Renee Dhyani who plays Beauty in Yeh Teri Galiyaan said, “When I think of Independence Day, I remember my school days where we used to eagerly assemble in the grounds for the flag hoisting ceremony and sing the national anthem with immense pride. As I grew up, I understood the significance of freedom in its true sense and the valuable sacrifices that our freedom fighters have made to liberate our nation.  I would like to wish all my fans a very Happy Independence Day and urge them to contribute in their own small ways towards the betterment of the country.”

Vrushika Mehta who plays Puchki in Yeh Teri Galiyaan said, “I always enjoy watching patriotic films as they teach us a lot about our history and the significance of Independence Day. We are indeed lucky to have freedom of thought, speech and expression and must value and respect it. Arjit Taneja who plays Vivaan in Kaleerein said, “As good citizens of our country, we must not take the freedom we have earned for granted and learn to respect it. We are believed to be a free nation but there are many factors like corruption, dowry, female feticide, domestic violence etc that are still shrouding our society and not allowing us to be truly free. These issues must be addressed in order for our nation to progress. This Independence Day, let’s all take an oath to stand by each other and brighten up our lives with love and positivity.”

Karan Vohra who plays Shaurya in Zindagi Ki Mehek said, “Independence Day is a day to celebrate Freedom. Every colour in our national flag has its own meaning and relevance to it. Saffron stands for strength and courage, white stands for peace, and green stands for fertility and growth. We all should apply this in our life and make sure nobody tries to affect us in any way. We should all take pride in the country we live in and be protect it till our last breath.”

Adnan Khan who plays Kabir in Zee TV’s Ishq Subhan Allah said’, “I believe that Independence Day is a very important day in Indian history and we must understand the significance of this day and value every bit of it. Though we are free as a nation, there are times where women are still told what to wear and what to do, there is still inequality, female feticide, dowry system and many other such social shackles which we as a nation need to break and rise above, and until that changes, I don’t think we have truly achieved our freedom. Everyone has the right to lead their life the way they want, and we must respect that. स्वातंत्र्यदिनाच्या पूर्वसंध्येला ‘झी टीव्ही’वरील नामवंत कलाकारांनी भारताच्या भावी प्रगतीवर केले भाष्य!

‘ये तेरी गलियाँ’मध्ये ब्युटीची व्यक्तिरेखा साकारणारी रेनी ध्यानी म्हणाली, “स्वातंत्र्यदिन म्हटला की मला माझे शाळेतील दिवस आठवतात. त्या दिवशी आम्ही सर्व विद्यार्थी शाळेच्या पटांगणात आतुरतेने झेंडावंदनाची प्रतीक्षा करीत असू आणि त्यानंतर राष्ट्रगीत गात असू. ते गाताना आमचं मन अभिमानाने भरून येत असे. मी मोठी झाले, तसं मला स्वातंत्र्याचा खरा अर्थ कळला आणि आपल्या देशाला पारतंत्र्यातून मुक्त करण्यासाठी स्वातंत्र्यसैनिकांनी केलेल्या बलिदानाचं महत्त्व कळलं. माझ्या सर्व चाहत्यांना माझ्या स्वातंत्र्यदिनाच्या शुभेच्छा आणि देशात सुधारणा करण्यासाठी त्यांनी आपल्या परीने हातभार लावावा, असं मी त्यांना आवाहन करते.”

‘ये तेरी गलियाँ’मध्ये पुचकीची व्यक्तिरेखा साकारणारी वृशिका मेहता  म्हणाली, “मला देशभक्तीपर चित्रपट पाहण्यास फार आवडतात कारण ते आपल्याला आपल्या देशाच्या इतिहासाबद्दल बरंच काही शिकवतात आणि स्वातंत्र्यदिनाचं महत्त्व काय, तेही सूचित करतात. विचार, उच्चार आणि अभिव्यक्तीचं स्वातंत्र्य मिळाल्यामुळे आपण खरोखरच स्वत:ला सुदैवी मानलं पाहिजे आणि या स्वातंत्र्याचा आदर केला पाहिजे. यंदाच्या स्वातंत्र्यदिनी या कष्टाने मिळविलेल्या स्वातंत्र्याचा आणि शांततेचा आपण सर्वांनी आनंद घेऊया.”

‘ये तेरी गलियाँ’मध्ये शंतनूची व्यक्तिरेखा साकारणारी मनीष गोपलाणी  म्हणाला, “मी भारतीय असल्याचा मला अभिमान वाटतो आणि ज्यांनी हे स्वातंत्र्य मिळविण्यासाठी आपल्या जिवाचं बलिदान दिलं, त्या सर्वांना माझा मानाचा मुजरा. देशाचे नागरिक म्हणून आपल्याला मिळालेल्या अधिकारांचा वापर करताना आपण त्यासोबत जोडलेल्या नियम आणि बंधनांचंही पालन केलं पाहिजे, तरच देशात शांतता नांदू शकेल. तसंच आपला देश आणि त्यातील लोकांची प्रगती आणि कल्याणासाठी आपण सर्वांनी काम केलं पाहिजे. यंदाच्या स्वातंत्र्यदिनी या स्वातंत्र्याचा आनंद घेतानाच आपण शांतता आणि सलोख्याने राहण्याची शपथही घेतली पाहिजे. जय हिंद!”

‘कलीरें’मध्ये मीराची भूमिका रंगविणारी आदिती शर्मा म्हणाली, “आपल्याला निवड करण्याचा पर्याय उपलब्ध असून या स्वातंत्र्याचं महत्त्व मी वैयक्तिक स्तरावर खूप मोठं मानते. एक राष्ट्र म्हणून आपण प्रगती केली आहे, पण समाजातील अनेक अनैतिक आणि अन्याय्य प्रथा आणि रूढी यांचा शेवट करण्यासाठी आपल्यला वैयक्तिक स्तरावर काम करण्याची गरज आहे. त्या जेव्हा नष्ट होतील, तेव्हाच आपण स्वातंत्र्याचा खर्‍्या अर्थाने आनंद घेऊ शकू. सर्वांना माझ्यातर्फे स्वातंत्र्यदिनाच्या शुभेच्छा!”

‘कलीरें’मध्ये विवानची भूमिका साकारणारा अरिजित तनेजा म्हणाला, “या देशाचे नागरिक असलो, तरी प्रचंड कष्टाने मिळविलेलं हे स्वातंत्र्य आपण गृहित धरता कामा नये आणि त्याचा आदर करण्यास आपण शिकलं पाहिजे. आपला देश स्वतंत्र असला, तरी अजूनही भ्रष्टाचार, हुंडा, स्त्रीभ्रूण हत्या, कौटुंबिक हिंसाचार  यासारख्या कुप्रथा समाजाला ग्रहण लावीत असून त्यामुळे स्वातंत्र्याचा खर्‍्या अर्थाने आनंद घेता येत नाही. आपल्या देशाला प्रगती करायची असेल, तर या समस्या आपल्याला नष्ट केल्या पाहिजेत. येत्या स्वातंत्र्यदिनी एकमेकांना साथ देण्याची आणि प्रेम आणि विधायक कामाने आपले जीवन उजळून टाकण्याची शपथ आपण घेऊया.”

‘झिंदगी की महेक’मध्ये शौर्यची भूमिका रंगविणारा करण व्होरा म्हणतो, “स्वातंत्र्यदिन हा देशाचं स्वातंत्र्य साजरा करण्याचा दिवस आहे. आपल्या तिरंग्यातील प्रत्येक रंगाला एक अर्थ असून ते रंग तिथे का आहेत, याचं एक कारण आहे. भगवा हा ताकद आणि त्यागाचं प्रतीक असून पांढरा रंग शांततेचं प्रतीक आहे. हिरवा रंग विकास आणि सुपीकतेचं प्रतीक आहे. या सर्व रंगांच्या प्रतीकांचं आपल्या जीवनात प्रतिबिंब पडलं पाहिजे आणि त्याद्वारे आपल्याकडे कोणीही वाकड्या नजरेनं पाहू शकणार नाही, याची काळजी घेतली पाहिजे. ज्या देशात आपण राहतो त्याबद्दल आपल्याला अभिमान वाटला पाहिजे आणि आपल्या अखेरच्या श्वासापर्यंत आपण त्याचं रक्षण केलं पाहिजे.”

‘इश्क सुभान अल्ला’मध्ये कबीरची भूमिका साकारणारा अदनान खान म्हणाला, “भारताच्या इतिहासात स्वातंत्र्यदिनाचं ऐतिहासिक महत्त्व असून त्याचं महत्त्व काय ते आपण जाणून घेतलं पाहिजे. एक देश म्हणून जरी आपण स्वतंत्र असलो, तरी आजही आपल्या देशातील महिलांना त्यांनी कोणते कपडे घातले पाहिजेत आणि त्यांनी काय कलं पाहिजे या गोष्टी सांगितल्या जातात. आपल्या समाजात आजही असमानता, स्त्रीभ्रूणहत्या, हुंडा तसंच आणखीही अनेक वाईट प्रथा असून एक स्वतंत्र देश या नात्याने आपण या कुप्रथांच्या शृंखला तोडून वर गेलं पाहिजे. हे जोपर्यंत होत नाही, तोपर्यंत आपण खरं स्वातंत्र्य मिळविलं आहे, असं म्हणता येणार नाही. आपलं आयुष्य कसं जगायचं हे ठरविण्याचा अधिकार प्रत्येकाला असून आपण त्याचा आदर केला पाहिजे. आपण आपली प्रगती बुध्दिमान केली पाहिजे आणि स्वातंत्र्यसैनिकांनी केलेल्या त्यागाचा आदर राखला पाहिजे. शेवटी माझ्याकडून सर्वांना स्वातंत्र्यदिनाच्या हार्दिक शुभेच्छा!”

‘इंडियाज बेस्ट ड्रामेबाझ’चा सूत्रसंचालक शंतनू माहेश्वरी म्हणतो, “शाळेत असताना माझ्यासाठी स्वातंत्र्यदिन म्हणजे केवळ एक सुटीचा दिवस होता आणि मी तो दिवसभर खेलून आणि मजा करून व्यतीत करीत असे. मोठा झाल्यावर मला नृत्याच्या स्पर्धेत भारताचं प्रतिनिधित्त्व करण्याची संधी मिळाली आणि मग माझा सारा दृष्टिकोनच पालटला. आपला देश स्वतंत्र आहे, या गोष्टीचं मोल आपण जाणलं पाहिजे. हा देश स्वतंत्र करण्यासाठी स्वातंत्र्यसैनिकांना अपरिमित संघर्ष आणि प्रयत्न करावा लागला होता आणि स्वातंत्र्यदिन त्यालाच समर्पित असतो. माझ्या सोसायटीत जो झेंडावंदनाचा कार्यक्रम होतो, त्याची यंदा मला उत्सुकता लागली आहे. शेवटी सर्वांना माझ्याकडून स्वातंत्र्यदिनाच्या शुभेच्छा आणि आपलं पर्यावरण आणि परिसर स्वच्छ ठेवण्याचं आवाहन मी सर्वांना करतो.”

‘इंडियाज बेस्ट ड्रामेबाझ’चा परीक्षक उमंगकुमार म्हणतो, “समाजातील मूठभर हितसंबंधियांच्या नव्हे, तर जास्तीत जास्त लोकांच्या हितासाठी काम करणं म्हणजेच खरं स्वातंत्र्य. आज आपण ज्या स्वातंत्र्यचा अनुभव घेत आहोत, ते आपल्याला आपल्या बहादुर सैनिकांनी आणि स्वातंत्र्यसैनिकांनी केलेल्या असीम त्याग आणि संघर्षामुळे मिळालं आहे, ही गोष्ट आपण लक्षात ठेवली पाहिजे. आता भावी पिढ्यांना एक समृध्द आणि उज्ज्वल भवितव्य देण्यासाठी आपण या स्वातंत्र्याचा उपयोग केला पाहिजे.”

Mumbai: On the Occasion of 72nd Independence Day, Sumit Khetan an award winning choreographer is paying a tribute to the unsung heroes. Mr. Khetan is coming up with a new dance video featuring underprivileged kids from different states of India who are trained under his Dance Education Program. Under this program, kids obtain dance training and accommodation for one year at no cost along with an opportunity to work with the professionals.

On this occasion, our very own celebrities and socialites also gathered at Aksa Beach to encourage these kids. Mrs. Asia Naavnidhi K. Wadhwa, Music Producer Meghdeep Bose,  Singer Brijesh Shandilya attended this event.

The Event kicked off with flag hosting in presence of B-town celebs and Socialites. DEP students delivered a smashing performance depicting various facets of our glorious freedom struggle. When asked what Independence Day meant to Sumit Khetan he added instantly “Independence means live and let live. India is a secular country where everyone has equal rights to get opportunities in their lives. I have made a choice to give my best and encourage these students to follow their dreams. I appeal to all of you to play your part as responsible citizens and help the deserving ones to take their first step.” 

When asked Mrs.Naavnidhi K. Wadhwa about her thoughts this Independence Day she added “Let us thank the heroes who have sacrificed their lives so that we can breathe in free India. The greatest gifts we got from our freedom fighters are the wings of independence and the roots of responsibility. So, let’s follow the legacy and do our bit to make India a better place.”

Music Producer Meghdeep Bose expressed his thoughts, “Independence Day is an occasion to celebrate and to remember the struggles of those who fought to give us this gift. We should be responsible to our country for not just one day; it’s about consistently attempting to do your bit for society.”
