BPCL is once again the India’s most sustainable Oil and Gas Company in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices 2021

 Mumbai, December 15, 2021: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a ‘Maharatna’ and a Fortune Global 500 Company has been ranked India’s top oil and gas company for its sustainability performance in the 2021 edition of the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). The Dow Jones Sustainability™ World Index comprises global sustainability leaders as identified by S&P Global through the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). It represents the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies in the S&P Global BMI based on long-term economic, environmental and social criteria.

 

Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, BPCL said, “The continued recognition by DJSI validates BPCL’s efforts of moving towards a Net Zero company  in  scope 1 and scope 2 emissions by 2040 and reinforces our commitment to invest in people, planet and prosperity.”

 

BPCL’s commitment to Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) and responsible growth has again been recognized by DJSI. This is the second consecutive year that BPCL is at the top of the DJSI Indices in India having achieved a score of 59, against an industry average score of 39. Sustainability is the top priority at BPCL. The Company, recently announced its ambitious journey of being a net zero energy company by 2040. After causing an Internet stir by the alleged news of their marriage , Awez Darbar and Nagma Mirajkar have finally put rumours to rest by releasing their new single - Heartfail . Released by Saregama, the song has been sung by Mika Singh, composed by Shaarib Toshi, and is poised to be a romantic tapori number of the season.

The song hits all the mischievous and playful notes when the tapori lover boy Awez - as ‘Jigarwala BF’ - woos the love of his life , Nagma - as Sharmili GF. But he first has to go through Pyar Ka Hitler Satish Kaushik - who plays Nagma’s dad, who is much opposed to their match. Much frolic and banter ensures between the two opposing camps - all leading to a great twist in the end , that turns the table dramatically.

Peppy, upbeat, and exuding a casual tapori vibe, "Heartfail" is catchy  and makes you break into a dance effortlessly.
