In an exclusive press meet & greet Ranvir Shorey, Divya Dutta, Dakshata Patel, Anoop Wadhwa, Director Suhail Tatari, Akshat Maheshwari, Darshan Gurjar spoke about the film. 

Playing the father & mother in the film, the film showcases a father- mother- daughter relationship in midst of a savage gender disparity and depicted among the settings of the glorious game of tennis.

The role of the protoganist is played by Dakshata Patel, an India and Mumbai ranked tennis player herself but she amazed us all with her cinematic histrionics.

Majority of the film was shot in Faridabad while some significant portions were filmed at the historic DLTA Stadium.

A triumph of human spirit, a rendition of guts and blood, a tale of good Samaritans of Faridabad, story of a small town girl winning against odds, both personal and external. Tale of a girl tennis player who dares to liberate herself from the chains of her tennis obsessed Coach cum father , only to get trapped in the male dominated society of Haryana. Victim of her father's long standing animosity with the antagonist she emerges unscathed , accomplishing her stated goal of fetching redemption for her father.

Film will be released across theater nationwide on 29th March 2019.

कित्येक समित्यांनी शिगमो उत्सव रद्द केल्यानंतर अंतिम निर्णय सरकारतर्फे

पणजी, 23 मार्च – मुख्यमंत्री श्री. मनोहर पर्रीकर यांचे गेल्या आठवड्यात निधन झाल्यानंतर कित्येक मनपा कौन्सिल आणि शिगमो समित्यांनी उत्सव साजरा करण्याचे ठरवल्यानंतर राज्यात शिगमो साजरा करण्याविषयी राज्य सरकार अंतिम निर्णय घेणार आहे.

फोंडा, वास्को, क्वेपे, मडगाव, सांगवे, वाल्पोई आणि कंकोना सोडून बाकीच्या मनपा कौन्सिलने त्या त्या भागात शिगमो मिरवणूक व उत्सव रद्द केल्याचे अधिकृतपणे जाहीर केले आहे.

श्री. पर्रीकर यांच्या दुःखद निधनानंतर सरकारने राज्यात सात दिवसांचा दुखवटा जाहीर करत २१ ते २४ मार्चदरम्यानचा शिगमो उत्सव रद्द केला आहे.

आज पर्यटन विभागातर्फे माननीय पर्यटन सचिव श्री. जे. अशोक कुमार आणि पर्यटन संचालक श्री. संजीव गडकर यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली घेण्यात आलेल्या बैठकीत मनपा कौन्सिल आणि शिगमो समित्यांकडून त्यांच्या मनपा परिसरात शिगमो उत्सव साजरा करण्याविषयी अंतिम निर्णय जाहीर करण्याबद्दल सूचना मागण्यात आल्या होत्या.

ज्या मनपा कौन्सिलने शिगमो मिरवणूक व उत्सव साजरा करण्याचे ठरवले आहे, त्यांचा या संबंधित प्रस्ताव सरकारकडे अंतिम निर्णयासाठी पाठवणार असल्याचे श्री. कुमार यांनी सांगितले. त्याचबरोबर गोव्यातील निवडणुकांसंदर्भात आचारसंहिता लक्षात घेता निवणणूक आयोगाची मंजुरीही त्यासाठी आवश्यक आहे.

ज्या मनपा कौन्सिल्सने शिगमो साजरा न करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे, परंतु त्याच्या तयारीसाठी याआधीच पैसे खर्च केले आहेत, त्यांना पर्यटन सचिवांनी समित्यांनी सुचवल्याप्रमाणे संबंधित प्रतिनिधींनी नुकसानभरपाईसाठी जमाखर्च दाखल करण्यास सांगितले आहे.

त्याचप्रमाणे ज्या मनपा कौन्सिल्सने आपल्या परिसरात शिगमो मिरवणुकांचे आयोजन करण्याचा प्रस्ताव मांडला आहे त्यांना आचारसंहितेनुसार रात्री दहानंतर मिरवणूक सुरू न ठेवण्याचे व या संदर्भात पोलिसांना पूर्णपणे सहकार्य करण्याचे आवाहन केले आहे. 

ज्या मनपा कौन्सिल्सने आपल्या परिसरात शिगमो मिरवणुकांचे आयोजन करण्याचे ठरवले आहे त्यांनी एप्रिल महिन्यात गोव्यात होणाऱ्या निवडणुका लक्षात घेता आचारसंहितेचे पूर्णपणे पालन करण्याची विनंती पर्यटन सचिवांनी केली आहे.

अंदाजे सात मनपा परिसरातील शिगमो मिरवणुका सरकारी मंजुरीच्या प्रतीक्षेत आहेत – फोंडा (२८ मार्च), वास्को (२९ मार्च), क्वेपे (३० मार्च),  मडगाव, (३१ मार्च), सांगवे (१ एप्रिल), वाल्पोई (३ व ४ एप्रिल) आणि कंकोना (५ एप्रिल).
