Renee Dhyani who plays Beauty in Yeh Teri Galiyaan said, “When I think of Independence Day, I remember my school days where we used to eagerly assemble in the grounds for the flag hoisting ceremony and sing the national anthem with immense pride. As I grew up, I understood the significance of freedom in its true sense and the valuable sacrifices that our freedom fighters have made to liberate our nation.  I would like to wish all my fans a very Happy Independence Day and urge them to contribute in their own small ways towards the betterment of the country.”

Vrushika Mehta who plays Puchki in Yeh Teri Galiyaan said, “I always enjoy watching patriotic films as they teach us a lot about our history and the significance of Independence Day. We are indeed lucky to have freedom of thought, speech and expression and must value and respect it. This time on Independence Day, I want everyone to revel in the spirit of freedom and peace which we have fought so hard to attain.”

Aditi Sharma who plays Meera in Kaleerein said, “Personally, I value the  freedom that we get to make our own choices. We have progressed as a nation but we still need to work as individuals to put an end to several unethical, unjust practices which are still prevalent in our society. Only then will we be called a free nation in its truest sense.  I want to wish everyone a very Happy Independence Day”

Arjit Taneja who plays Vivaan in Kaleerein said, “As good citizens of our country, we must not take the freedom we have earned for granted and learn to respect it. We are believed to be a free nation but there are many factors like corruption, dowry, female feticide, domestic violence etc that are still shrouding our society and not allowing us to be truly free. These issues must be addressed in order for our nation to progress. This Independence Day, let’s all take an oath to stand by each other and brighten up our lives with love and positivity.”

Karan Vohra who plays Shaurya in Zindagi Ki Mehek said, “Independence Day is a day to celebrate Freedom. Every colour in our national flag has its own meaning and relevance to it. Saffron stands for strength and courage, white stands for peace, and green stands for fertility and growth. We all should apply this in our life and make sure nobody tries to affect us in any way. We should all take pride in the country we live in and be protect it till our last breath.”

Adnan Khan who plays Kabir in Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah said’, “I believe that Independence Day is a very important day in Indian history and we must understand the significance of this day and value every bit of it. Though we are free as a nation, there are times where women are still told what to wear and what to do, there is still inequality, female feticide, dowry system and many other such social shackles which we as a nation need to break and rise above, and until that changes, I don’t think we have truly achieved our freedom. Everyone has the right to lead their life the way they want, and we must respect that.
