MP Gopal Shetty and Yogesh Lakhani of Bright Outdoor came for five charity event at Borivali West organised by MatoshrI Jayaben Himmatlal Shah Charitable Trust.
Believing in the "giving culture", MJHS has been organizing free distribution of grocery every month on the 1st of Sunday. Basic items usually get distributed to poor people of any cast and the trust has managed to help as many as 325 families with items like wheat, rice, pulses, edib le oil, ghee, tea. The main moto of this distribution is nobody should feel the pain of hunger. The trust also gives 'Ann Ahaar' every Saturday to more than 700 poor people at Shatabdi Hospital and Chikuwadi office, Borivali West.
Talking about this initiative Yogesh Lakhani says, "The trust was registered in 2007 and its been a while I have been associated with it. It's my way of giving back to the society and the nation that's given me so much." Adding more on the charity, Lakhani shares, "We are trying to touch lives of the people in need through all facets of their lives. So not only are we trying to feed the hungry but also educate the illiterates to help them stand on their feet."
MJHS not only has been supporting students by having given as many as 50,000 notebooks to 4,000 children but has also been helping with medical aide to the by giving free wheel chair, stool table, fouler bed, nemulizer, walkers on rent among many other things for the old age homes, senior citizens and cancer patients.
