19th January, 2019 in Mumbai- Organised by Committee for Members in Industry and Business "12th ICAI’S Leaders And Business Excellence Awards" is an annual award ceremony which  identifies, recognizes & felicitates leaders who are doing exceptionally well in their functional fields.

These awards were instituted in 2007 and since then, the Committee has been successfully organizing it annually and have bestowed these highly revered awards to numerous achievers and have recognized members who have reached outstanding levels of achievements.

The awards are distributed in 5 main categories i.e. CA Achiever, CA CFO, CA Business Leaders, CA Innovator & CA Lifetime Achievement under various sub-categories at the glittering gala night.

ICAI Awards aims to acknowledge Chartered Accountants in industry who have demonstrated excellence in their working & created value to their company's stakeholders on a sustainable basis.

Award recipients are selected based on Nominations, Review of applications by CMI&B Secretariat, Auditors & Screening Committee & Selection of Awardee by high profile independent Jury panel. In 2018, the committee launched many platforms in order to explore the credentials of CAs & give them a platform to develop their ideas. 

Post launching a 24*7 “CA Job Portal” for world class Qualified CA community, the Committee has now launched a mobile application during mega event i.e. ICAI Business Forum to further expand the reach of the appreciated and successful CA Job Portal of ICAI and to enable the user to access portal from their mobile and perform various tasks quickly.  

In the recent past the committee had organized a “START-UP” SUMMIT” in June, 2018 which was attended by more than 400 participants with an objective to connect the start ups & the investors and with special focus on ideas and startups by CA's, provided a networking platform. 

The Committee had also launched a 15 sitter INCUBATION CENTRE in July, 2018 and handed over the keys to the Selected Start-ups of the members of the institute & provided them the basic infrastructure facility at Incubation Centre, ICAI Bhawan, BKC, Mumbai.

Morning Ragas, a special show featuring award-winning Hindustani classical singers is set to be held on 

Sunday, the 27th at sunrise, i.e., 6:00 AM Onwards. Besides, there is also a special community zones 

celebrating the original inhabitants of Mumbai –the ‘Kolis of Worli’.

Younger festival visitors are delighted with children’s activities and games at Fun Zone along with a zone

Trailer of the film 'Sarva Line Vyasta Aahet' presented by Amol Utekar, produced by Stellaria Studios and directed by Pradeep Raghunath Mestry has been recently published in the social media. From the trailer, the audience can make out that life can be a roller coaster ride if there is friendship, flirting, love and marriage.

In the film, Siddharth Jadhav plays the role of Babya and Saurabh Gokhale plays Sameer. While the girls appearing into Sameer's life are played by the actresses Sanskruti Balgude, Smita Shewale, Hemangi Kavi, Neetha Shetty-Salvi and  Rani Agarwal. Not only the trailer is awesomely entertaining, but also the quirky dialogues of the Gadbade Baba are enough to stretch the excitement of the audience. It's no doubt that the character of Gadbade Baba played by audience's beloved Mahesh Manjarekar will be a hit. The pretty actor Anangsha Biswas who was last seen in the bold and beautiful Ascharyachakit on Netflix is lined up with multiple projects. She will next be seen in Fraud Saiyyan.

Fraud Saiyaan has got an ensemble cast which has seasoned actors such as Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla. The remake of the song “Chamma Chamma has made the film a hot topic in town. We quizzed her about this and this is what she has to say, “Fraud Saiyyan is a very intelligent and funny film. I was overwhelmed to know that I would be sharing the screen with such fantastic actors and I couldn’t have asked for more. I really worked hard for my character in the film. The role that I essay is called as aastha. She is one of the wives of the main protagonist played by Arshad Warsi. Aastha is a small town and gullible girl who falls for Arshad and marries him. Arshad is really fun to be around and is also very humble while Saurabh Shukla sir is the nicest human. As a team, we had fun shooting in Bhopal. Now, I am eagerly waiting to see the audience reaction to this.” 

We quizzed her about her part in the film and this is what she has to say, “ I can't reveal much about my part but it's very entertaining and it's an important part in the narrative of the film.” We were all bewildered by her performance in the Netflix film Ascharyachakit and 2019 seems to be a very bright year for the pretty actor and with the kind of projects lined up, we couldn’t agree more. We wish her all the best and are really looking to see her on the big screen soon.
