 Global Sports welcomes Karan Johar as brand ambassador in partnership with Shashank Khaitan, unveiling the Pickleball revolution in India.

Global Sports, the pioneering force behind the burgeoning Pickleball wave in India, is thrilled to announce a landmark press conference featuring the renowned filmmaker and cultural icon, Karan Johar, as their Global Sports Partnership Ambassador. Over the last 3 to 4 years, Pickleball’s popularity has surged, particularly in India, where in Mumbai alone, the number of Pickleball courts has soared from a mere 15 to an impressive 250 in just the last year. What sets it apart is its unique ability to foster a sense of community, attracting men, women, and individuals of all ages. The sport has gained immense popularity among those aged 35-plus and 50-plus, with amateur tournaments witnessing enthusiastic participation from hundreds of players.

Global Sports, founded by Hemal Jain, Divyesh Jain, Suresh Bhansali, and Niraj Jain, has been at the forefront of promoting Pickleball in India for the past two years. The addition of Shashank Khaitan and Meghashrey Founder, Seema Singh, as a partner in 2023 marked a significant turning point, leading to increased promotion and investment in the Pickleball ecosystem. He says, “The goal has always been to ensure the inclusion of Pickleball in the Olympics while also making this a household sport in India.” 

Yudi Ruia's partnership further strengthened the team, bringing international exposure and corporate connections to the table.

Karan Johar, a stalwart in India's pop culture movement since his directorial debut in 1998, has been a trendsetter in the realms of films, fashion, and entertainment. Taking on the responsibility as a brand ambassador, he says, “Its truly heartening to work with visionaries that look at making the sport a household name. I hope for its meteoric rise and its final inclusion in the Olympics at some stage.” 

By joining forces with Karan Johar, Global Sports aims to extend the joy of Pickleball – a sport that embodies fun, fitness, and family values – across India and the Middle East. The hope is that, with Karan Johar wielding a Pickleball paddle, more Indians will be inspired to embrace the game, experience its addictive charm, and enjoy the profound fitness benefits it offers. The tournament, Indian Open 2024 is all set to take place at NSCI dome, starting February 7th to February 11th.

 Actor Navneet Mailik who primarily hails from Haryana is going to play a Gujarati character in his upcoming show. As an actor one has to completely shed their skin and get into the skin of their character. And so is Navneet’s endeavor. The actor is learning Gujarati dialect to enhance his performance and get in the character for his show Aankh Micholi. While talking exclusively to us, the Freelancer actor shares, “As an actor it is imperative to make yourself believe that you are the character. For my character of (name) I wanted to speak in a particular dialect, because the character has a certain accent and dialect. It is very important to understand that playing a character is not just mugging lines and delivering. I have started tutoring and learning the dialect, as it it important, that is only when I would be able to deliver my best. And it is safe to say that I have mastered the dialect.” The actor has been taking training sessions under a Gujarati cultural consultant for over (share months or weeks). “I have been doing workshops, taking training lessons. It has been quite fun, I wouldn’t lie. Now I do understand the culture of Gujarat where the show is set. Also, this workshop did help me bring the cultural accuracy to play an emotional Gujarati boy,” he adds.

The actor who has been a part of a few films such as Heropanti 2, also believes that actors often have biases towards mediums and platforms. “I did hear from a few actors’ friends of mine saying that, ‘Why are you training for a show? People do it when they are working for a film’. But I am very clear that for me work is work, a project is a project. I will work hard for a TV show, for a movie and even for an advertisement. My passion for my work does not discriminate between mediums.” In The Freelancer, Navneet  played the role of Mohsin Fazal opposite Kashmira Pardeshi aka Aliya Khan. The two-part action thriller series centered on Aliya's quest for escape amid challenging conditions, featuring stellar performances by Mohit Raina, Kashmira Pardeshi, and Anupam Kher. Navneet Malik’s upcoming starrer Aankh Micholi, revolves around Rukhmini, an undercover cop caught in the conflict between her dream of becoming an IPS officer and her family's insistence on her settling down.

वर्सोवा विधानसभेच्या भाजप आमदार डॉ.भारती लव्हेकर यांनी श्रीराम मंदिराच्या भव्य प्रतिकृती दर्शन सोहळा अयोध्या बघण्यासाठी भाविकांनी तुफान गर्दी केली होती.देशाचे लोकप्रिय पंतप्रधान, आदरणीय श्री नरेंद्रजी मोदी आणि संत महंतांच्या उपस्थितीत अयोध्येतील मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम प्रभू श्री राम यांच्या जन्मस्थानी प्रभू श्री रामांच्या प्राणप्रतिष्ठापनेचा नेत्रदीपक सोहळा वर्सोवा, एस व्ही रोड, जोगेश्वरी पश्चिम येथील दिल्ली दरबार हॉटेल समोरील मैदानात प्रभू श्रीराम जन्मभूमी प्राणप्रतिष्ठा कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन केले होते वर्सोव्यात प्रति आयोध्याची प्रतिकृती उभारली होती. तसेच  सुंदर पाठ आणि श्री राम नामाचे पठण,अयोध्येतील प्राण प्रतिष्ठापना या कार्यक्रमाचे थेट प्रक्षेपण,श्री.सत्यनारायण महापूजा आणि होम हवन,भाविकांसाठी महाभांडारा व भजनचा कार्यक्रम आयोजित करण्यात आला होता या सगळ्या कार्यक्रमाचा भाविकांनी सकाळ पासूनच लाभ घेतला.वर्सोव्यातील विविध जाती धर्माच्या नागरिकांनी येथे गर्दी केली होती.व सुमारे २० हजार भाविकांनी महाभंडाराचा लाभ घेतला.

यावेळी आमदार डॉ. भारती लव्हेकर म्हणाल्या की, ज्या राम भक्तांना हा सोहळा अनुभवायचा आहे,मात्र तिथपर्यंत पोहचता येणार नाही,अशा वर्सोवाकरांसाठी आम्ही येथे अयोध्येच्या राम मंदिराची भव्य प्रतिकृती साकारली आणि प्रभू श्रीराम जन्मभूमी प्राणप्रतिष्ठा कार्यक्रमाचे थेट प्रक्षेपण येथील राम भक्तांना दाखवले.तर सकाळी अंध भजन मंडळीने सुमारे दीड तास  भजन साकारून श्रीरामाचा येथे जयघोष केला
