India’s first multi-designer store relaunches to offer a bigger and better fashion experience
Ensemble’s Executive Director, Tina Tahiliani-Parikh, welcomed guests to the relaunch of the brand’s expanded flagship store at Kala Ghoda, Mumbai.
India’s first multi-designer store first opened its doors in 1987 with a portfolio of five designers – Tarun Tahiliani; Rohit Khosla; Neil Bieff; Amaya and Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. With its pioneering vision to showcase Indian designer talents and craftsmen, Ensemble grew to create an impressive roster of prolific designer names.
Keeping in line with its philosophy, the store’s new avatar includes the debut of Anamika Khanna’s new men’s line, as well as an exclusive new Cruise collection by Monisha Jaising and special collections by Savio Jon, Payal Singhal, Payal Khandwala, Anand Kabra, and others. The store will host new sections of exclusive bridal-wear; contemporary; Indian luxe; accessories and menswear, alongside dedicated spaces for designers Anamika Khanna and Tarun Tahiliani. There is also a special focus on a curated selection of fabrics, handlooms and weaves, at the new store.
Sprawled over 10,000 sq ft in the historical Great Western Building (Est. 1715), the extension has been conceptualized by award-winning architect, Bijoy Jain, in association with Krupa Patel and Vinod Narkar.
Amongst those who arrived to congratulate Tina on this latest milestone were Alex and Namita Kuruvilla, Anil and Sabina Chopra, Mehr Jessia Rampal, Surily Goel, Manish Malhotra, Amit Aggarwal, Raghavendra Rathore, Sangita and Tarini Jindal, Gaurav and Pratima Bhatia, Malini Agarwal, Troy Costa, Nachiket Barve, Anushka Manchanda, Mozes Singh, Sheetal Mallar, AD and Sabina Singh, Ujjwala Raut, Lakshmi Menon, Payal Singhal, Shilpi Jatia, Nimish Shah, Lata Patel, Chhaya Momaya, Madhoo Shah, Ila Chatterjee, Anjali and Priya Gaekwad, Mansi Scott, Natasha Chib, Ashika and Gauri Pohoomul, Zeba Kohli, Pinky Reddy, Vikram Raizada and Pallavi Jaikishan, to name a few.
Guests were seen appreciating the works of designer labels such as Abraham & Thakore, Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Raghavendra Rathore, Sabyasachi, Payal Khandwala, Payal Singhal, Raw Mango, Savio Jon, Amit Aggarwal, Pankaj & Nidhi and Anushree Reddy, among others.
