 BondsIndia's Rebranding as 'DigiFin'

Target of Expanding to 50 Cities in 5 Years

Mumbai, Sep 8 (Representative): BondsIndia, India's leading digital fixed income investment platform, today officially announced its rebranding under the new name 'DigiFin'. This new identity symbolizes the company's evolution from a purely bond-centric marketplace to a comprehensive digital platform for fixed income investments.

DigiFin's vision is to provide a wide suite of digital fixed income products while making investment simpler, more transparent, and accessible for retail investors, banks, and institutions. This rebranding is strongly backed by the 'Ashika Group' and the 'DigiFin Foundation'.

Speaking on the occasion, Ankit Gupta, Founder of DigiFin, said, "When we started as BondsIndia, our objective was to simplify bond investments for retail investors. Over the past few years, we have earned the trust of over 1.75 lakh users. DigiFin represents this larger vision. The next phase of our growth will focus on expanding beyond metro cities, reaching emerging towns, and helping more Indians transform their hard-earned savings into long-term wealth through technology-driven investing."

He further added, "Retail participation in corporate bonds is still at an early stage, with awareness at merely 10%. This untapped market presents a massive opportunity for DigiFin to expand fixed income investing and bring millions of first-time investors into the formal investment ecosystem."

To date, DigiFin has facilitated transactions worth over ₹14,000 crore across 90 bond issues and currently serves more than 1.75 lakh users. Eligible investors can onboard the platform by completing KYC in just 3 minutes. In its next phase of growth, the company aims to establish a presence in over 50 cities over the next 5 years, with a special focus on India's Tier III and Tier IV markets. Additionally, it plans to double its workforce over the next 2 years.

India's investment landscape is currently undergoing a major shift, with over 21.6 crore demat accounts in the country. Although the corporate bond market has grown at an annual rate of 12% over the past decade, less than 1% of Indian households currently invest in it. DigiFin is taking the initiative to bridge this gap.
