A Photograph not only captures an image but also a moment brimming with emotions and memories. From breathtaking landscapes to candid portraits, each photograph tells its own story. On this World Photography Day, &TV artists share personal anecdotes behind some of their most memorable shots. These include Smita Sable (Dhaniya of Bheema), Ashutosh Kulkarni (Krishan Bihari Vajpayee of Atal), Yogesh Tripathi (Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Smita Sable, who plays Dhaniya in Bheema, shares, “The most memorable photo I have ever taken was of a cat feeding her kittens, her eyes radiating love and protection. It was a rainy day, and I found them huddled in a quiet corner, away from the world’s chaos. The way she cared for her little ones, despite her challenges, reminded me of a mother’s strength and unconditional love. Capturing that moment was like preserving a compassionate story of resilience and nurturing - one that speaks volumes without words.” Ashutosh Kulkarni, known as Krishan Bihari Vajpayee in Atal, shares, “Photography has always been both a hobby and a passion for me. After college, I formally studied photography for two years to refine my skills. I am drawn to capturing emotions and moments. Once, during an outdoor shoot, I saw a group of underprivileged children watching the shoot eagerly. I asked the crew’s spot boy to offer them food. The sheer joy on their faces as they received the food was heartwarming. They gathered around, laughing and sharing a simple meal. That moment, their smiles, and their joy, compelled me to capture the moment. That photograph is a memory I will always treasure.”

Yogesh Tripathi, known for his role as Daroga Happu Singh in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, recounts, “The most striking image I have ever taken is of Mumbai’s vibrant streets, with cars moving and rusted buildings standing as silent witnesses to countless stories. It was a monsoon evening, and despite the rain, the city pulsed with energy. The contrast between sleek, modern vehicles and ancient, weathered structures captured Mumbai’s resilient spirit and its rich, layered history. The photo conveys a city that never sleeps, where the past and present coexist in beautiful, chaotic harmony.” Shubhangi Atre, who plays Angoori Bhabhi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “On World Photography Day, I feel nostalgic thinking about the most memorable photos I have taken. As an actor, being in front of the camera is a joy, but capturing moments behind it is a different pleasure. I remember photographing sunrises on treks, the vibrant streets of India, and nature’s serene beauty. But the most memorable photos are those with my loved ones—moments of laughter, tears, and pure joy. Photography has taught me to appreciate everyday beauty and cherish memories forever.”

Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the cherished bond between brothers and sisters, is celebrated with great enthusiasm. &TV actresses share their cherished bonds with brothers and the special celebrations they have planned for this year’s Raksha Bandhan. These include Tejaswini Singh who is playing Bheema in &TV's new show Bheema, Neha Joshi (Krishna Devi Vajpayee, Atal), Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Tejaswini Singh, aka Bheema in &TV's new show Bheema, shares, “My brother means the world to me, and my love for him is boundless. As the older sibling, he sometimes scolds me for my pranks, but he's also my partner-in-crime when we're in the mood for some fun. This year, our Rakhi celebration will be virtual. I am in Mumbai for my show, while he is in Jaipur with our parents. I've already asked my elder sister to bring a Spider-Man Rakhi for him, as he is his favourite superhero, and tie it on my behalf. I have also asked him to send me a gift in return. Let's see what he sends (laughs). At our home in Jaipur, we have a big celebration. All my cousins, uncles, and aunts visit, and my mother cooks puri-sabzi, kheer, and a variety of pakoras, which are my all-time favourites. I will also pray for my brother, as my Dadi (grandmother) always says that the best thing one can do in the world is to pray for the well-being of others.” Neha Joshi aka Krishna Devi Vajpayee in Atal, shares, “Coming from a big Maharashtrian family, this festival has always been a grand affair for us. In my house, the Rakhi party includes a mélange of mouth-watering delicacies, from the yummiest appetizers to delicious desserts made by my mom. I am very excited to be a part of this celebration. I have already chosen my Rakhi and a special gift for my brother. I am sure he will like it. My brother is older than me, and he is protective and caring and tries to boss around (laughs). He has been my constant through thick and thin. Our bond is exceptional, and I also call him my closest friend. No one knows my secrets more than him. We will make the most of our time when we meet! Wishing everyone a very Happy Raksha Bandhan.”

Himani Shivpuri, who plays Katori Amma in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, says, “We celebrate Raksha Bandhan most traditionally. It is always a huge festival in my hometown, Dehradun. We host the festivities in our old house with my extended family. In our home, it is almost like a custom where we meet, tie Rakhi to our brothers, and then binge on our favourite cuisine. And nothing will change this year. Due to my busy shooting schedule, I may not attend the event with my family this year. However, I will send my Rakhi to my brother and will be present on the video call. But that does not mean that my Raksha Bandhan will end there. As soon as I get my next long break, I will visit home and have a good time with my family and, of course, my beloved brother. Gift bhi to lena hai (laughs). But to be honest, my brother is very special to me. He is not just my brother but also a father when I am looking for guidance and a friend when I must share some secret and have an opinion. I am grateful to have a brother like him in my life. I wish my brother Himanshu and all my other brothers a Happy Raksha Bandhan.”

Vidisha Srivastava, known for her role as Anita Bhabi in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I adore my brother, Gaurav. He is one of the most important people in my life, who has always been there. Together, we are a house on fire. We love pranking and troubling each other. We will start the day with the traditional Raksha Bandhan ceremony at home. I will tie a beautiful Rakhi on Gaurav's wrist, symbolizing my love and prayers for his well-being. This tradition, filled with warmth and affection, is the heart of our celebration. Nothing beats the joy of indulging in homemade sweets during festivals. I have planned to prepare some of Gaurav's favourite sweets, like gulab jamun. I have carefully chosen a gift that reflects Gaurav's personality and interests. It's a small token of my gratitude for always being my guiding star. I can't wait to see his reaction! The day will conclude with a grand family dinner."

&TV’s new show Bheema is receiving widespread acclaim for its compelling storyline and talented cast. Neeta Mohindra, who is portraying the formidable antagonist Kailasha Bua, has also been receiving a lot of praises from within the industry and fans. Talking exclusively about her character, Neeta Mohindra shares, “Kailasha Bua is extremely strict and has a commanding presence whose authority within the family is unquestionable. Her son, Kalika Singh, holds her in deep respect, reflecting her values and beliefs. She has a strong faith and is generous, especially to those she favors. Despite her respected and influential status, her commitment to social hierarchy makes her one of the strongest antagonist characters.”

As she continues filming for the show, Neeta Mohindra reflects on her experience of preparing for the role saying, “Preparing for the role of Kailasha Bua involved immersing myself in the mindset of a woman deeply entrenched in societal hierarchies. I dedicated significant time to research on the cultural and social dynamics of that period to fully understand Kailasha Bua's beliefs and her resistance to change. Portraying an antagonist presents a unique challenge, as it requires embodying a character whose actions and values may conflict with modern ideals. Yet, this complexity is what makes the role so compelling. Talking about her co-stars, Neeta adds, “I am enjoying shooting on the set every day. The entire team, including the artists and the crew, is exceptionally supportive. Their dedication motivates me to excel in every scene. Working with such talented people has allowed me to delve deeply into my character, exploring Kailasha Bua’s motivations and the complexities that define her.”
