Few years back, Shomu Mitra started her career as an actor and triumphed upon the heart of million with her craft. After years, Shomu Mitra is back to exploring her credentials as an actor and Project Designer in her forth coming film “Tez  Raftaar”

Film “Tez Raftaar” was offered to me as an actor says Shomu Mitra who has always maintained that she likes to explore new challenges “I had started my career as an actor. I have done a lot of films in Bollywood, Bengali and other regional cinema which has broadened my horizon and gave me opportunities to explore other aspects of cinema?”

When quizzed her about her role in the film, she said “This film was offered to me as an actor first but due to certain reasons I couldn’t play the character. The film is about sports and I have been a national level badminton player so the makers thought of me to be perfect to play the role”
