Director Maestro Mahesh Manjrekar’s next Marathi period drama ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ starring Akshay Kumar as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is produced by Vaseem Qureshi. The actor is all set to amaze his fans with his Marathi debut based on the story of Seven valiant warriors who had the sole aim of bringing Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of Swarajya to reality, writing one of the most glorious pages of history. The film is not just a story, not just a war cry, not just fireworks; it is the success story of the Hindavi Swarajya and the story of a glorious and selfless sacrifice like no other.

Director Mahesh Manjrekar, Producer Vaseem Qureshi and the star cast of ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’ had an exceptional mahurat shot event in Mumbai, the event was also attended by prosperous and respected dignitaries, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde and MNS Chief Shri Raj Thakeray.

Akshay Kumar who will be seen in the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film said, “It's a dream come true role for me. I think to portray Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the big screen is a very huge responsibility. I was taken aback when Raj sir asked me to portray this role. I feel so good to be playing this part and it's going to be a dream come true role for me. Also, I will be working for the first time with Director Mahesh Manjrekar, and it is going to be an experience.”


Director Mahesh V Manjrekar said, “Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is my dream project, I have been working on it for the past 7 years, it is a subject that needed that much attention and research. It is by far the biggest and grandest Marathi film to be made and with its release India-wide, I want people to know the story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the most powerful Hindu King. I am very fortunate to have Akshay Kumar on board to play the character of Shivaji Maharaj, I believe he’s perfect for the role”.

The film also has an ensemble cast consisting of Jay Dudhane, Utkarsha Shinde, Vishal Nikam, Virat Madke, Hardik Joshi, Satya, Akshay, Nawab Khan, and Praveen Tarde.

‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat’is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and Produced by Vaseem Qureshi - The film is a Qureshi Production presentation and is all set to release in cinemas on Diwali 2023 in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu.

Is a story of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s 7 warriors Pratap Rao Gujar, Jivaji Patil, Tulja Jamkar, Malhari Lokhande, Suryaji Dandkar, Chandraji Kothar, and Duttaji Paage, who fought the barbaric Bahlol Khan and his massive army which was appointed by Adil Shah to destroy Shivaji Maharaj and his dream of Swarajya. These 7 Mavlas, belonging to different backgrounds came together for one cause, to destroy Bahlol Khan and his intentions of capturing Sahyadri, they did whatever it took to fight bravely and relentlessly to serve the vision of their King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
