Dhanteras par kis chiz ki hogi kharidari

Dhanteras par kis chiz ki hogi kharidari?

On the auspicious day of Dhanteras, people purchase new things as a mark of bringing good luck and prosperity. While discussing the significance of the day, &TV actors Mohit Dagga (Ashok, Doosri Maa), Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabhi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai) revealed what they intend to buy on this day. Mohit Dagga, aka Ashok from Doosri Maa, shares, “Dhanteras is a special occasion we celebrate with tradition and reverence in our household. We begin the day by cleaning our home before embarking on a shopping excursion. After our shopping spree, we perform a Dhanteras puja, following all the customary rituals. This year, I plan to join my wife and daughter in shopping to help them acquire new clothing and accessories for the upcoming Diwali festival. We also intend to buy a gold coin and a broom as these are considered auspicious for this special day. Growing up in Gadarwara, Madhya Pradesh, I fondly remember the excitement that Dhanteras used to bring. As a child, I would accompany my mother to bustling shops where she would not leave my hand for a second, and I used to keep demanding every second balloons or toys I used to see in the shop every day (laughs). But those moments were very special. Dhanteras teaches us an important lesson of appreciating the wealth bestowed upon us by the divine. However, I firmly believe that true wealth is the state of our health. On this auspicious occasion, let us all pray for one another and our families, seeking physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. I wish everyone a joyous Dhanteras.”

Himani Shivpuri, aka Katori Amma from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, "It is believed that Goddess Lakshmi visits the homes of her devotees on the day of Dhanteras. To welcome her, we light lamps and diyas and adorn the entrance of our home with rangoli. A special puja is performed in my home to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Dhanvantari for good health and prosperity. I prepare traditional sweets for the puja. Just like every year, I will purchase gold jewelry, decorative items for my house, and utensils, all of which are considered auspicious for the day. In addition to this, I will provide a small bonus to our household help and staff, who are our greatest support and take care of us like an extended family. For me, the true essence of the festival lies in the joy that comes from caring, sharing, and spreading happiness." Shubhangi Atre, aka Angoori Bhabi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “Dhanteras marks the beginning of Diwali and holds great significance for us. I fondly recall how our entire family used to go shopping for gold and silver items on that day. I prefer to make practical purchases that fulfill our needs, so this year, I intend to buy something in gold for my daughter, Ashi, such as a pair of earrings or an item she can use in the future. We will also have a puja at home, my daughter and I, to celebrate the occasion. One of my most cherished Dhanteras memories is when my mother gifted me a pair of earrings. I had been admiring a specific pair at our local jewelry store, and to my surprise, my mom gave them to me as a Dhanteras gift."

Watch Doosri Maa at 8:00 pm, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan at 10:00 pm, and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai at 10:30 pm, airing every Monday to Friday only on &TV!
