Mumbai, 16th November, 2025: Mumbai transformed into the epicentre of India's most spectacular celebration of active ageing as Khyaal's 50Above50 Mega Event concluded on November 16, 2025. This landmark two-day celebration has redefined how India celebrates and empowers its senior community. The iconic event was inaugurated by National Award-winning actor and Khyaal 50Above50 Brand Ambassador Rohini Hattangadi, alongside distinguished guests including Rakesh Bedi, Mangesh Gawade, Yasmin Sait, and Mansur Dalal, setting an inspiring tone for the festivities that followed. The event drew over 5,500 seniors and their families, with enthusiastic participation across all age groups as families travelled from across India to witness and be part of this landmark celebration.

The weekend transformed NESCO into a vibrant hub of talent, energy, and celebration, showcasing the remarkable spirit of India's 50+ community through entertainment, education, and engagement. It featured an exceptional lineup spanning diverse art forms—from the soulful Indian classical music by Krishna Bongane to the energetic performance by RD Warriors Dance Group. Legendary tabla maestro Ustad Taufiq Qureshi also mesmerised the audience with a soul-stirring performance. World Whistling Champion and trained vocalist Nikhil Rane, and renowned music director and guitarist Girija Marathe (great-granddaughter of the legendary Dada Saheb Phalke) showcased their artistry. The Folkswagon Band brought folk music to life, while stand-up comedy by Atul Khatri kept audiences in stitches.

Beyond entertainment, the event featured thought-provoking sessions addressing every dimension of retirement planning. Anil Kumar Chopra from Ready to Retire (Incubated by Bajaj Capital) sparked conversations about reimagining life's next chapter with purpose and financial confidence, while Rahul Jain from Tulips Hygiene empowered attendees through "Life par Full Control," focusing on health and dignity in later years. The celebration also showcased Udbhav Gupta from Axis Max Life Insurance Ltd. presenting "The Grand Transition: Designing Your Next Great Chapter," Ranjan Pal's "Life After 50: Finding Your True North" on discovering personal direction, Abhinav Daga from AasaanWill's "Introduction on Will Creation" addressing legacy preparation, and Sandeep Singhi from HDFC Mutual Fund's Future Ready program guiding participants through financial preparedness with "Future Ready: A Guide for Retirees & Soon-to-Retire."

The celebration featured hands-on creative stations, including caricature drawing, tattoos, mehendi, pottery making, and bangle making, while an indoor sports arena fostered healthy competition among participants. Technology took center stage with a VR experience zone, and the Golden Tambola with gold prizes drew enthusiastic participation across both days. The brand expo showcased products and services designed to enhance senior lifestyle and independence, while lucky draw prizes throughout the event added extra excitement to the two-day celebration.

'कैरी' या चित्रपटात सायली संजीव, सुबोध भावे, सिद्धार्थ जाधव, शशांक केतकर, अरुण नलावडे, सुलभा आर्या हे कलाकार मुख्य भूमिकेत असल्याचे दिसतंय. दिग्दर्शक शंतनू रोडे पॉवरपॅक्ड  कलाकारांना ‘कैरी’ या चित्रपटातून प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीस घेऊन आले आहेत. इतकंच नाहीतर या चित्रपटात सायली संजीव आणि सिद्धार्थ जाधव पहिल्यांदाच एकत्र स्क्रीन शेअर करताना दिसणार आहेत.

‘कैरी' या चित्रपटाची निर्मिती ‘९१ फिल्म स्टुडिओज’ अंतर्गत झाली आहे. या स्टुडिओने बऱ्याच भाषांमध्ये चित्रपटांची निर्मिती केली आहे. त्यात ‘लोच्या झाला रे’ आणि ‘शेर शिवराज’ या दोन ब्लॉकबस्टर व्यावसायिक अशा मराठी चित्रपटांचा समावेश आहे. तर ‘कैरी’ हा त्यांचा तिसरा सिनेमा आहे. शिवाय ‘कैरी’ हा सिनेमा इन असोसिएशन विथ ‘अमेय विनोद खोपकर एंटरटेंमेंट’चा आहे.  तर ‘कैरी’ चित्रपटाची निर्मिती नवीन चंद्रा, नंदिता राव कर्नाड, स्वाती खोपकर, निनाद नंदकुमार बत्तीन यांनी केली आहे. तसेच तबरेझ पटेल हे या चित्रपटाचे सहनिर्माते आहेत. 'कैरी'चे लेखन स्वरा मोकाशी यांनी केले आहे. तर चित्रपटाचे छायांकन प्रदीप खानविलकर यांचे आहे. आणि चित्रपटाच्या संकलनाची जबाबदारी मनीष शिर्के यांनी सांभाळली आहे. तसेच,  चित्रपटाला संगीत दिलंय ‘निषाद गोलांबरे’ आणि ‘पंकज पडघन’ यांनी; तर पार्श्वसंगीत दिलंय ‘साई पियूष’ यांनी.

Mumbai, November 13: Steel scrap is emerging as the key input for green steel, speakers at the 12th Indian Steel Markets Conference said.

"Steel is one of the few materials that can be recycled infinitely without losing its strength or quality. That makes it not only the backbone of industrial growth, but also of sustainability. India today consumes around 42 million tonnes of scrap annually, and this figure is rising by over 6% year-on-year. Nearly 9 million tonnes of scrap is imported into the country every year," Vinaya Varma, Managing Director, mjunction services limited said at the opening session of the two-day 12th Indian Steel Markets Conference organised by mjunction services limited kicked off here today. 

In line with global concern of decarbonising the steel sector, theme of the conference this year is the “Indian Steel Value Chain – Recycle. Reshape. Innovate. Sustain.”

"Sustainability is no longer optional but strategic," said, Syed Jawed Ahmed, Executive Director, SAIL detailing how the public sector company is embracing sustainability and creating capabilities to meet evolving green steel norms.

Sourcing scrap remains a key concern for India as demand for steel continues to rise.

"While government capex is driving 60% of steel usage, India's young and growing population is also generating demand," Girishkumar Kadam, Senior Vice President & Group Head, Corporate Sector Ratings, ICRA, said.

As steel demand and production rises, the sector is facing raw material sourcing challenges.

Import of coking coal is going to be expensive in long run while aggressive bidding for iron ore mines is driving up domestic iron ore costs, according to Sandeep Kumar, Vice President, Raw Materials, Tata Steel.

Beyond decarbonisation, the conference seeks to deliver deep insights into the volatile global and domestic landscape, critical policy shifts, evolving trade dynamics, and the imperative for sustainable practices that are reshaping the industry and driving the dialogue on India’s ambitious steel growth trajectory.

mjunction enabling organised Scrap Procurement: 

For over two decades, mjunction has been a leading player in the organized scrap trade, handling materials from Auto OEMs, EPC sites, P&M units, and various industrial sources. As a pioneer in facilitating sales from Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs), mjunction has also been actively sourcing scrap for organized buyers for the past six years, Mr Varma said.

Over 250+ GST-compliant suppliers have been onboarded across 120+ ocations, strengthening the network’s reach and reliability.  

mjunction has delivered 1.2 million tonnes of scrap over the past three years to major Integrated Steel Plants (ISPs) across 15 states. It has managed logistics for 37,000+ vehicles and 64+ rail rakes, ensuring seamless end-to-end coordination, Mr Varma added.
