, “ભક્તો ઉત્તમ ભાગ્ય

માટે પવિત્ર ગ ંગા નદી પાસેથી આશીિાાદ ચાહ ે છે. મારા બાળપણમા ં હું ગ ંગાના પવિત્ર

ઘાટ નજીક મજેથી રમતી અને તહ ેિાર દરવમયાન િહ ેતા પાણીમા ં અસ ંખ્ય દીિડાઓનો

મંત્રમ ુગ્ધ કરનારો નજારો જોતી. આ સ ુંદર કરિાજ શા ંવત અને સારપ પામિાન ું પ્રવતક છે.

કરે છે. ફૂલો, અત્તર, દીિડાઓ, તમાકુનાં પાન કે ફળોના દસ પ્રકાર ધરાિતા ં તે દસ

સ ંખ્યાના મહ ત્ ત્િ પર ભાર આપે છે. ગ ંગામા ં ડૂબકી લગાિિાની બાબતમા ં દસ પવિત્ર

ડૂબકીઓ લગાિિાનો કરિાજ છે. અમારા પકરિારમા ં આ પાિન કદિસે મ ૂલ્યિાન િસ્તઓુ ,

નવું િાહન ખરીદી કરિી અથિા નિા ઘરમા ં પ્રિેશ કરિાની પરં પરા રહી છે. હું આ િષે

        मालिकेत आता एन्ट्री झाली आहे शर्मिष्ठा वर्धे यांची. शर्मिष्ठा वर्धे यांच्या भूमिकेत अभिनेत्री नीना कुळकर्णी पाहायला मिळताहेत . निरनिराळ्या मालिकांतून आपल्या भेटीस येणार्‍या अभिनेत्री नीना कुळकर्णी आता वकिलाच्या भूमिकेत दिसणार आहेत. शर्मिष्ठा वर्धे असं त्यांच्या व्यक्तिरेखेचं नाव असून त्यांच्या येण्याने दिशा आणि शंतनू यांच्या नात्यात काय अडचणी येणार, हे आता पाहण्यासारखं असेल. कारण शर्मिष्ठा वर्धे या शंतनूच्या आई आहेत. मालिकेत सुरुवातीपासून शंतनूची आई म्हणजे शर्मिष्ठा वर्दे यांचा उल्लेख आला आहे. शंतनूने वकिलीचा अभ्यासही आपल्या आईकडून प्रेरणा घेऊनच केला आहे. त्यांच्या येण्याने मालिकेत आता काय वेगळी वळणं येणार हे पाहण्याजोगं असेल.

गंगा नदी अत्‍यंत पवित्र आहे, प्रत्‍येक भारतीयाच्‍या मनात गंगा नदीला मोठे स्‍थान आहे. भक्‍त समृद्धतेसाठी या पवित्र नदीचा आशीर्वाद घेतात. गंगा दसऱ्यादरम्‍यान गंगा नदीच्‍या काठावर अनेक दिवे प्रज्‍वलित केले जातात, ज्‍यामधून शांतता व परोपकाराचे आवाहन केले जाते. गंगा नदी वाहणाऱ्या विविध राज्‍यांमध्‍ये हा सण उत्‍साहात व जल्‍लोषात साजरा केला जातो. याप्रसंगी एण्‍ड टीव्‍ही कलाकार नेहा जोशी (यशोदा, ‘दूसरी माँ’), योगेश त्रिपाठी (दरोगा हप्‍पू सिंग, ‘हप्‍पू की उलटन पलटन) आणि विदिशा श्रीवास्‍तव (अनिता भाभी, ‘भाबीजी घर पर है’) या सणाचे महत्त्व आणि संबंधित प्रथांबाबत सांगत आहेत. एण्‍ड टीव्‍हीवरील मालिका ‘दूसरी माँ’मध्‍ये यशोदाची भूमिका साकारणाऱ्या नेहा जोशी म्‍हणाल्‍या, ‘‘गंगावतरण म्‍हणून संबोधला जाणारा गंगा दसरा सण स्‍वर्गातून पृथ्‍वीवर आलेल्‍या पवित्र गंगा नदीच्‍या दिव्‍य उगमाच्‍या स्‍मरणार्थ प्रतीक आहे. हा सण उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार, पश्चिम बंगाल व उत्तराखंड अशा राज्‍यांमध्‍ये मोठ्या प्रमाणात साजरा केला जातो. भक्‍त गंगा नदीच्‍या काठी एकत्र येऊन पवित्र विधीमध्‍ये सामील होतात आणि पवित्र नदीची आरती करतात. या शुभदिनी गंगा नदीमध्‍ये स्‍नान केल्‍याने आत्‍मा शुद्ध होते आणि शारीरिक आजारांचे निर्मूलन होते असे मानले जाते. नुकतेच, मी एका परफॉर्मन्‍ससाठी ऋषिकेशला गेले होते, जेथे गंगा नदीच्‍या मनमोहक सौंदर्याने माझे लक्ष वेधून घेतले. स्‍वप्‍न पूर्ण झाल्‍यासारखे वाटले. मी पहिल्‍यांदाच अद्भुत गंगा आरती, प्रज्‍वलित करण्‍यात आलेला दिवा आणि तो दिवसा पवित्र नदीला अर्पण करण्‍याच्‍या क्षणाचा अनुभव घेतला. हरिद्वार व ऋषिकेश अशा पवित्र शहरांमध्‍ये शूटिंग करताना मला खूप आनंद मिळाला. अनेक स्थानिकांनी हा उत्सव ज्या भव्यतेने तेथे साजरा केला जातो त्याच्या कथा सांगितल्या. पुन्‍हा एकदा या ठिकाणांना याच कालावधीदरम्‍यान भेट देण्‍याची, उत्‍साहवर्धक उत्‍सवाचा आनंद घेण्‍याची आणि सेलिब्रेशनच्‍या खऱ्या साराला अनुभवण्‍याची माझी इच्‍छा आहे.’’

During Ganga Dussehra, multitudes of radiant lamps adorn the coursing waters, invoking serenity and benevolence. With unwavering enthusiasm and zeal, this festival is joyously celebrated across various states where the Ganges flows. On this occasion, &TV artists Neha Joshi (Yashoda, Doosri Maa), Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) talk about the significance and rituals associated with the festival. Neha Joshi, essaying Yashoda in &TV’s show Doosri Maa, shares, “Ganga Dussehra, also referred to as Gangavataran, signifies the commemoration of the divine descent of the holy Ganges from heaven to earth. This festival is predominantly observed in states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and Uttarakhand. Devotees gather at the banks of the Ganges, engaging in sacred rituals and offering aartis to the revered river. Immersing oneself in its waters on this auspicious day is believed to purify the soul and alleviate physical ailments. Recently, I had the opportunity to travel to Hrishikesh for a performance, where I was captivated by the enchanting beauty of the Ganges. It was a dream fulfilled as I witnessed the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti for the first time, lighting a lamp and offering it to the divine river. Shooting in holy cities like Haridwar and Rishikesh brought immense joy. Numerous locals shared tales of the grandeur with which this festival is celebrated there. Someday, I aspire to revisit these places during that time, immersing myself in the vibrant festivities and experiencing the true essence of the celebration.”

Yogesh Tripathi, aka Daroga Happu Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Ganga Dussehra marks the celebration of the ten sacred Vedic attributes that symbolize the Ganges' ability to cleanse ten transgressions associated with thoughts, words, and deeds. As my mother always emphasized, devotees seek solace while pursuing liberation. Being from Uttar Pradesh, I deeply understand the profound significance of the Ganges in human existence and spiritual awareness. Originating from the snow-covered peaks of Gangotri in the majestic Himalayas, the river flows graciously, journeying through the scorching plains of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar until it merges with the Bay of Bengal. The confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati in Allahabad, known as Prayag, stands as a sacred sanctuary of unparalleled reverence. Witnessing the splendid Aarti ceremony at the riverbanks, with illuminated leaf boats adorned with flames and flowers, is an ethereal experience during the twilight hours. It is truly a blissful encounter that resonates with the eternal beauty of this sacred river.”Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Devotees seek blessings from the sacred Ganga River for good fortune. During my childhood, I joyfully played near the serene ghats of the Ganges and witnessed the enchanting sight of countless lamps adorning its flowing waters during the festival. This beautiful ritual symbolizes the pursuit of peace and goodness. During this time of the year, people from across the world gather in Varanasi to partake in the purifying act of bathing in the holy river. Additionally, my mother faithfully adhered to the tradition of offering tenfold. Whether it was presenting ten varieties of flowers, fragrances, lamps, oblations, betel leaves, or fruits, she emphasized the significance of the number ten. While immersing oneself in the Ganges, it was customary to take ten sacred dips. In our family, this auspicious day has held great importance for acquiring valuable possessions, purchasing new vehicles, or entering a new home. I yearn to be present in the city this year, longing to relive these cherished experiences again.”

Sitaraman-fame actress papped sporting a t-shirt with the ‘Missing Chapter on Periods’ printed on it in red explaining the biology behind periods. This is an effort by Whisper and Mrunal in making menstruation education available to all for Menstrual Hygiene Day this year

To make menstruation a normal fact of life by 2030 is the theme for Menstrual Hygiene Day this year. This year, Whisper, the sanitary pads brand, has joined hands with actress Mrunal Thakur to help India’s young girls and women normalize their periods and learn about menstrual health and hygiene.

The actress, known for films like Sitaraman, Super 30, and Batla House, was papped outside a shoot location sporting a t-shirt with the ‘Missing Chapter’ on Periods printed on it in red that explained the biology behind periods. While posing for photographers, she spoke about the relevance of Menstrual Hygiene Day observed globally on May 28th, and highlighted the issues that women face. These include lack of access to hygienic menstrual products, proper sanitation and disposal facilities, and the correct knowledge about the science behind periods.

“I’ve been associated with Whisper as a consumer for years now and I really laud the brand on the incredible job it is doing with its #KeepGirlsInSchool campaign. I’m very happy to do my bit to take forward this cause. It is time for India’s mothers and girls to have open conversations about periods and create a world where menstruation is not seen as a barrier to girls’ education and well-being, but rather as a biological process. On Menstrual Hygiene Day, I urge all mothers to read Whisper’s ‘Missing Chapter’ and spread the good word to their daughters,” said actress Mrunal Thakur.

  

In India, a study found that 70% of mothers lack the basic knowledge about periods, which in turn, creates a significant gap in the education and information they pass on to their daughters. One out of five girls in India is forced to drop out of school because they do not have basic period education and access to sanitary products.

Recently, Whisper launched a film titled ‘The Missing Chapter’ to educate mothers, a girl’s first teacher, about the biology of periods as part of the fourth edition of its #KeepGirlsInSchool (KGIS) movement. This campaign aims to openly discuss and describe the often undiscussed ‘how’s and ‘why’s’ of periods. Whisper’s goal is to help mothers break the cycle of misinformation and raise informed daughters who can perfectly manage their periods and not have to miss school during that time of the month.

Whisper India’s mission is to provide the right period education and products to girls and women in India, enabling them to maintain their menstrual health and hygiene. The brand has already helped keep over 10 crore girls in school by providing period education and free pads.

Whisper’s latest campaign emphasizes on the fact that ‘Maa Padhegi toh Beti Badhegi’ (When a mother learns, her daughter progresses).
