     On the occasion of Raja Paranjape's Birth Anniversary on 20th April, every year this festival is organized in the name of Raja Paranjape festival.  During the same time period from April 14th – April 20^th of every year.

     This festival showcases screening of films, several plays and musical based programs .

The 9th edition of Raja Paranjape festival was conducted by Raja Paranjape foundation which was inaugurated by MP Sambhaji Raje at Keshavrao Bhosale auditorium. This festival recognizes artists from various fields of acting, direction, music and drama.

     Director Rajesh Mapuskar received Raja Paranjape honour for his notable work in the field of direction for ‘Ferrari ki Sawaari’ and ‘Ventilator’ which has also won national awards in 2016.

     The legacy of Raja Paranjape continues to reside in hearts its audience, the main motive behind organizing this festival is to reach out, to the next generation.

     On winning the award Rajesh Mapuskar beams that “We had theatre in Shrivardhan where along with my cousins I used to work, this grew my interest in cinema. Raja Paranjape’s movies were great part of my childhood memories. When I recall my journey from Shrivardhan to Mumbai and my struggle to make a mark in the industry from then, to now directing films like Ferrari ki Sawaari and Ventilator. This day is also special as it brings out fond memories of working with Nirmiti Sawant on a play”

     Actor Sanjay Narvekar, Music director and Singer Avdhoot Gupte, Actress Nirmitte Sawant also received Raja Paranjape Award.

     अभिनय, चित्रपट निर्मिती, दिग्दर्शन, नाटक अशा सगळ्याच विभागांत राजा समजल्या जाणाऱ्या राजा परांजपे यांच्या प्रतिष्ठानातर्फे आयोजित होणाऱ्या राजा परांजपे महोत्सवाच्या नवव्या पर्वाची सुरूवात नुकतीच कोल्हापूरात झाली. दरवर्षीप्रमाणे यंदाही या सोहळ्याच्या पहिल्याच दिवशी राजा परांजपे पुरस्कारांचे वितरण करण्यात आले. यावेळी सिनेसृष्टीतील मान्यवरांचा सन्मान करण्यात आला. यात दिग्दर्शन विभागासाठी राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेते दिग्दर्शक राजेश मापुसकर यांच्या ‘फेरारी की सवारी’ आणि ‘व्हेंटिलेटर’ या सिनेमांची दखल घेत त्यांच्या उल्लेखनीय कामगिरीसाठी राजेश मापुसकर यांचा सन्मान करण्यात आला आहे. कोल्हापूरच्या केशवराव भोसले नाट्यगृहात पार पडलेल्या या सोहळ्यात बोलताना, “श्रीवर्धन ला आमचं थिएटर होतं जिथे आम्ही सगळी भावंडं मजा-मस्तीबरोबरच या क्षेत्रातल्या वेगवेगळ्या गोष्टी शिकण्याचा प्रयत्न करत होतो, असं राजेश मापुसकर म्हणाले. त्यानंतर घडलेला श्रीवर्धन ते मुंबई हा प्रवास आणि अॅड फिल्म्सनंतर 'फेरारी की सवारी', 'व्हेंटिलेटर' सारख्या चित्रपटांचं दिग्दर्शन... ही सगळी वर्ष कोल्हापूर ला येताना नजरेसमोरून ओझरती जात असल्याचं म्हणत... सिनेसृष्टीतील या राजाच्या नावाने दिल्या जाणाऱ्या पुरस्काराचा मानकरी ठरल्याबद्दल सगळ्यांचेच मनापासून आभार मानले. तर यावेळी निर्मितीताईंबरोबर केलेल्या नाटकाच्या आठवणींनाही उजाळा मिळाल्याचं दिग्दर्शक राजेश मापुसकर यांनी म्हटलं.”

     दरम्यान राजा परांजपे प्रतिष्ठानाच्या वतीने आयोजित नवव्या राजा परांजपे महोत्सवाचे उद्घाटन आणि राजा परांजपे सन्मान पुरस्कार वितरण खासदार संभाजीराजे यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आले. यावेळी दिग्दर्शक राजेश मापुसकर यांच्याबरोबरच अभिनेते संजय नार्वेकर, संगीतकार-गायक अवधूत गुप्ते, अभिनेत्री निर्मिती सावंत यांचाही सन्मान करण्यात आला. तर जीवनगौरव पुरस्कारासाठी ज्येष्ठ कलाकार अशोक सराफ यांची निवड झाली असून 20 एप्रिलला साजऱ्या होणाऱ्या राजा परांजपे जयंतीनिमित्त त्यांना हा पुरस्कार देण्यात येणार आहे.

     14 एप्रिल ते 20 एप्रिल चालणाऱ्या या महोत्सवात राजा परांजपे यांचे 10 चित्रपट आणि 7 सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रेक्षकांना पाहता येणार आहेत.

Goa Tourism to roll out two mega events: Grape Escapade  and Goa Vintage Car & Bike Festival 2018

Panjim, April 16: Goa being a land of festivals has a lot to showcase to the world and one of the most interesting elements are its festivals.  There’s  a double treat  in the second  fortnight  of April 2018. So pack your bags  and  head to Goa for this double delight.

Goa Tourism is all set to conduct two of its most captivating events, the Grape Escapade  and  Goa Vintage Car & Bike Festival 2018.

Grape Escapade 2018:  India’s much loved  Lifestyle  and  Wine Festival organized by Goa Tourism through Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), the ‘Grape Escapade 2018’, is all set to begin from  April 19- 22  at the D.B. Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Panjim from 6pm onwards.

This is the 14^th edition of the Grape Escapade. The four day event is expected to draw lakhs of tourists in view of the on-going summer vacations  and  surge in tourists to the State.

Over the years, Grape Escapade has provided a platform for local enterpreneurs to share expertise, display products, engage in B2B, and offers  tourists and  Goans an opportunity to savour on flavours from the vineyard, taste Goan food and experience Goa’s traditions and culture.

The event is a celebration of the finest - wine, food, fashion and entertainment. The 4 day festival brings together a host of professionals from the tourism & hospitality industry; hoteliers, restaurateurs, wineries and manufacturers to showcase their premium offerings.

Goa Vintage Car & Bike Festival 2018: 

Goa Tourism’s Grape Escapade to be held from April 19-22, 2018 at D.B. Bandodkar Ground, Campal, Panjim & Vintage Bike and Car festival is ready to hit the streets of Panjim  on 29^th April  2018  at the INOX Courtyard from 10.00 a.m. onwards & Various vintage bike and car owners, users, collectors and fans  will parade along with  their prized possessions around the capital city of Panjim.

The vintage bike and car rally will route from INOX courtyard to Miramar Circle and  further proceed to Divja circle and head back to INOX Courtyard  where they will be  on display  till 6.00 pm. This will be followed by a function  to award prizes and  certificates   for various categories  of vintage  vehicles. Some of the categories  will include the oldest automobile, most appealing and  the rarest etc.

A fashion show and various other entertainment programmes would be lined-up in the evening to engage the audience and make this event a memorable one.
