At Koëcsh Studio at Badasaab over the weekend

Koëcsh Bride & Vanraj Zaveri Fine Jewellery collaborated and launched a one stop shop Bridal Studio at Koëcsh Studio at Badasaab, Bandra o
ver the weekend.

The Koëcsh studio showcased the Koëcsh Bridal and Pret collections, the BadaSaab Menswear collection along with Vanraj Zaveri Fine Jewellery making it the final destination for a Bride & Groom or families shopping for their big day.

During the day long event, the guests were seen admiring the launch collection and enjoying the company of the host couple along with some champagne and cheese.

Seen at the event were Kishor & Kintu Bajaj, Boman Irani with wife Zenobia Irani, Mira Rajput, Bhagyashree with daughter Avantika, Anshula Kapoor, Priya Dutt, Manasi Scott, Pooja Bedi,Nishka Lulla, Raja Dhody, Rita Dhody, Anuska Ranjan, Aarti & Kailash Surendranath, Kunika Singh, Anita Raj, Anaita Adajania Shroff, Azmina Rahimtoola, Roopa Fabiani, Renu Kochar, Priyanka Thakur, Priyank Shrama, Murdula Kadam, Yasmin Karachiwala,Rauzat Qureshi and many more

Vanraj launched a jewellery collection that has something for everyone. The range consists 0f diamond and jadau jewellery for men and women. The studio will showcase unique and easy going jewellery, as well as an array of bridal sets. The launch collection combines different craftsmanship techniques to bring to you something you won’t expect.

"It came very naturally to the both of us after our marriage because we had the opportunity to collaborate for our wedding. She designed our clothes and I, our jewellery. Since we’re both perfectionists, we both enjoyed the process instead of being harrowed by it. Ever since, we have collaborated for several brides to create looks for their special days." adds Vanraj

Under the brand, Kresha has developed the concept of ‘Lovestory Lehengas’, in which she portrays a couple’s journey through embroidery. The unique concept won Kresha widespread media recognition and is now known for her avant-garde and edgy design style, one that tests the barriers and boundaries of traditional design. Taking the concept further Kresha launches Koëcsh Bride.

In Greek mythology, the gods and heroes enjoyed a rich afterlife in a verdant island paradise where, in the words of Pindar, 'flowers of gold are blazing, some from splendid trees on land, while water nurtures others'.“I try to visualise that paradise and incorporate elements from it into the garments. By blending pastel colours, floral motifs, a complex network of vines through rich thread and embroidery work I aim to create something surreal from cloth. It becomes my canvas for depicting that beautiful and abundant paradise. Our guarantee is that every Koëcsh bride will be unique.” adds Kresha

She relies on sheer organza, tulle and georgette to manufacture the dreamlike silhouettes, and her  intricate cutwork is what gives Koëcsh its edge. For embellishments she uses Swarovski crystals, glass beading and sequins and employ aari and zardozi techniques. This traditional embroidery is executed by a skilled team of third generation artisans.

Handmade lace and cutwork when layered create a beautiful optical illusion on these garments. 3D hand beaded flowers, layered tassels and laser cut mirror work breathe life and dimensions into the collection. The selection spans lavishly embroidered dresses, gowns and lehengas with unconventional elements.

Kresha is also working on expanding her repertoire to western and ethnic wear for men under the reputed 40-year-old label BadaSaab, established by her father, Kishor Bajaj.

After spending many days collaborating on looks for other brides and grooms, Kresha & Vanraj decided to create a one-stop shop for any bride or groom. Since they both work on personalised pieces with similar aesthetics, they are able to create something unique and meaningful each time!

Address: Koëcsh Studio at Badasaab, above Hakkasan, Krystal Appts, Waterfield Road, Bandra West, Mumbai.
