Actress Charu Kashyap shares her fitness routine

In an industry where actors are always aiming for six-pack abs and size zero body, Charu Kashyap has a different take on it. “I have a simple mantra -One must be comfortable with their body and should be fit”.
The actress says the secret behind her perfect body is not any crash diet but a combination of regular workouts and healthy eating
“I think ideally one should not reach a stage where you have to go on crash diets. Crash Diets are bad for your body. You need to be conscious on a daily basis. I feel workouts and healthy eating should be a part of everyone’s lifestyle”
Charu Kashyap is every girl’s envy on fashion and health front. If you think that the starlet must be depriving herself of delicacies, it’s completely wrong "For me, working out and eating healthy is a part of my lifestyle. I am careful about what and how much I eat but I do not deprive myself of anything. I don't indulge in crash diets for a particular shoot. I know people who eat in a crazy way and then suddenly they want a perfect body, and to achieve that they go on crash diets which takes a heavy toll on their body in the long term”

Charu believes that each person should spare an hour and dedicate that time to fitness “Everyone needs to enjoy their “me” time and working out is the best form of “me” time. You should workout depending on your likes. You must enjoy working out. Sports, Yoga, Gym all provide the same result if done regularly. I believe that you must never pressurize yourself in order to be a certain size, in fact, take things slow and steady. That provides the best results long term. It is not necessary that you need to splurge on expensive gyms or different forms of workouts. A simple one hour walk and basic exercises along with healthy eating should be practiced regularly in order to see the desired results”

“One must not come in peer pressure and aim for six-pack abs or a size zero figure. You should be fit and healthy. Thin is out. Fit is the new Sexy!!”

-"What any child in the world can learn, almost every child can learn if provided with the appropriate conditions of learning" says Tejaswani Prabhakar  from Sanskriti Arts & Narayan Iyer from IDF & Gurpreet Kaur Chadha of Punjabi Global Foundation.
Sanskriti Arts along with IDF & Punjabi Global Foundation celebrated Children's Day with 120 girls from 60 school who walked the ramp to spread a message on “Nurture the Nature” & Dignity Project.

Infact, it was a historic moment when three big NGOs- Sanskriti Arts, IDF & Punjabi Global Foundation came together to inculcate the importance of nature & menstrual hygiene among children & inspire them to help each other.

Children presented their talent in the form of a fashion show. The happiness of walking the ramp was accomplished with a feeling of philanthropy.
Children were dressed as their chosen theme & walked the ramp to showcase an important message.

These tiny magicians also supported a big cause- Dignity Project. The project is all about raising funds for young, less privileged girls. The sanitation needs of every girl / year = 500, the project will take care of 10,000 such girls and having the target of one million.

On World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2019 (28th May) IDF launched #MissionOneMillion under their Dignity Project to support one million girls and women across India for menstrual hygiene management throughout the year.  IDF Dignity Project is to create awareness about menstrual hygiene and provide sanitary pads/kit for a year to the needy students free of cost, to ensure that the needy students don't fall short of facilities to have a happy period.
Childhood Obesity

Spreading Awareness Against Childhood Obesity Through a Mega Drawing Competition Across Maharashtra!
The obesity time bomb is ticking for adults and children in India. Reportedly by 2025, India will have over 15 million obese children and may stand in second place among 184 countries.
Mumbai: Dr. Jayasshree Todkkar (Director, Maharashtra State Obesity & NCD Taskforce and Director, Service Projects – Medical, RCKP) states: Obesity raises the risk of non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular, kidney, respiratory diseases, and diabetes. Healthy habits like active exercising and a well- balanced diet can prevent or control these diseases. However, obesity has become a threat owing to poor awareness among the masses. The situation is serious and we need some aggressive mass-based efforts to deal with it.
Rotary Club of Koregaon Park, Pune (RCKP), known for undertaking various social issues, has come forward with an exceptional campaign for a healthier and obesity-free India. This year, RCKP along with its partner's Directorate of Health Services - State Govt. of Maharashtra, Navneet Foundation, and JT Foundation, have launched the second phase of the campaign against obesity to bring awareness of this malady through a unique drawing competition for students.
‘Fight Childhood Obesity – Drawing Competition 2019’ aims to reach maximum students in the schools across Maharashtra. The drawing competition will kick start on the occasion of Children’s Day - 14th November 2019 and continue till 30th November 2019, across all the schools of the state. It will give an excellent opportunity to the students to express their thoughts on A) Healthy Habits and B) Dangers of Obesity.

Dr. Sadhana Tayde, Director-Health Services m, State Family Welfare Bureau “Diabetes has become an epidemic in India. Every fourth person in India is a diabetic. Among the key risk factors, one factor responsible for causing diabetes is obesity or overweight. Overweight and obesity is the result of unhealthy food habits and physical inactivity and inclination towards tobacco and alcohol use. It’s a never-ending vicious cycle. India has its 21% population in the adolescent age group. This young India is also in the claws of Diabetes which fuels up with childhood obesity, unhealthy lifestyle, use of alcohol and tobacco. Diseases occurring in adulthood have their roots in unhealthy habits followed in childhood. So a child needs to be made aware of these risk factors and promote a healthy lifestyle.”
India’s Honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi had launched the ‘Fit India Movement’ recently on 19th August 2019 for a fitter and better India.
We are extremely proud to say that our Honorable Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi and Honorable Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Harsh Vardhan have acknowledged and endorsed our ‘Fight Childhood Obesity’ campaign with great enthusiasm.
