IIJS Signature 2025 is organised from 4th to 7^th January 2025 at Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) and from 5th to 8th January at Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), NESCO, Goregaon, and Mumbai.

Mumbai, 5^th January 2025: The first-of-its-kind India Jewellery Park Mumbai’s construction will commence this month, announced Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman, Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) during the inauguration of the 17^th edition of India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Signature gem & jewellery trade show at Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), NESCO, Goregaon East. Phase 1 of India Jewellery Park Mumbai, including the A1, A2, and A3 buildings spanning approximately 9 lakh square feet will be ready for procession by December 2026.

 

IIJS Signature's grand inauguration at Goregaon Mumbai, was graced by Chief Guest Ms Amruta Fadnavis (Banker, Singer & Social Worker) along with Guests of Honours Shri R. Arulanandan Director, Dept. of Commerce, MoC&I; Shri Deependra Singh Khuswaha (IAS), Development Commission (Industries), Government of Maharashtra; Shri Suvankar Sen Executive Director Senco Gold & Diamonds; Shri Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Shri Nirav Bhansali, Convener, National Exhibitions, GJEPC; and Shri Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC; and other dignitaries from the gem and jewellery industry.

 

Ms. Amruta Devendra Fadnavis (Banker, Singer and Social Worker), said, “India’s gem & jewellery business is now at the centre of the global trade and we in Maharashtra are committed to the growth of this indigenous industry. Several key steps have already been taken to give a boost to the gem & jewellery business, which can contribute significantly to helping realise Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s dream of $5 trillion economy for India; and Hon. Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis ji’s $1 trillion economy dream for Maharashtra. I am very happy to note that GJEPC has initiated several programs for women empowerment and adopted sustainable environmentally friendly initiatives for the world-class IIJS exhibitions in Mumbai.”

 

Talking about exports Shri Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC added, “On the export front, we remain optimistic about 2025. With American President Donald Trump’s return to the White House, there is hope for renewed stability in the geopolitical landscape, revitalized trade, and stronger supply chains, driving global demand for gems and jewellery. However, GJEPC is continuously exploring new markets while strengthening its presence in existing ones.   In a significant milestone, GJEPC will be organizing its first exhibition in Saudi Arabia. The event will be held in the vibrant city of Jeddah from September 11 to 13, 2025. This will serve as a gateway to boost bilateral trade between India and the GCC region. Our gem and jewellery industry is highly equipped to meet the requirement of any market worldwide. With unparalleled capacity, advanced technology, skilled artisans, and talented designers, we are prepared to excel on the global stage. Together, we will contribute significantly to the Hon’ble Prime Minister's vision of a Viksit Bharat.”

 

Shri R. Arulanandan (IAS), Director, Deptt of Commerce Ministry of Commerce & Industries, said, “The Ministry has been working closely with GJEPC to understand concerns of the trade. Year 2024 was a year of achievement and lot of industry issues resolved paving the way for unprecedented growth of the gem & jewellery sector. IIJS Signature is truly an international show and paves the way for a bright exponential growth.”

 

Shri Deependra Singh Kushwaha (IAS) Development Commissioner Industries Government of Maharashtra, said, “The gem & jewellery industry is symbolic of India’s tremendous tradition of entrepreneurship in addition to being part of its culture and heritage. Maharashtra accounts for 47% of India’s total gem & jewellery exports and employs 3.5 lakh workers. Mumbai has iconic infrastructure such the Bharat Diamond Bourse, SEEPZ and the world's largest handmade jewellery hub in Zaveri Bazaar and Dagina Bazaar. With the upcoming India Jewellery Park in Navi Mumbai, 1 lakh people will get employment. With this Rs 50,000 crore investment in the Jewellery Park, Maharashtra will take centre-stage in India's gem & jewellery industry. The State is committed to training and skill development as Maharashtra stands at the cusp of transformation. We shall improvise policy, facilitate ease of doing business. The gem & jewellery business is not just an economic driver but an embodiment of creativity craftsmanship and aspiration.”

 'इलू इलू' म्हणत एलीची मराठी चित्रपटात एंट्री

एकीकडे मराठी चित्रपट देशविदेशातील चित्रपट महोत्सवांमध्ये बाजी मारत आहेत, तर दुसरीकडे बॅाक्स आॅसवर काही मराठी चित्रपट भरघोस कमाई करताना दिसत आहेत. त्यामुळे हिंदीपासून इतर भाषिक कलाकार मराठी सिनेसृष्टीकडे आकर्षित झालेले पहायला मिळत आहेत. यात आता प्रसिद्ध बॉलीवूड अभिनेत्री एली आवराम हे नाव देखील सामील झालं आहे. एव्हाना बॉलीवूड मध्ये आपला चांगला जम बसवलेली एली ‘इलू इलू’ या मराठी चित्रपटाद्वारे मराठी सिनेसृष्टीत पदार्पण करणार आहे. 

फाळके फिल्म्स एण्टरटेन्मेंट प्रॉडक्शन आणि अजिंक्य बापू फाळके दिग्दर्शित ‘इलू इलू’ मनोरंजक लव्हस्टोरी ३१ जानेवारीला आपल्या भेटीला येत आहे.  या चित्रपटाचा रंगतदार टिझर एका शानदार सोहळ्यात प्रदर्शित करण्यात आला. चित्रपटातील ‘इलू इलू’ या रोमँटिक गाण्यावर बहारदार परफॉर्मन्स करत एली आवरामने उपस्थितांची मने जिंकली.

२०१३ मध्ये 'मिकी व्हायरस' या चित्रपटाद्वारे हिंदीत दाखल झालेल्या एलीनं आजवर 'किस किस को प्यार करूं', 'नाम शबाना', 'पोस्टर बॅाईज', 'बाझार', 'मलंग', 'कोई जाने ना', 'गुडबाय' या हिंदी चित्रपटांसोबतच तमिळ आणि कन्नड चित्रपटांमध्येही अभिनय केला आहे. 'इलू इलू' या मराठी चित्रपटात एली ‘मिस पिंटो’ या मुख्य भूमिकेत झळकणार आहे. पण हि व्यक्तिरेखा यशस्वीपणे साकारण्यासाठी एलीनं खूप मेहनत घेतली आहे. आपल्याला अवगत नसलेल्या भाषेतील चित्रपटातील मुख्य भूमिका तिनं मोठ्या धाडसानं आणि आत्मविश्वासानं साकारल्याचं चित्रपट पाहताना प्रेक्षकांना जाणवेल. 

मराठीत एन्ट्री करण्याबाबत एली म्हणाली की, ‘मला नेहमीच नवनवीन गोष्टी शिकायला आवडतात. स्वीडीश, हिंदी, तामिळ आणि कन्नड चित्रपटांनंतर 'इलू इलू' च्या निमित्तानं मराठी भाषेची गोडी चाखण्याची संधी मिळाली आहे. यातील कॅरेक्टर माझ्या आजवर साकारलेल्या व्यक्तीरेखांपेक्षा खूप वेगळं आहे. एका नव्या लुकमध्ये मी प्रेक्षकांसमोर येणार आहे. सुरुवातीला जेव्हा या चित्रपटाची ऑफर आली तेव्हा थोडं दडपण जाणवलं होतं, पण पटकथा आणि कॅरेक्टर समजल्यावर मराठीत एंट्री करण्यासाठी हीच अचूक संधी असल्याची जाणीव झाल्यानं होकार दिल्याचंही एली म्हणाली’. मराठमोळ्या रूपातील एलीला पाहण्यासाठी मराठी प्रेक्षकांसोबतच तिचे चाहतेही आतुरले आहेत.

‘इलू इलू’ चित्रपटाची कथा, पटकथा, संवाद नितीन विजय सुपेकर यांचे आहेत. निर्माते बाळासाहेब फाळके आणि हिंदवी फाळके तर सहनिर्माते यश मनोहर सणस आहेत.  छायांकन योगेश कोळी तर संकलन नितेश राठोड यांचे आहे. वैभव जोशी, वैभव देशमुख, प्रशांत मडपुवार यांच्या गीतांना अवधूत गुप्ते, ऋषिकेश रानडे, आर्या आंबेकर, रोहित राऊत, जनार्दन खंडाळकर यांचा स्वरसाज लाभला आहे. संगीत रोहित नागभिडे, विजय गवंडे  यांचे आहे. कलादिग्दर्शक योगेश इंगळे आहेत.

मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टीत पहिल्यांदाच मराठी चित्रपट नाट्यगृहात प्रदर्शित होणार आहे  आणि हा मान ‘हॅशटॅग तदेव लग्नम्’ या चित्रपटाला मिळाला आहे. या चित्रपटाचा भव्य प्रीमियर २० डिसेंबर २०२४ रोजी पुण्यातील यशवंतराव चव्हाण नाट्यगृह, कोथरूड येथे सायंकाळी ५ ते ८ या वेळेत होणार आहे. चित्रपटातील कलाकार सुबोध भावे आणि तेजश्री प्रधान यांच्या उपस्थितीत हा खास कार्यक्रम होणार असून या ऐतिहासिक प्रीमियरसाठी विनामूल्य प्रवेश असून नाट्यगृहातच तिकीट उपलब्ध होणार आहेत. 

‘हॅशटॅग तदेव लग्नम्’ हा चित्रपट लग्नसंस्थेवर आधारित असून, आधुनिक विचारसरणी यात प्रेक्षकांना पाहायला मिळेल. अथश्री आणि गायत्री ही दोन परस्परविरोधी स्वभावाची पात्रे एकमेकांना पहिल्यांदा भेटतात आणि त्यांच्या पहिल्या भेटीतून काही मजेदार काही भावनिक घटना घडतात. त्यांच्या विचारांच्या देवाण-घेवाणीतून काही रहस्ये देखील समोर येतात, ज्यामुळे कथा अधिक मनोरंजक बनते.

चित्रपटाचे लेखक आणि दिग्दर्शक आनंद दिलीप गोखले म्हणतात, “मराठी चित्रपटांना चित्रपटगृहांमध्ये नेहमीच मर्यादित स्क्रीन मिळतात, त्यामुळे आम्ही काहीतरी वेगळं करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला. नाट्यगृहात चित्रपट प्रदर्शित करणं हा एक आव्हानात्मक निर्णय आहे आणि हे आव्हान आम्ही पेललं आहे. या पद्धतीने आम्ही अधिक प्रेक्षकांपर्यंत पोहोचू आणि त्यांना एक नवा अनुभव देऊ शकू. नाट्यगृहातील या भव्य प्रीमियरसाठी आम्ही खूप उत्सुक आहोत. 

चित्रपटाचे निर्माते शेखर विठ्ठल मते म्हणतात हा चित्रपट प्रायोगिक तत्वावर असून पूर्वनियोजित नाटकांच्या खेळांना कोणत्याही प्रकारचा धक्का न लागू देता नाट्यगृहामध्ये मराठी चित्रपट प्रदर्शित करण्याचा हा एक प्रयत्न आहे. तसेच यामुळे मराठी रसिक प्रेक्षकांना मराठी चित्रपट व नाटक या दोन्हीचा आस्वाद एकाच ठिकाणी घेता येईल ’’

शुभम फिल्म प्रॉडक्शनचा ‘हॅशटॅग तदेव लग्नम्’ हा चित्रपट येत्या २० डिसेंबर रोजी चित्रपटगृहात प्रेक्षकांच्या भेटीला येणार आहे. या चित्रपताच्या  ट्रेलर आणि धमाकेदार गाण्यांनी रसिकवर्गाची मने जिंकली आहेत. अशातच चित्रपटातील आणखी एक भावनिक गाणे ‘जीवापाड जपतो’ नुकतेच प्रदर्शित करण्यात आले असून या गाण्याने थेट प्रेक्षकांच्या हृदयाला स्पर्श केला आहे.

Mumbai, December 17^th, 2024: This week, royalty collection agencies from the Asia-Pacific region convened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the annual CISAC and APMA conference. The event also marked a special milestone—the 35th anniversary of the Malaysian sister society, Music Authors’ Copyright Protection Berhad (#MACP).

 

To commemorate the occasion, Shri Javed Akhtar, Chairman of the Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (#IPRS), and Shri Rakesh Nigam, CEO of IPRS, presented the MACP Chairman with a stunning marble statue of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of learning and patron of arts and music. The gesture symbolized IPRS's dedication to fostering cultural bonds and honouring the shared artistic heritage of the region.

Gwalior, 12 December 2024: &TV’s Atal, which premiered in December last year, has earned widespread acclaim for portraying the formative years of one of India’s most iconic leaders, the late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Marking the show’s first anniversary, the lead actors Aayudh Bhanushali, who plays young Atal, and Neha Joshi, who essays the role of Krishna Devi Vajpayee, visited the legendary leader’s hometown, Gwalior. This remarkable initiative by &TV underscores its commitment to staying deeply connected to its audience.
