आनंद पंडित मोशन पिक्चर्स, गूझबम्प्स एंटरटेन्मेंट आणि नितीन वैद्य प्रॉडक्शनच्या 'मुसाफिरा' हा चित्रपट नुकताच प्रदर्शित झाला आहे. या चित्रपटाची चर्चा सर्वत्र सुरू असतानाच त्यात चित्रपटातील एका अभिनेत्याचं नाव सध्या चर्चेत आहे. स्पर्श माझा, साथ असताना तू अश्या अनेक प्रसिद्ध मराठी म्युझिक अल्बम्सनंतर अभिनेता चेतन मोहतुरेने मुसाफिरा या चित्रपटातून मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टीत पदार्पण केलं आहे. सुप्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री पूजा सावंत हिच्या सोबत त्याने रूपेरी पडद्यावर स्क्रीन शेअर केली आहे. मुसाफिरा चित्रपटाचं संपूर्ण चित्रीकरण स्कॉटलॅण्डला चित्रीत झालं आहे. शिवाय या बिग बजेट मराठी चित्रपटाची खासियत म्हणजे स्कॉटिश हायलँड्सच्या आयल ऑफ स्कायवर चित्रित केलेला हा पहिला भारतीय चित्रपट ठरला.

अभिनेता चेतन मोहतुरे त्याच्या पहिल्याच चित्रपटाविषयी सांगतो, “मराठी चित्रपटात काम करायला मिळणं ही बालपणापासूनची माझी इच्छा होती. आई बाबांसोबत चित्रपटगृहात जाऊन मोठ्या पडद्यावर चित्रपट पाहायचो. तेव्हा मला फार अप्रूप वाटायचं. की मी मोठा होऊन चित्रपटात काम करेन. आणि हे माझं स्वप्न “मुसाफिरा’ या चित्रपटाद्वारे पूर्ण झालं आहे. करिअरच्या सुरूवातीलाच पुष्कर जोग सर आणि पूजा सावंत यांच्यासोबत काम करायला मिळण. हे माझं भाग्यचं आहे.”  

पुढे तो चित्रपटातील भूमिकेविषयी सांगतो,”मुसाफिरा चित्रपटात मी विहानची व्यक्तिरेखा साकारली आहे. मला विहानची स्क्रीप्ट मिळताच मी लगेच होकार दिला होता. कारण ती व्यक्तिरेखा मला प्रचंड आवडली होती. चित्रपटातील विहान हा फ्री स्पिरीट मुलगा आहे. आणि तो आयुष्य ख-या रितीने जगतो. मी स्वत:ला विहानच्या व्यक्तिरेखेला कुठे ना कुठे रिलेट करतो. म्हणून मी ही व्यक्तिरेखा निवडली. जेव्हा मी पूजा सावंतला पहिल्यांदा सेटवर भेटलो. तेव्हा मला कळलं की कलाकार जितका अनुभवी असतो. तितकाच तो डाऊन टू अर्थ देखिल असतो. तिच्याकडून मी अभिनयाविषयी अनेक गोष्टी शिकलो.”

पुढे तो सेटवरचा किस्सा सांगतो, “स्कॉटलॅण्डला मुसाफिराच्या सेटवर शुट सुरू होत. माझा वाढदिवस होऊन ३ दिवस झाले होते. पण मी कोणाला सांगितलं नव्हतं. मग असचं एकदा लंच करताना मला एकाने विचारलं की तुझा वाढदिवस कधी आहे. आणि मग मी सांगितलं की ३ दिवसापूर्वी माझा वाढदिवस झाला. क्रू मेंबर्सनी पाच मिनीटात माझ्यासमोर केक आणला. आणि मला अचानक वाढदिवसाचं सुंदर सप्राईज दिलं. माझ्या पहिल्याच चित्रपटाच्या सेटवरचा तो वाढदिवस माझ्या आयुष्यभर आठवणीत राहील.”
