Malvi Malhotra had been shooting round the clock before the recent lockdown that has been imposed. She has decided to give her another passion sometime during this lockdown at home. She has taken to reading and she just can't keep her hands away from the books. Reading is to the mind what exercising is to the body. So it should be fair to say that the pretty actress is racking up the neurons and working on her intellect. Malvi Malhotra has a heart of gold and she is a strong girl. She has started her work with an NGO and the Mumbai police to help women fight the crimes being done to them and she is creating a lot of awareness in this regard.

Let's hear it from her on what she has to say on her reading expedition, "I am on a marathon reading adventure. The books take me to a different world altogether. I can't keep away from them I even start my day and end my day while reading. I am reading all sorts of things such as fiction, self-help, science, mysteries, biographies. I have a huge collection of books ever since I was a kid. I started with the Cinderella Stories, Enid Blyton, and then moved on to biographies, drama, and modern science. It's a wonderful habit to be constantly reading. It also helps with my profession that is acting. I can memorize dialogues easily and I understand a scene better."

Well, reading indeed is a great habit. Time to take some inspiration from Malvi and read some books.

महात्मा फुलेंच्या जीवनावर आधारित 'सत्यशोधक' चित्रपट लवकरच प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे. शोषित पिडीतांसाठी जोतिरावांनी केलेले कार्य सर्वश्रुत आहे. अंधश्रद्धेच्या अंधकारात खितपत पडलेल्या समाजाला ज्ञानाच्या प्रकाशाकडे नेण्याचे काम जोतिरावांनी केले. आपल्या प्रखर लेखणीच्या व स्वकार्य कर्तृत्वाच्या माध्यमातून जन-माणसात नवीन विचार पेरणाऱ्या जोतीरावानी शोषण कर्त्यांच्या विरोधात बंड पुकारलं. दुष्ट रूढी परंपराच्या गर्ततेत अडकलेल्या समाजाला मानवतेचा आणि सत्याचा मार्ग दाखवून जोतीराव खऱ्या अर्थाने सत्य धर्माचे पथदर्शक ठरले. या अशाच अनिष्ट प्रथांच्या विरोधात सत्याचा शोध घेणारा आणि समानतेच्या वाटेवर चालणाऱ्या 'सत्यशोधक' धर्माची त्यांनी स्थापना केली.

     
अशा क्रांतिकारी महात्मा जोतीरावांचा जीवन प्रवास मोठ्या पडद्यावर हिंदी आणि मराठी चित्रपटाच्या माध्यमातून लोकांसमोर येणार आहे. समता फिल्म्स आणि पी बी इन्फ्रा यांच्या संयुक्त बॅनर अंतर्गत चित्रपट तयार होत आहे. गेल्या 3 वर्षा पासून 'सत्यशोधक' या ऐतिहासिक चित्रपटाच्या निर्मितीसाठी सर्व टीम अथक परिश्रम घेत आहे.

चित्रपटामध्ये जोतीरावांच्या भूमिकेत संदीप कुळकर्णी, तर राजश्री देशपांडे सावित्री माईची भूमिका साकारणार आहेत. चित्रपटाचे 80 टक्के शूटिंग पूर्ण झाले असून, उर्वरीत चित्रीकरण येत्या मे महिन्यात शूट करण्यात येणार आहे.

विशेष म्हणजे चित्रपट हिंदी आणि मराठी या दोन्ही भाषेत प्रदर्शीत होणार आहे. 19 व्या शतकाची सुरवात आणि तो काळ पडद्यावर साकारण्यासाठी मोठे भव्य सेट उभारण्यात आले असून, वी.एफ.एक्सच्या आधुनिक तंत्राचा देखील वापर करण्यात आला आहे.

''आपल्या कार्य कर्तृत्वाने 'महात्मा' पदावर पोहोचलेले जोतीराव आणि त्यांच्या प्रत्येक कार्यात त्यांची साथ देणाऱ्या सवित्री माईचा संपूर्ण जीवन प्रवास थक्क करणारा आणि तितकाच प्रेरणादायी आहे. महात्मा फुले आणि त्यांचे संपूर्ण कार्य चित्रपटाच्या माध्यमातून साकार करणे आव्हानात्मक होते. चित्रपटातील प्रसंग बघताना प्रेक्षक त्यामध्ये गुंतून जातील.'' असे प्रतिपादन चित्रपटाचे लेखक -  दिग्दर्शक निलेश रावसाहेब जळमकर यांनी केले.

''जोतिरावांच्या जीवनावर चित्रपट तयार करणे हे आमचे सामाजिक दायित्व आहे.'' असे समता फिल्म्सचे निर्माते प्रविण तायडे, अप्पा बोराटे यांनी म्हंटले असून, '' ही कथा हिंदी-मराठी प्रेक्षकांच्या नक्कीच पसंतीस येईल.'' असे मत पी बी इन्फ्राचे निर्माते पवन कुमार खोक्कर, भीमराव पट्टेबहादूर यांनी व्यक्त केले आहे. या चित्रपटाचे सहनिर्माते बिंदर सिंग, विशाल वाहुरवाघ , प्रतीका बनसोडे यांनी खात्री दिली की, '' प्रेक्षकांच्या ह्या चित्रपटातून अपेक्षा नक्की पूर्ण होतील.''' सत्यशोधक' चित्रपटाची उत्सुकता प्रेक्षकांमध्ये पाहायला मिळत आहे.

६७ वें राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कारों की घोषणा हाल ही में दिल्ली में की गई थी। सर्वश्रेष्ठ क्षेत्रीय फिल्मों की सूची में ‘बार्डो’ सर्वश्रेष्ठ मराठी फिल्म बन गई, जबकी बार्डो सिनेमा के ‘रान पेटलं’ गीत के लिए गायिका ‘सवानी रविंद्र’ को सर्वश्रेष्ठ पार्श्वगायिक का राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिला। अब  बार्डो के निर्देशक भिमराव मुडे, निर्मात्री ऋतुजा गायकवाड-बजाज, सह-निर्माता रोहन-रोहन, निषाद चिमोटे , सर्वश्रेष्ठ पार्श्वगायिका पुरस्कार  जीतनेवाली सावनी रवींद्र और बार्डो फिल्म  के कलाकारों और तकनीशियनों की सराहना पूरे देश मे हो रही है।

बार्डो के निर्देशक भिमराव मुडे ने राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार के बारे में अपनी भावनाओं को व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि , “जब बार्डो के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ मराठी फिल्म राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार की घोषणा की गई थी। उस समय की खुशी ,भावनाओं को शब्दों में व्यक्त नहीं कर सकता। यह खबर सुनते ही मेरी आँखें अपने आप ही बंद हो गईं थीं और उन सभी के मुस्कुराते चेहरों को मैंने देखा जो हमारे साथ बार्डो के लिए काम कर चुके थे। हम सभी का ये सपना था , जो इस पुरस्कार के साथ पूरा हुआ। कुछ चीजें हासिल करने के लिए कभी-कभी कुछ चीजों को खोना पड़ता है। पुरस्कार मिलने की मुझे खुशी  है पर दुख इस बात का है कि प्रमुख सहायक कला-निर्देशक नीलेश मोरे और अभिनेता कुणाल बने इन पलों को महसूस करने के लिए हमारे साथ नहीं रहे। मैंने फिल्म बार्डो .. ड्रीम रिलेटिविटी .. (Theory of Dream Relativity) में जो कहानी पेश की है, वह हक़ीकत में पूरी होती दिखी। मैंने इस फिल्म में जो कहानी बताने की कोशिश की है उसका एक जीता-जागता उदाहरण भी मैंने देख लिया है। 

”हिंदी और मराठी सिनेमा के जाने माने संगीतकार रोहन-रोहन, फ़िल्म बार्डो के सह-निर्माता भी हैं। वह बार्डो फिल्म के बारे में कहते हैं, “मुझे विश्वास नहीं हो रहा था कि बार्डो ने दो राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार जीते हैं। एक निर्माता के रूप में बार्डो हमारी पहली फिल्म है। और उस फिल्म के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त करना सोने पर सुहागा की तरह है।रान पेटलं ’ गीत श्वेता पेंडसे द्वारा लिखा गया है, संगीत हमारे द्वारा ही दिया गया और इसी गीत के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ पार्श्व गायक का पुरस्कार सावनी रवींद्र को मिला तो यह सब हमारे लिए एक सपना सच होने जैसा था। ”

बार्डो की निर्मात्री ऋतुजा गायकवाड़-बजाज के अनुसार, “मैंने पहले भी विभिन्न विषयों पर लघु फिल्में की हैं। एक निर्माता के रूप में बार्डो मेरी पहली फिल्म है। वास्तव में जब बार्डो के निर्देशक भीमराव मुडे और रोहन-रोहन से स्क्रिप्ट सुनी तो मैं फिल्म बनाने के लिए तैयार हो गई थी। और अब फिल्म को राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सम्मानित किया जा रहा है जो अविस्मरणीय पल है। 

बार्डो फिल्म निर्माता निषाद चिमोट ने बार्डो के निर्माण के बारे में कहा, “बार्डो की निर्माण प्रक्रिया से बहुत  कुछ सीखने को मिला। क्योंकि बार्डो फिल्म को विज्ञान और कला की अवधारणा से बनाया गया था। इस फिल्म का विषय बहुत अलग है। सभी के दिमाग में केवल यही बात थी कि इस मुद्दे को लोगों के ध्यान में लाया जाए। और इसलिए यह हुआ। बार्डो को सर्वश्रेष्ठ राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिला। पूरी बार्डो फिल्म टीम को उनकी कड़ी मेहनत के लिए पुरस्कृत किया गया। ”

Neha Adhvik Mahajan is the new age stylist and designer who has done a remarkable job on the looks of The J mag cover with model and actress Anushka Ranjan. She designed three looks. One of them was a typical Pakistani bride kind of look and the results are purely royal. We loved the smokey makeup and the outfits that perfectly complement that of a special day. The other two bridal looks were beautiful as well. The outfits were done by designer Reynu Taandon who is widely known for her bridal couture collection.

Let's hear it from Neha on the work she put behind this, "In terms of makeup in the 1st n 2nd modern bridal looks eyes were kept soft smokey with some nude peachy lips and flushed cheeks and the overall face was given a minimal no-makeup look because this is the kind of makeup trending these days. In the traditional Pakistani bridal look eyes were kept a little intense with brown smokey eyes and no much color on the lips. The base was kept very glowy n dewy to enhance the features of the face n given a flawless airbrushed look. All the make-up products used were top of the line. I totally love creating looks with their beauty products as they have a lot of variety to offer when it comes to colors textures n the feel of makeup. What else a girl needs when she gets so many products to experiment with and create different looks. The results are as we wanted and that's validation for the hard work we put in"
