MUMBAI, India (Oct. 18, 2018) – Nissan today unveiled the progressive design of the most awaited SUV in India. The NEW Nissan KICKS sports a unique wider and robust style underlined by a Dynamic Sonic Plus line, Wheel-oriented Stance and a Distinctive 3-dimensional presence. The body is designed and built with GRAPHENE (Gravity-philic Energy Absorption) Body Structure, which has inherent capability to absorb impact energy making the NEW NISSAN Kicks Stronger, Safer and Durable on Indian roads.

The NEW KICKS offers a host of established design signatures and features e.g. Floating Roof Design created by blacked out pillars with Stylish Roof Rail and Signature LED DRL, Shark Fin Antenna, Front Fog Lamps and Door Mounted ORVS with Indicators. The bold V-motion grille, a signature motif in Nissan’s design language adds to NEW KICKS’ distinctive presence. The uniquely designed headlamps and tail lights feature iconic boomerang-shaped LED signature lamps to add character.

The powerful, wheel-oriented stance is further enhanced by R17, 5 spoke machined-alloy wheels. The bold styling with dynamic stance and glamorous fender arch bring out the solidity and elegance in the NEW KICKS, while substantial face and back style provide a masculine and rugged presence on the Indian roads.

The Diary On The Fifth Floor by Raisha Lalwani.

 Having lived in Bombay, Jaipur, Delhi & Dubai, life has been one long travel tale!

I went to a bunch of schools in different cities and most of my experiences, friends and memories revolve around these cities. After having graduated from The University of Delhi, I decided to test the waters of International Business.  When I started writing, it was without any distinct goal in mind. Some write for money, others as a hobby, I write for the peace and quiet it brings me. Writing was how I could express myself and it has made me braver than I thought I could be.

 It is funny how ‘nocturnal’ was the first word that came to my mind when I thought about who I am. Whether it was studying for my Board exams back in 2004 or working on my book all these years later, I feel my mind is more active during the later hours of the evening. Like my husband says, I am a ‘homemaker by day and a writer by night.’

 Well, it was time to address ‘the elephant in the room.’
The Diary on the Fifth Floor is not just a story about a girl dealing with her issues.  This book is about our society and how we are all going through similar experiences. The book is about the lack of emotions in our everyday interactions. It is about our inability to emote and express ourselves. We hear stories from friends and family, from our neighbours. They aren't pleasant so we express our sympathy and then forget about them. Writing gave me an emotional outlet to express these deep-seated feelings of our everyday struggle, of our joys, of our loneliness and our longings

The Diary on the Fifth Floor is a fascinating tale of a 25-year-old woman that takes hold of us from the moment she enters the hospital; more precisely, the fifth floor. Visibly terrified, she clutches at her cloth bound Diary, caught in the horns of a terrible dilemma - whether or not to hand over the diary to the doctor. She fears that she will be declared insane if her tangled web of thoughts, unspooling in dark mysterious stories is read by the dissecting eye of a doctor.

What does this diary contain?
As the novel progresses, we are drawn into characters and stories that are toe curling, strange and haunting in their raw intensity. What is the story of this woman? What secrets lie in the pages of her Diary? What happens on the fifth floor?

The book revolves around one single question. It is not asked upfront but has been sent out in the void and resurfaces at the end of every chapter,

उमैद भवन पॅलेस, जोधपूर २६ एकर पसरलेल्या हिरव्यागार उद्यानांमधील उमैद भवन प्रासाद हा जगातील सर्वांत मोठ्या खासगी निवासांपैकी एक आहे. वाळवंटाची राजधानी जोधपूरमध्ये काहीशा उंचीवर विसावलेला हा राजवाडा म्हणजे अत्युत्कृष्ट आरामाचे उदाहरण ठरावे. १९२८ ते १९४२ या कालावधीत बांधून पूर्ण झालेल्या या प्रासादाची रचना एडवर्डियन आर्किटेक्ट हेन्री लँचेस्टर यांनी केली होती. १५ वर्षांच्या बांधकामातून आकाराला आलेला हा राजवाडा पौर्वात्य व पाश्चिमात्य स्थापत्यशास्त्राचा मिलाफ आहे. ३४७ खोल्यांचा हा प्रासाद जोधपूरमधील राजघराण्याचे प्रमुख निवासस्थान होता. श्वास रोखून धरायला लावणाऱ्या चित्रांनी सुशोभित अशा या राजवाड्यात रचनेची अनेक वैशिष्ट्ये बघायला मिळतात. उदाहरणार्थ, गुलाबी संगमरवराच्या एका तुकड्यातून तयार करण्यात आलेला स्टीफन नोरब्लिन बाथ. महाराणी दालनाच्या न्हाणीघरातील ही रचना प्रासादाच्या अभिमानाचे स्थळ आहे. गेल्या अनेक युगांतील जोधपूरची ओळख करून घेण्यासाठी राजेशाही शोधाच्या प्रवासाला हे हॉटेल पाहुण्यांना घेऊन जाते.

Jash from USA is trained in Hindustani classical music under Guruji Surendra Kathulla. She has attended workshops with Kavita Krishnamurthy and considers her as an important influence in her musical journey. She lends the right candid stupor to the song  with her semi-husky vocal texture. The song is written by Syed Gulrez and composed by eminent composer Abhishek Ray of Paan Singh Tomar, Saheb Biwi aur Gangster etc fame. Zee Music Company has released the audio of this single.
