Mumbai Police Calendar 2020, lensed by ace photographer Pravin Talan, was launched by Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sh. Uddhav Thackeray along with legendary Bollywood superstar Dharmendra and Commissioner of Police, Mumbai Mr. Sanjay Barve, at the grand event Umang  in presence of the top Bollywood stars and families of policemen.

The highly coveted calendar has become a collector’s item over the years with its breath-taking visuals and rich emotions. It is widely regarded as a fine blend of art, action, and emotions. Launching ‘SHOUT’ – a voice-triggered complete safety feature by VAOO

Post the launch of the sensational VAOO app - taking the online cabs and digital ads a notch higher, Abhineet Pathak (CEO, VAOO) along with Kapil Dev (Brand Ambassador, VAOO) & Asha Devi (brave Nirbhaya's mother) will be launching a brand new feature ‘SHOUT’.

SHOUT is an in-app feature of the VAOO app. It enables users to ask for professional help in an apprehensive situation or an ambush immediately. All one has to do is to SHOUT (loud enough to be detected by the cell-phone) to trigger the rescue response. This is a voluntary service from VAOO.

The Inconvenient Truth
1. Presently no applications or services are quipped in tackling crimes in real-time.
2. Most people involved in the crime against women are repeat offenders & fearless from the system. This is mainly due to the fact that 95% of the cases are not reported.
3. Victims are reluctant to approach the legal/enforcement authorities for embarrassment or harassment.
4. Most instances of minor eve-teasing go un-reported encouraging perpetrators to engage in heinous crimes.

With SHOUT, VAOO takes control and initiative on each case. With a dedicated control room & team with a network of 20k+ cabs, VAOO ensures each case is reported & VAOO team tracks and rescues each victim.

The steps are as below:
ACTIVATE- Shout | Alarm| Notify. Users may ask for help from VAOO just by shouting. One may also ring a siren or notify silently by tapping on the SOS button.

ACTION- Track | Co-ordinate| Rescue. VAOO notifies and co-ordinates with the authorities & the user's family/friends. VAOO ensures the rescue of the victim by sending all the nearest VAOO cab(s) to the user's location.

ASSURE- Drop off | Confirm| Report. Once the user is rescued, VAOO cabs give him/her a ride home/hospital. All the data of the incidents under VAOO is available for the user.

‘SHOUT’ lists the reason why the feature is the safest for women under dangerous & non-conducive circumstances:

1. Our 20k strong cab network across Mumbai is tactically leveraged
2. Each case is reported. This will generate the fear of getting caught
3. Revealing the identity of the 'user' is subject to his/her discretion
4. The equipment (a cell-phone) and activity (to shout) to raise an alarm is accessible and pragmatic for everyone
5. One can avail of this feature even if they are in VAOO cabs or using VAOO services
6. All the pieces of evidence/recordings under VAOO will be freely available to the police/victim for reporting/proving the crime
7. The rescue action is immediate, effective and coordinated by a specially trained operators
8.  It's a voluntary service from VAOO Cabs.

Once the user is rescued, VAOO cab gives him/her a ride home/hospital. All the data of the incident under VAOO is available for the user's perusal.

27th January 2020 in Mumbai- Varadraj Swami, who has penned the critically acclaimed film Manjhi the mountain is all set to treat the audience with his next film "KABAAD- THE COIN".

"KABAAD- THE COIN" is the first film ever made on the historic Ram- Siya Coin. The team of "KABAAD- THE COIN" has explored a subject never featured before in Bollywood.

Playing a Ragman (Kabadi) in the film, Vivaan took 90 days to understand & adapt the nuances & play the role to his utmost perfection. Vivaan along with the director Varadraj Swami used to interact with Ragmen to get in the skin of his character. In fact, Vivaan invited his mother Ratna Pathak on the sets of the film to show her how he is shaping his character. Vivaan also tanned himself to look like the character.

Calling Vivaan a director's delight, Varadraj Swami said "Acting runes in his blood. He comes from a family of brilliant actors. It is commendable that so early in his career, he is eager to experiment with his roles & choose a character that explores his credentials as an actor. He is a director's delight. His ideology is rare & genius, just like his father"

Producers of the film Meena Negi, Babban Negi &  Co-Producers Deepak Prajapat, said "No one has ever made a film on the Ram- Siya Coin. It is lost in the pages of our history. The film explores the human emotions of greed & how it damages relationships & ruins lives" 

Known to pick unconventional storylines every time he signs a film, Vivaan Shah says "Trying to play a kabaadiwala was a fascinating process. We have all observed hatgadi pullers on the road in our everyday life, but to truly replicate the nuances, body language and cadences of a Ragman required some focussed study and observation. The way they pull the cart or the calls they send out across the streets in order to sell their wares. It is all very specific and needed to be replicated authentically" further adds "In these, I played a servant boy, a driver, a waiter and a Dalit respectively. I would say Kabaad- The Coin belongs to a similar category where it has a proletarian hero. I find that more interesting than playing a big city boy or a privileged person. The director Varadraj Swami and the writer Shahzad Ahmed were of invaluable help to me in trying to render true the nuances, speech, and practices of a kabaadiwala. Also what the three of us had fun with was the Bumbaiya language. I'm playing a Maharashtrian character called Bandhan and I just had a blast speaking in Bumbaiya because that is the language I have grown up speaking with my friends on the street. It's a vernacular I am deeply familiar with and hopefully, I have been able to represent it authentically in the film" 

"I love both realistic and slightly fantastic cinema. It was an immense challenge to play a character that was outside the realm of my experience and also from different strata of society. I've played a working-class character about 4 times now. In 7 Khoon Maaf, Bombay Velvet, Laali ki Shaadi Mein laddoo Deewana and Coat" says Vivaan Shah.

 27^th January 2020, Mumbai: "THE SECRET OF LIBERATION" authored by Devaseer E. Lankadieu and published by Partridge India, was launched at the Mumbai Press Club. The book is compiled by Lankadieu for the people who will enter into Dharma Yuga or Millennium. His main aim is to spread the unadulterated truth of the almighty and the “Gospel of the Supreme Sacrifice” all over the world.
