राष्ट्रीय पर्यटन पुरस्कार सोहळ्या गोव्याला आणखी एक सन्मान – पर्यटनाच्या सर्वसमावेशक विकासासाठीचा प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार प्रदान (उर्वरित भारत)

पणजी, २७ सप्टेंबर – देशाच्या राजधानीत आज आयोजित करण्यात आलेल्या राष्ट्रीय पर्यटन पुरस्कार सोहळ्यात गोव्याने आणखी एक महत्त्वाचा टप्पा सर केला असून राज्याला २०१६- १७ साठीचा पर्यटनाचा सर्वसमावेशक विकास (उर्वरित भारत) हा प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला आहे. माननीय केंद्रीय पर्यटन मंत्री श्री. अल्फान्स कनंथानम यांच्या हस्ते प्रदान करण्यात आलेला हा पुरस्कार माननीय पर्यटन मंत्री, गोवा सरकार, श्री. मनोहर आजगांवकर यांनी जीटीडीसीचे व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक श्री. निखिल देसाई यांच्यासोबत श्रीमती रश्मी वर्मा (आयएएस) य पर्यटन सचिव, भारत सरकार यांच्या सन्माननीय उपस्थितीत स्वीकारला. 

यंदा सलग दुसऱ्या वर्षी गोव्याने प्रतिष्ठेचा राष्ट्रीय पर्यटन पुरस्कार स्वीकारला आहे. त्याचबरोबर गोव्याने पर्यटनाचा सर्वसमावेशक विकास (उर्वरित भारत) विभागात पुरस्कार मिळवण्याची ही दुसरी वेळ आहे.

आज २७ सप्टेंबर २०१८ रोजी असलेल्या जागतिक पर्यटन दिनाच्य निमित्ताने नवी दिल्लीतील विज्ञान भवनात झालेल्या शानदार सोहळ्यात आजचा हा पुरस्कार देण्यात आला. १९९० मध्ये एनटीए पुरस्कारांची स्थापना करण्यात आली होती आणि तेव्हापासून राज्य सरकार/युटी आणि इतर पर्यटन मंडळांना पर्यटन व हॉस्पिटॅलिटी क्षेत्रात त्यांनी केलेल्या उल्लेखनीय कामगिरीसाठी व त्यांच्यात निकोप स्पर्धा राहावी यासाठी हे पुरस्कार देण्यात येता.

गेल्या सहा वर्षांत गोवा राज्याने केलेल्या उल्लेखनीय कामगिरीचा संपूर्ण तपशील दाखल केल्यानंतर या पुरस्कारासाठी गोव्याची निवड झाली असून मूलभूत सुविधांचा विकास, पर्यटन प्रकल्पांचा प्रारंभ, पर्यटन उत्पादने व सेवांचे लाँच, सुरक्षिततेसाठी हाती घेतलेले उपक्रम, स्वच्छता, धोरण, विपणन आणि प्रचार, कार्यक्रम या विभागांत केलेल्या कामगिरीचा त्यात समावेश आहे.

पुरस्कार स्वीकारताना माननीय पर्यटन मंत्री, गोवा सरकार, श्री. मनोहर आजगांवकर म्हणाले, ‘सलग दुसऱ्या वर्षी आणि पर्यटनाचा सर्वसमावेशक विकास विभागात गोव्याने पुरस्कार मिळवणे ही खरंच सन्मानाची बाब आहे. गेल्या वर्षभरात मी पर्यटन विकासाच्या विविध पैलूंवर बारकाईने देखरेख करत असून पर्यटनाच्या सर्वांगीण विकासासाठी राज्यात बरेच उपक्रम राबवले जात असल्याचे नमूद करताना मला आंद होत आहे. याचा राज्याला जास्तीत जास्त पर्यटकांना आकर्षित करण्यासाठी मदत होत असून आकडेवारीबरोबरच मआम्ही पायाभूत सुविधा, सर्व प्रकारचे उपक्रम यांतही प्रगती केली आहे तसेच पर्यटकांची सुरक्षा आणि पर्यावरणाची स्वच्छता राखण्यासाठी आम्ही ठोस पावले उचलली आहेत. हा महत्त्वाचा टप्पा पार करण्यासाठी मदत करणाऱ्या पर्यटन क्षेत्रातील प्रत्येक घटकधारकाचे मी आभार मानतो आणि नियोजन, धोरणे, प्रकल्पांची अंमलबजावणी करून आम्हाला प्रकाशझोतात आणणाऱ्या गोवा टुरिझमच्या अधिकाऱ्यांचे मी अभिनंदन करतो. ही मेहनत, समर्पण आणि कार्यक्षम टीमच्या मदतीने आम्ही अशाचप्रकारे पुढे जात राहू आणि त्याची भविष्यातही अशा प्रकारे प्रतिष्ठित पुरस्कार मिळवण्यासाठी मदत होईल अशी मी आशा व प्रार्थना करतो मी गोव्याचे माननीय मुख्यमंत्री श्री. मनोहर पर्रीकर आणि उर्जामंत्री व गोवा पर्यटन विकास महामंडळाचे (जीटीडीसी) अध्यक्ष श्री. निलेश काब्राल यांनी गोवा टुरिझमला या टप्प्यावर नेण्यासाठी केलेल्या सहकार्याबद्दल आभार मानतो. ’

Yet another honour  for Goa at the National Tourism Awards: Presented  Prestigious Award for Comprehensive Development  of Tourism (Rest of India)

Panjim, Sept 27: Goa achieves yet another milestone  at the National Tourism Awards  held in the national capital today bagging the prestigious national tourism award in the category of  Comprehensive Development  of Tourism (Rest of India) for the year 2016-17. The award was presented by  the Hon’ble Union Minister for Tourism, Mr. Alphons Kannanthanam and   was received  by the Hon’ble Minister  for Tourism, Govt. of Goa, Mr. Manohar Ajgaonkar along with Managing Director of  GTDC, Mr. Nikhil Desai in  the distinguished presence of Secretary Tourism, Govt.  of India, Ms Rashmi Verma (IAS).

This is the second  year in a row that Goa has bagged   a prestigious  National Tourism Award. This is  also the second  time Goa is bagging an NTA in the  category of  Comprehensive Development  of Tourism (Rest of India). 

 Today’s  award was presented at a glittering  ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan   in New Delhi  coinciding  with the occasion of World Tourism Day, 27th September 2018. The NTA awards have been instituted since 1990 and presented to State governments/UTs and  several other tourism bodies in recognition of their performance in  the respective fields of travel, tourism and hospitality encouraging healthy competition with an aim to promote tourism.

Goa’s selection  for the award comes as a result of  a well documented submission  on  the State’s achievements  in tourism  over the last  six years which  has achieved  fruitful results in various sectors  be  it infrastructure development,  commissioning of tourism  projects,  launching of  tourism products and services,  initiatives taken  on  safety and security,  cleanliness and  hygiene, policies, marketing and promotion, events and activities etc.

On receiving the award  the Hon’ble Minister  for Tourism, Mr.  Manohar Ajgaonkar said, “It is truly an honour  for Goa to receive  such a prestigious award for the second year especially in the  area of Comprehensive Development  of Tourism.  Over the last one  year, I have been  closely monitoring  various aspects  of  tourism development and  it is noteworthy that  a lot  is being undertaken   in the State towards  overall development  of  tourism. This is helping  the State to attract more tourists as we have grown not only in numbers but in terms  of infrastructure,  initiatives of all kinds and  strengthened  measures  for safety of tourists and providing  a clean environment.  I  thank  each and  every  tourism stakeholder who has contributed  towards helping Goa Tourism  achieve this  milestone and  I  congratulate  all the Goa tourism  officials  who have  worked hard to execute  plans, policies and projects  which has put us in a spotlight.  I  hope and pray that  this hard work, dedication  and efficient  team continues  to march ahead and  help us achieve  many such prestigious awards in the years to come. I also thank  the Hon’ble Chief Minister  of Goa, Mr. Manohar Parrikar and  Minister for Power & Chairman  of Goa Tourism Development  Corporation  (GTDC) Mr. Nilesh Cabral for their  wholehearted  support  and  co-operation  in helping  Goa  Tourism  to reach  great heights.”

After an amazing response received at the Toronto International Film Festival and India premiere at the Jio MAMI 19th Mumbai Film Festival, "Village Rockstars" which was named Best Feature Film at the 65th National Film Awards, is India's official entry for the 2019 Oscars, in the Best Foreign Language film category. The announcement was made by the Film Federation of India on the morning of 22 September 2018, Saturday

"I grew up in a remote village called Chhaygaon in the remote state of Assam in India. Life back then was Hharsh. It continues to be so today, " Village Rockstars" is my tribute to the place, the people where i come from. My entire artists are non-actors who are villagers and childrens" says Director Rima Das. "Village Rockstars" is the result Director Rima Das's  long and interesting journey of exploring various departments in the industry while being behind the camera. 

Screened in more than 70 international and national film festivals and won 44 awards, including four National Awards for best location, sound recording, editing and child artiste (Bhanita Das). Its theatrical release in India is scheduled for 28 September 2018.

Set in Das' own village Chhaygaon in Assam, Village Rockstars is the story of "poor but amazing children" who live a fun-filled life. It has, at its center an Assamese village girl, named Dhunu, who aspires to become a rockstar one day.

गोव्याची ‘मस्ट व्हिजिट’ अशी प्रसिद्धी करण्यासाठी गोवा टुरिझमने नुकतेच डिजिटल व सोशल मीडिया व्यासपीठावर ‘टुरिझम बाय टुरिस्ट’ हे अभियान लाँच केले. ते लाँच करण्यासाठी गोवा टुरिझमने ५०० हौशी फोटोग्राफर्स (क्राउड सोर्सर्ड इन्स्टाग्राम अक्टिव्हिटी #PickMyGoaPic), १०० पेक्षा जास्त ब्लॉगर्स आणि ३० युट्यूब कंटेट क्रिएटर्सबरोबर गोव्यात फिरून व्हिडिओज, पिक्चर्स, ब्लॉग्ज असा विविध प्रकारचा कंटेंट तयार करण्यासाठी भागिदारी केली. गोव्याची ‘मस्ट व्हिजिट डेस्टिनेशन’ अशी प्रसिद्धी करण्यासाठी हा सर्व कंटेट एका आकर्षक व्हिडिओमध्ये रुपांतरित करण्यात आला. या अभियामानामुळे पेसबुक, ट्विटर, इन्स्टाग्रामसह सर्व सोशल मीडिया प्लॅटफॉर्मवरील फॉलोअर्स कितीतरी पटींनी वाढले आहेत. या अभियानाला २०१७ मध्ये राष्ट्रीय पर्यटन पुरस्कार सोहळा, पर्यटन मंत्रालय, भारताद्वारे बेस्ट युज ऑफ सोशल मीडिया इन प्रमोशन ऑफ अ टुरिझम बोर्डचा गोल्ड पुरस्कारही देण्यात आला होता. या डिजिटल अभियानाला कम्युनिकेशन क्षेत्रातील इतरही बरेच राष्ट्रीय व आंतरराष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार मिळाले आहेत.

पर्यटन विभाग, गोवा सरकारने संपूर्ण पर्यटन व्यवसाय ई- नोंदणीअंतर्गत आणला असून त्यामुळे नोंदणी आणि परवाना नूतनीकरण प्रक्रिया जास्त पद्धतशीर झाली आहे. स्थआनिक पर्यटन भागधारकांना आता त्यांच्या अर्जाची प्रगती ऑनलाइन तपासता येते आणि एसएमएसद्वारे त्याची अद्यावत माहिती मिळवता येते. जीटीडीटी रेसिडन्सीज विशेषतः पणजी रेसिडेन्सीने टेकसॅव्ही पर्यटकांसाठी नव्या सुधारित सुविधाही उपलब्ध केल्या असून त्यात ई- बुकिंग आणि ई- पेमेंट सुविधांचा समावेश आहे. राष्ट्रीय व आंतरराष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रमांत ब्रोशरव्यतिरिक्त ई- साहित्याद्वारे पर्यटनाचा प्रसार करण्यासाठी गोवा टुरिझमने जीआयएस मॅपिंगचा प्रस्तावही मांडला आहे.

जागतिक पर्यटनाच्या निमित्ताने मनोगत व्यक्त करताना माननीय पर्यटन मंत्री श्री. मनोहर आजगांवकर म्हणाले, ‘डिजिटल तंत्रज्ञानाचा अवलंब केल्याने आणि विपणन आणि प्रचार उपक्रमांमध्ये मोठा बदल केल्याने एकंदरीतच गोवा टुरिझममध्ये लक्षणीय बदल घडून आल्याचे सांगताना मला अतिशय आनंद होत आहे. इतर पर्यटन महामंडळांकडून तीव्र स्पर्धा असताना गोवा टुरिझम जगभरात सर्वत्र पोहोचण्यासाठी आपली व्याप्ती वाढवत असून या प्रयत्नांना यश मिळत आहे. अंतर्गत प्रक्रियेपासून पर्यटन सेवांपर्यंत सर्व बाबींचे डिजिटायझेशन करत गोवा टुरिझमने डिजिटल रुपांतरणाचा मोठा पल्ला पूर्ण केला आहे. आमचे पर्यटन भागीदार आणि घटकधारक तसेच गोव्यात येणाऱ्या प्रत्येक पर्यटकांला गोवा टुरिझमचा सुखद अनुभव मिळेल अशी मी आशा करतो.  त्याचबरोबर या डिजिटल प्रवासात महत्त्वाचे टप्पे गाठण्यासाठी पर्यटन विभाग आणि गोवा पर्यटन विकास महामंडळाचे त्यांनी केलेले पूर्ण सहकार्य, मेहनत आणि उत्साहासाठी मी अभिनंदन करतो.’

माननीय उर्जा मंत्री, गोवा सरकार आणि गोवा पर्यटन विकास महामंडळाचे (जीटीडीसी) अध्यक्ष श्री. निलेश काब्राल म्हणाले, ‘टुरिझम व डिजिटल रुपांतरण क्षेत्रात गोवा पर्यटन विकास महामंडळ चांगली कामगिरी करत असून त्यांची नवीन, ऍप आधारित टॅक्सी सेवा याची प्रचिती देणारी आहे. गोव्यात येणाऱ्या पर्यटकांचा अनुभव उंचावण्यासाठी बांधील असलेल्या महामंडळाने पर्यटकांना गोव्यात फिरण्यासाठी वाहतुकीचा सोयीस्कर व स्वस्त पर्याय मिळावा यासाठी प्रचंड मेहनत करून ऍप आधारित टॅक्सी सेवा लाँच केली आहे. पर्यटन व्यवसायाला सेवा देण्यासाठी गोवामाइल्स सज्ज असून ही नवी सेवा पर्यटकांना गोव्याला भेट देण्यासाठी आणि हे राज्य बघण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहन देईल. डिजिटल व्यासपीठांद्वारे प्रचलित करण्यात आलेली आमची इतर उत्पादने आणि सेवाही यशस्वी ठरल्या असून जागतिक पातळीवर गोवा टुरिझमचा प्रसार करण्यासाठी डिजिटल तंत्रज्ञानाचा कशाप्रकारे योग्य वापर करता येईल हे दर्शवणारी आहेत. हे सर्व बदल चांगले परिणाम साधत असून गोव्याला गेल्या वर्षात ७ लाख पर्यटकांनी भेट दिली आहे. मला खात्री वाटते, की पर्यटनाचा नवा हंगाम सुरू होत असताना नवा अनुभव देणाऱ्या या सर्व सेवांचा पर्यटक लाभ घेतील. जागतिक पर्यटन दिनाच्या निमित्ताने मी सर्व पर्यटन भागधारक आणि अधिकाऱ्यांचे अभिनंदन करतो आणि गोवा टुरिझमचा झेंडा असाच उंच ठेवण्यासाठी चांगले काम करत राहाण्याची विनंती करतो.’
