काश्मिरी बिझनेसमन आणि मॉडेल असणारे मोहसिन अख्तर मीर यांच्यासाठी मराठमोळ्या पत्नीचा मराठी चित्रपट निर्मित करणे ही त्यांच्यासाठी नक्कीच खास बाब असेल. मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टीचे होणारे कौतुक पाहता, मोहसिन यांना मराठी चित्रपटाविषयीचे कुतूहल निर्माण झाले. त्यामुळे मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टीत निर्मितीविषयी काहीही अनुभव नसताना देखील मराठी मातीतील कथा, मराठी कलाकारांचे अभिनय कौशल्य आदी गोष्टींमुळे ‘माधुरी’ या चित्रपटाची निर्मिती करण्याचा त्यांनी निर्णय पक्का केला. मोहसिन अख्तर मीर यांना जशी मराठी चित्रपटाप्रती आवड आहे, त्याचप्रमाणे मुंबईविषयी देखील त्यांना आपुलकी आणि जिव्हाळा आहे हे त्यांच्या ‘मुंबापुरी प्रॉडक्शन हाऊस’ या नावावरुन लगेच कळून येते. कोणत्याही कामाला जेव्हा एक कलाकृती म्हणून सादर करायचे असते तेव्हा ‘स्पेशल कनेक्शन’गरजेचे असते आणि मोहसिन अख्तर मीर आणि मराठी चित्रपट-मुंबईमध्ये एक ‘स्पेशल कनेक्शन’ आहे त्यामुळे प्रेक्षकांना ‘माधुरी’च्या रुपातून एक सुंदर कलाकृती पाहायला मिळणार हे नक्की.
