एज नो बार… ‘सा रे ग म प’ बार बार!

‘सा रे ग म प’मधील एकेकाळच्या स्पर्धक त्यागराज खाडिलकरने दिली उत्स्फूर्त ऑडिशन

संगीताला कसल्याच मर्यादा नसतात- ना देशांच्या सरहद्दींच्या, ना वयाच्या. मराठी चित्रपटांतील पार्श्वगायक, संगीतकार आणि ‘सा रे ग म प’ या संगीतविषयक कार्यक्रमातील एकेकाळचा स्पर्धक त्यागराज खाडिलकर यालाही ही बाब लागू होते. त्यागराजने सुमारे 20 वर्षांपूर्वी एक स्पर्धक म्हणून ‘सा रे ग म प’मध्ये भाग घेतला होता. आता दोन दशकांनंतर तो पुन्हा एकदा या कार्यक्रमाच्या व्यासपिठावर उपस्थित होता आणि त्याच्या आवडीचे काम करीत होता- ते म्हणजे गाणे गाण्याचे!

विशेष म्हणजे, यावेळी तो आपली मुलगी राधिनी हिला सोबत घेऊन आला होता आणि ती या कार्यक्रमासाठी ऑडिशन देत होती. तो तिचा मार्गदर्शक आणि तिचा आधार म्हणून तिच्याजवळ होता. पण राधिनीच्या गाण्यानंतर त्यागराज जेव्हा व्यासपिठावर आला, तेव्हा कार्यक्रमाचा परीक्षक शेखर रावजियानी आणि ज्यूरी सदस्य पद्मा वाडकर यांनी त्याला तात्काळ ओळखले. त्याला पाहून या दोघांनाही मोठा आनंद झाला.

शेखर म्हणाला, “तू पूर्वी ‘सा रे ग म प’ कार्यक्रमात एक स्पर्धक म्हणून सहभागी झाला होतास आणि आता तुला पुन्हा एकदा या मंचावर पाहून खूप आनंद झाला. आज तू तुझ्या मुलीला आधार आणि पाठिंबा देण्यासाठी इथे आला असलास, तरी मी म्हणेन की तू पुन्हा एकदा या मंचावर येऊन गाणं गा आणि तू ऑडिशन देऊन तुझी इच्छा पूर्ण कर. यंदा या कार्यक्रमात सहभागी होण्यासाठी वयाची मर्यादा नाहीये आणि तुला या मंचावर पुन्हा एकदा गाताना पाहण्याची आमची सर्वांची इच्छा आहे.”  शेखरच्या या साध्या पण प्रेमळ सूचनेचा तात्काळ स्वीकार करून त्यागराजने मंचावर येऊन ‘ये जवानी है दीवानी’ हे सुपरहिट गाणे गायले! गाणे गातानाचा त्याचा उत्साह आणि आनंद हा अपूर्व होता आणि परीक्षकांपैकी एक वाजिद खान त्यामुळे प्रभावित झाला. त्याने त्यागराजच्या या चिरतरूण उत्साहाला सलाम केला आणि मंचावर येऊन त्याचे आभार मानले.

गुणी आणि उत्साही गायकांना गाण्याच्या क्षेत्रातील आपली कारकीर्द उभी करण्यास प्रोत्साहन देण्याचे काम केल्याबद्दल शेखर आणि वाजिद यांचे कौतुक करावे, तेवढे थोडेच ठरेल!

गायनकला शोध घेऊन गुणी गायकांना आपली कला सादर करण्याची संधी देणारा ‘झी टीव्ही’वरील ‘सा रे ग म प’ या भारतातील पहिल्या आणि प्रतिष्ठेच्या रिअॅलिटी कार्यक्रमाची नवी आवृत्ती गेल्या 13 ऑक्टोबरपासून प्रसारित होण्यास प्रारंभ झाला. देशाच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातून गुणी आणि दर्जेदार गायकांचा शोध घेऊन विविध शहरांमधून त्यांची श्रवणचाचणी (ऑडिशन) घेण्याची खडतर प्रक्रिया पार पडली असून आता या कार्यक्रमाच्या नव्या आवृत्तीचे दणक्यात प्रसारण होत आहे. येत्या वीकेण्डच्या भागात काही सुरेल आणि दर्जेदार आवाज ऐकून या कार्यक्रमाची झलक पाहण्याची संधी प्रेक्षकांना मिळेल. या स्पर्धेत अंतिम 15 स्पर्धकांमध्ये स्थान मिळविण्यासाठी आलेले विविध स्पर्धक आपल्या जोमदार आवाजाचा कस लावून प्रेक्षक आणि श्रोत्यांवर आपल्या आवाजाची मोहिनी टाकण्याचा प्रयत्न करतील.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’s ex-contestant, Tyagraj Khadilkar does an impromptu audition

Music has no limits, borders or age barriers. Well, this stands true for popular Marathi film industry singer and composer and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa yesteryear’s contestant, Tyagraj Khadilkar. He was spotted once again on this prestigious platform, almost two decades after his previous stint as a contestant,  doing what he loves doing the most – Singing!  

Incidentally, Tyagraj was accompanying his daughter, Radhini who was auditioning for the current season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He had come down as her guide and pillar of strength and support. But the moment he walked on to the stage after his daughter’s performance, judge Shekhar Ravjiani and the jury member, Padma Wadkar instantly recognized him and jumped with joy!

Commented Shekhar, “You have been a contestant of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in the past and it feels great to have you back on the stage. It’s great that you are supporting your daughter, but I would like to urge you to sing and take over the stage and audition for all of us and live your passion. This year there is no age limit and we would really like to see you perform once again on this stage.” This simple yet loving request from Shekhar moved Tyagraj so much that he immediately got on to the stage to perform on the evergreen super-hit song, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. His energy and enthusiasm were incomparable and enthralled everyone, especially the judge, Wajid Khan. He saluted his undying spirit and came up on the stage to thank him.

Kudos to Shekhar and Wajid for encouraging talented singers and urging them to pursue their passion in the field of music!

Mohit Chouhan and Priyanka Negi sang the romantic song for the film. Actress Kangna Sharma, Rushad Rana, Srijitaa Ghosh, Sejal Mandaviya, Shikha Chabra, Shrutika Gaonkar came to be part of mahurat  . Lyrics are written by Sanjeev Chaturvedi and Music composed by Kaashi Recharad. The shooting of the film will start from November.
