Actors’ love for Desi-Licious ice cream!

Actors’ love for Desi-Licious ice cream!

Having a scoop of your favourite ice cream flavour can make you feel better. Everybody loves ice cream because it brings happiness to even the gloomiest days, whether hot or cold outside. It also stirs up wonderful memories from childhood, making us feel nostalgic. On National Ice Cream Day&TV artists talk about the ice cream flavours in their hometowns that are special and different and how these flavours represent their states. These include Aayudh Bhanushali (Krishna, Doosri Maa), Yogesh Tripathi (Daroga Happu Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Aayudh Bhanushali, aka Krishna from Doosri Maa, shares, “People in India enjoy the unique flavours and textures of malai ice cream. It's very popular in Gujarat and is one of my favourites too. Malai ice cream tastes much better and creamier than ice cream flavours from the West. We Gujaratis are like the flavour of malai - sweet, friendly, and genuine. Our personality is creamy and milky, with sweetness and hints of cardamom. Like the rich malai flavour, we add nuts and khoya to our personality. A famous saying called “Malai Marke” fits Gujaratis perfectly. It means we're always sweet and get things done nicely, no matter the situation (laughs). Malai ice cream's extravagant and amazing taste is right for our Indian taste buds. The best thing about the Malai flavour is that it will always be a classic. You can find it in kulfi, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, and floods.”

Yogesh Tripathi, aka Daroga Happu Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “I enjoy ice creams and keep trying new flavours. Recently, I tried this Paan flavour, and it made me think of my hometown, Uttar Pradesh. The taste of Paan ice cream took me back to Varanasi. It was delicious and had a traditional Indian taste. The Paan-flavored ice cream is made with betel leaves, and the smell is interesting. The ice cream has rich ingredients like mukhwas, coconut, aniseed, cardamom, and dried dates. Just like we are special with our unique qualities, an ice cream flavour also stands out with its extra topping, creating a delightful dessert. I am happy I tried this flavour because it has become one of my favourites. It's wonderful to see how these traditional flavours have become popular among people all over the world.” Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Ice cream is the only dessert that brings me happiness and pure joy. Indore is well-known for its traditional Indian sweets like Gulab Jamun, Ras Malai, and Rajbhog, and we Indoris particularly enjoy the Rajbhog flavour. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water imagining the combination of Rajbhog and ice cream. We have a royal and noble nature ingrained in us, and our lives are filled with various rich dry fruits, just like Rajbhog. Without a doubt, our personalities are a harmonious blend of cardamom, saffron, and a delicate touch of rose, all balanced together in creamy goodness. The elite and regal attitude of Indoris makes us stand out from the ordinary, much like Rajbhog among a bunch of ice cream flavours.”

So, treat yourself to your all-time favourite ice cream this National Ice Cream Day! It is the perfect occasion to indulge in a scoop of sheer delight and savour the sweet taste of nostalgia.

A splash of fun to texts with Emojis!

A splash of fun to texts with Emojis!

Emojis are the cool new-age language of feelings and expressions! From cute smiles to fiery frowns, these little icons have become our go-to way of expressing emotions. With each emoji holding its special meaning, we've replaced words with playful faces. No wonder we have become so hooked on these tiny digital wonders! On World Emoji Day&TV actors talk about their favorite emoticons and their impact on modern culture. These include Manisha Arora (Mahua, Doosri Maa), Gazal Sood (Kate Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai). Manisha Arora, aka Mahua from Doosri Maa, shares, “In the era of social media, conveying our emotions through emoticons has become enjoyable. These fun facial icons are a blessing for someone like me who prefers not to type lengthy messages. However, I remember a time when using emoticons wasn't as straightforward. I would send a jumble of emojis in a single reply, oblivious to their specific meanings, often leaving my friends confused and frustrated. Once, when my friends organized a group trip, I excitedly shared a mix of six or seven emojis, including laughter, tears, hearts, and sadness (laughs). They couldn’t decipher whether I wanted to join the trip or couldn't participate, resulting in disappointment. Initially, expressing myself through emojis was a challenge, but I gradually improved and now consider myself an expert.” If you browse through my chats, you'll notice that most of my emotions are conveyed through emojis. One of my favorites is the tears of joy emoji. As an emotional person, I tend to shed joy when I hear good news. However, it's important to use emojis responsibly. There was an occasion when I mistakenly sent the tears of joy emoji during a sad moment, prompting me to apologize and correct my mistake through text. That day, I realized the significance of using words appropriately, and I learned that emojis should be used with caution, depending on the situation and topic at hand.”

Gazal Sood, aka Kate Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Emojis have become deeply embedded in our culture, reaching even those who struggle with spelling. Take my mother, for example. Instead of typing out lengthy messages, she conveys her feelings through emojis that indicate she's not feeling well or is sad. Whenever I receive such emojis, I understand that she needs my presence and immediately call her. Similarly, when I long for her, I send a sad face emoji paired with a heart, and she knows I miss her dearly. These emoticons have transformed into a language of love for me. Among the various emojis, my favorite is the blush-on-cheeks emoji, which I use frequently. Its delightful appearance and warm essence make the recipient feel comfortable and welcome, so I use it often. Emojis have undeniably added visual charm to the world of texting, enhancing our communication experience.” Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I simply cannot communicate without emojis and gifs. I am very expressive and vibrant, so I prefer emojis to bring liveliness and engagement to my texts and discussions. Whether light-hearted or serious chat, emojis and gifs are a fun way to express and make the conversation lively. Among my cherished emojis is the heart eyes emoji. Its affectionate, cheerful, and exhilarating nature aligns perfectly with my belief that conversations should exude positivity and uplift the reader's spirits. Emojis can lighten the mood and remind us not to take life too seriously. Emojis have become an integral aspect of my existence in online communication, transforming conversations into a more playful and enjoyable experience. That's precisely why I hold such adoration for their usage.”
