Actress Kenisha Awasthi is a musician at heart and she sees herself as a musician first and then an actor performer

Kenisha dons many hats. Be it an actor, anchor, musician, or entrepreneur. She does it all. But at heart, she is a musician and she is actually highly trained in western and Hindustani classical music. Music has always been her true calling. She started her vocal training in Western Classical under the very able tutelage of Jennifer D'souza- her first vocal coach. She trained with D'souza for over a year before enrolling herself in the very prestigious, state-of-the-art music academy- True School of Music. There she trained under an international music teacher, Miss. Andrea even performed live with her classmates. 

Post this she went on to train in Hindustani Classical music in Gyan Ashram under her Guru Shri Paresh Jana whom she resumed taking personal classes from to Fastrack her vocal growth and learn the nitty-gritty of Hindustani classical music in-depth.

She parallelly started her YouTube channel called Kenisha Awasthi Official  - where she covered many Hindi and English songs - some of which garnered millions of views. Her cover of the Late Shri Mukesh's classic Yeh Mera Deewanapan Hai- went viral and crossed 4 million views. Her haunting cover of Jaadu Teri Nazar got featured in many youth magazines and also got picked up by Radio City London where it played quite frequently and was loved by all the listeners. That truly was a path-breaking moment in her musical career and one she sees as something that gave her enormous confidence in her abilities.

As of 2022, Kenisha is all set to further her musical journey with her original singles. This year will see her release at least 5 originals that will have a unique sound and display a perfect fusion of western musical influences concerning the music production but purely Indian style of singing.

Kenisha's endeavor with her music is to carve a unique sound signature for her and show how Indian vocalists need not necessarily sing in English to display world-class standards of musical prowess. She believes great music is universal, one that cuts through barriers of borders regardless of the language it's sung in or the nationality of the musician. Melodies and souls are beyond the confines of caste, creed, and country.

With this resolve, she looks forward to experimenting with varied genres and collaborating with phenomenal musicians from India and across the world.

नाटक, सिनेमा किंवा मालिका या तिन्ही माध्यमांना उत्तम आणि होतकरू कलाकार घडवून देण्याचं काम एकांकिका हे माध्यम गेली अनेकवर्षं सातत्याने करत आहे. हतबल न होता परिस्थितीशी झगडत हे कलाकार मनोरंजन सृष्टीत पुन्हा नव्याने उभे राहत आहेत. कलाकृती कोणतीही असो व कोणतंही माध्यम, एकांकिका करणाऱ्या या कलाकारांनी नेहमीच सगळ्यांना भुरळ पाडली. वनिता खरात आणि ओंकार राऊत ही दोन नाव प्रामुख्याने या संदर्भात घेतली जातात.

            संतोष मांजरेकर यांच्या दिग्दर्शनाने सज्ज असा लकडाऊन हा चित्रपट येत्या २५ फेब्रुवारीला प्रदर्शित होत आहे. वनिता खरात आणि ओंकार राऊत या चित्रपटात मुख्य भूमिकेत असून या दोघांच्या भूमिकेची चांगलीच चर्चा आहे. महाराष्ट्राचा सुपरस्टार अंकुश चौधरी आणि प्राजक्ता माळी याच्या सोबत हे दोघे तरुण कलाकार झळकणार आहेत. लकडाऊन हा चित्रपट विनोदी आणि त्याच बरोबर कौटुंबिक चित्रपट असून ओंकार यात अंकुश चौधरी याच्या लहान भावाची भूमिका साकारत आहे. तर वनिताच्या भूमिका ही अजून गुलदस्त्यात आहे. वनिता आणि ओंकार हे दोघेही एकांकिका माध्यमाशी संलग्न असून या चित्रपटाच्या निमित्ताने दोन एकांकिका रंगकर्मींना मोठ्या पडद्यावर संधी मिळाली आहे. चित्रपटाच्या निमित्ताने वनिता आणि ओंकार दोघें ही तब्बल महिनाभर जुन्नर येथे होते. पहिल लॉकडाऊन उघडतातच या चित्रपटाच्या चित्रीकरणाला सुरुवात झाली. करोनाचे सर्व नियम पाळत या चित्रपटाच चित्रीकरण पार पडल. चित्रीकरणाच्या दरम्यान शुभा खोटे यांचा एक भाग चित्रित केल्यानंतर ज्या वेळी त्या बाहेर एका खोली बाहेर पडत होत्या त्यावेळी त्या धडपडल्या आणि त्या वेळी   तिथे असलेला ओंकार राऊत यांनी त्यांना आधार दिला, त्याच मनगट घट्ट धरत स्वतःला सावरत शुभा खोटे ओंकार राऊतला म्हणाल्या "शेवटचा असा हात मी देवानंद यांचा धरला होता" अशी एक आठवण आयुष्यभर सोबत राहील अशी ओंकारला या चित्रपटाच्या निमित्ताने मिळाली. या चित्रपटाचे वैशिष्ठ म्हणजे या चित्रपटात अंकुश, प्राजक्ता, वनिता आणि ओंकार सोबत तब्बल १२ नामवंत कलाकार असणार आहेत. चित्रपटाच्या कार्यकारी निर्मिता स्मिता खरात असून चित्रपटातील नृत्य फुलवा खामकर यांनी दिग्दर्शित केली आहेत. चित्रपटाचं साउंड रेकॉर्डिग अभिजित देव यांनी केलं आहे. शरद सोनवणे, दर्शन फुलपगार,अजित सोनपाटकी आणि सागर फुलपगार हे या चित्रपटाचे निर्माते आहेत. चित्रपटाचे लेखक रविंद्र मठाधिकारी यांनी केलं आहे. या चित्रपटाला संगीत अविनाश - विश्वजितच आहे तर संकलन परेश मांजरेकर यांनी केले आहे.

Valentine’s Day is a friendship & lifelong romance set to music & what could be better in the universe to celebrate this year’s Valentine’s Day than with Legend Lata Mangeshkar Ji’s romantic music beaded through a rare soulful Art Collection.

She was unquestionably one of the greatest vocalists in the country and has offered music fans a plethora of timeless tunes. With the unfortunate demise of Lata Mangeshkar, condolences poured in as India woke up to disheartening news of having lost the legendary singer, who succumbed while undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday.

As India lost its most iconic voice, Aneel Murarka, Founder of Ample Mission paid a pictorial tribute to her. He exhibited 34 paintings of Late Smt. Lata Mangeshkar from her adolescence to adulthood. The display consisted of rare pictures of her, a few never-seen-before portraits.

Emotional about the demise, Aneel Murarka said "In her seven-decade-long career, Lata Mangeshkar gave us musical gems such as Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo, Lag Jaa Gale, Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hain Hum, and Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya, among others. For her exceptional talent, she was honored with countless awards, including the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Dadasaheb Phalke Award. This is a small gesture to honor her work, there was and there will never be anyone like her"

 Karishma Kotak meets Prince Charles at the British Asian Trust event 

This girl is going places and she met none other than Prince Charles. He is the most eminent of personalities. The British Asian Trust has been there for over a decade and still going strong. It was founded to tackle major problems across South Asia by Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, and various British Asian leaders.  Prince Charles is the longest-serving heir in British history and with the British Asian Trust together, they have done commendable work in the field of wildlife conservation. They work exclusively in the fields of livelihoods, education, mental health/special abilities, and anti-human trafficking. Karishma has all of these close to her heart and she does her bit time and again. She caught up with Prince Charles and we are all ears to know the conversation.

Let's hear what Karishma has to say, "It was an auspicious occasion and it was great to meet Prince Charles. They have done some fantastic work in various fields in South Asia. The British Asian trust in multiple arenas and they are all close to me. I caught up with Prince Charles and we spoke about cricket. That's a major talking point here in England as English cricket is going through a transition of sorts. And India and cricket are just synonymous. He is a very well and soft-spoken man and he devotes attention. The British Asian trust has a long way to go and it has come far as well. Glad to be part of this event. "
