“Dancing to Glory” - Vaishali Sagar makes India Proud wins Dance competition in Istanbul 

Mumbai : Indian Folk Dance received its due glory when famous choreographer Ms.Vaishali Sagar won an international dance competition in Istanbul and made the country proud. Ms.Vaishali Sagar has done her masters in Indian Folk Dance under the guidance of Guru Rooma Banerjee and Shri Prashant Baflekar. Currently she is running Kalanjay Dance Academy which has a strength of 600 students. She also represents India at the FIDAF (federation of international dance festival) based in South Korea and has won various accolades for India in biggest folk dance competition in Asia ''The Cheonan International Dance Festival''.Vaishali has also represented India in various international folk dance festivals based in Italy, Austria, Turkey, Greece, Germany, Bulgaria and Czech Repulic.

Vaishali Sagar when asked about the achievement said, “Dance for many is a hobby, but to me it has been a passion, a never ending zeal that drives me and gives me ultimate happiness. It was an exhilarating moment when Indian folk dance was recognized with the winning trophy at the Istanbul Dance Competition, it always gives you immense pride when your hard work is recognized. My sole aim is now to get Indian folk dance highlighted and recognized at various other International platform”.

Bollywood Superstar  Hrtithik Roshan says "Folk Dancing is something which is very close to my heart and by wining this festival, Vaishali has made me so proud and i'am so happy to say that shes the torch bearer of taking our very own folk dance to different places in the world".

Vaishali Sagar holds a Masters in Indian Folk Dancing. Ranu Mandol was recently spotted on Kolkata’s Railway station singing Lata Mangeshkar’s famous song ‘Pyaar Ka Nagmaa’ just like the legendary singer herself and the video went viral. He advised me to help that person grow his/her talent. Today, I met Ranuji and I feel that she is blessed with divinity. Her singing was mesmerizing and I could not stop myself from offering her the best I could. She also learnt the tune on the sets live and she will record the track  today and the song is titled “Teri meri Kahaani .

Kranti Redkar who painted the town red with her ‘Kombdi Palali’ song years ago which turned into ‘Chikni Chameli’ for Katrina Kaif has now landed on Akshay Bardapurkar’s ‘Planet T’ even before ‘Chandrayan-2’ has landed on the moon.

After Amruta Khanvilkar who joined hands with Bardapurkar for ‘Planet T’, Redkar is the second Marathi and Bollywood actress to set foot on the platform.

For those who landed late, ‘Planet T’ is an agency that will provide talent from Marathi and Bollywood industries to the burgeoning demand for content for films, television, and the digital platforms apart from events and ribbon cuttings.

It’s known that this gorgeous actress, who is a mother of twins and wife of a decorated IRS officer, is also a writer and a director, now she wants to expand her horizons.

“Kranti is one of the finest actresses Marathi industry has been benefited from and I am privileged to have her on board. We are sure to create some Kranti together”, says Akshay Bardapurkar.

We’re not in fashion anymore, we’re in waste management!” proclaims responsible fashion activist Evelyn sharma

Bollywood actress and responsible fashion activist Evelyn Sharma was invited as the keynote speaker at the “Responsible Fashion Summit” in Sri Lanka earlier this month. The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actress, who happens to hold the ideals of sustainable fashion very close to her heart, wants people to change the way they shop and how they see their own wardrobes. 

Sustainable fashion has more recently created a huge ripple in the fashion industry with many Bollywood celebrities pledging their allegiance to this movement of fashion for a cause. However, the definitions of “sustainable fashion” vary a lot. When asked what this term means to her, Evelyn’s answer was clear: “I believe giving your clothes a long life is what creates sustainability. It starts with conscious decisions while shopping and ends with giving your clothes away to someone else. Buy clothes that will outlive you and don’t let them spoil in your own closet when you’re done with them.”

As a trailblazer of the sustainable fashion movement in India and with strong convictions about creating awareness for second hand clothing, Evelyn started her very own charity foundation called Seams For Dreams in 2015, an organization that accepts clothing donations and after segregating the items, distributes them to the less resourced communities across India.

It was because of her work with Seams For Dreams that the lovely actress was invited to be the keynote speaker at the Colombo event, where similar thought leaders in the areas of fashion and sustainability from all around the world like Patrick Duffy founder of GFX, Dr Amanda Parkes Chief Innovation Officer at the Future Tech Lab, Alfredo Orobio founder of Away To Mars, and Camilla Fitz-Patrick of VOGUE Arabia were gathered to discuss tangible solutions to one of the world’s most pertinent environmental issues: the immense accumulation of fabric waste - and how to reduce it! “We’re not in fashion anymore, we’re in waste management!” proclaimed Evelyn Sharma in an interview at the summit.

Evelyn took the stage to speak about her personal awareness efforts as a public influencer towards sustainability in India, and also to highlight the importance of Sri Lanka’s role in the global fashion industry. She says her fashion mantra is “timeless over trendy, quality over quantity” and adds: “Why not use what we already have to create new things? Reuse, recycle, upcycle! Fast fashion as we know it is dead. I really believe we are at the cusp of a fashion revolution and this is just the beginning of a more responsible approach to our planet. I’m excited to be a part of this new wave in fashion!”

Many were glad to see our Bollywood fashion philanthropist represent India in Sri Lanka. This platform of the “Responsible Fashion Summit” at Colombo Fashion Week is meant to empower nations on a final scale to create more responsible supply chains. And while many actors support the cause publicly, their private lives look very different. Evelyn is known for shopping second hand and for having a minimalist wardrobe of her own. She was also recently announced as the face of the Slow Fashion Season by the Dutch initiative to create a movement to shop less.

And once again she will be seen supporting the cause of sustainability at Lakme Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2019, taking the ramp for upcycle label I Was A Saree. On the Bollywood front, we will see her next in Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer “Saaho”, which is all set to release on the 30th of August.

अभिनेत्री शिवानी सुर्वे बिग बॉस मराठीच्या दूस-या पर्वातली सर्वाधिक स्ट्राँग स्पर्धक आहे, हे पहिल्या दिवसापासून दिसत होतेच. तिच गोष्ट तेराव्या आठवड्यातही पून्हा एकदा अधोरेखीत झालीय. बिग बॉसच्या घरात आलेल्या नऊपैकी पाच स्पर्धकांनी शिवानी सुर्वेला ‘टिकिट टू फिनाले’ दिले आहे.

बाप्पा जोशी, दिगंबर नाईक, सुरेखा पुणेकर, रूपाली भोसले, माधव देवचके ह्या पाच स्पर्धकांना शिवानी सुर्वे स्ट्राँग स्पर्धक वाटत असल्याचे दिसून आले आहे. दिगंबर नाईक ह्यांनी शिवानीला टिकिट टू फिनाले देताना म्हटले, “बिग बॉसच्या घरात शेवटपर्यंत जाण्यासाठी जसे खेळायला हवे. तसेच शिवानी तू खेळत आहेस. तू एक स्ट्राँग कंटेस्टंट आहेस. तू खूप छान खेळत आहेस.”

तर रूपाली भोसले शिवानीविषयी म्हणाली, “काही कारणामूळे शिवानी बाहेर गेली. पण सर्व गोष्टींवर मात करून ती परत आली, आणि परतल्यावर ज्या स्ट्राँग पध्दतीने ती खेळतेय. मला खरंच आवडतंय.”

The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid sets an unusual lap record

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid has demonstrated its exceptional range of on-road and off-road performance with a very special “record”.

As part of a film shoot, the most powerful Cayenne ever clocked a hand-stopped time of 3:51 minutes around the Swedish Gotland Ring, which is still under construction and partly unasphalted. The hybrid SUV ran on used road tyres and was driven by the German racing driver and TV presenter Tim Schrick. While the 3.2-kilometre northern section of the Gotland Ring is already asphalted and in operation, the 4.2-kilometre southern section is still only gravel.

The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid draws its system output of 500 kW (680 PS; fuel consumption combined 3.9–3.7 l/100 km, electricity consumption 19.6–18.7 kWh/100 km, CO2 emissions combined 90–85 g/km) from the intelligent interaction of a four-litre V8 engine (404 kW/550 PS) and an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission (100 kW/136 PS). The maximum system torque of 900 Nm is available from just above idle. The model accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 295 km/h. This exceptional performance is matched by a high level of efficiency: the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid can drive for up to 40 kilometres with zero local emissions. The average NEDC consumption is 3.9–3.7 l/100 km (fuel) and 19.6–18.7 kWh/100 km (electric).

Sporty with hybrid drive

Like all Porsche plug-in hybrids, the new top-of-the-range model in the Cayenne family is also one of the sportiest vehicles in the premium segment – not in spite of its hybrid powertrain but because of it. In the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, the electric motor is located between the V8 engine and the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. The two motors are interconnected via a separating clutch inside the hybrid module, referred to as the Electric Clutch Actuator (ECA). In E-Power driving mode, the electric motor can, on its own, propel the vehicle up to a maximum speed of 135 km/h. It can also be used in the other modes for an additional power boost.

These modes can be selected via the standard Sport Chrono Package (Hybrid Auto, Sport and Sport Plus). Porsche has taken this boost strategy from the 918 Spyder super sports car.

सुमधूर गळ्याची महागायिका वैशाली म्हाडेचा 21 ऑगस्टला वाढदिवस असतो. एक दिवस अगोदर मंगळवारी बिग बॉस मराठीच्या घरात काही वेळासाठी परतलेल्या वैशाली म्हाडेचा वाढदिवस तिच्या मानलेला भावाने शिवने साजरा केला. शिवने हातात असलेला ब्रेडचा तुकडा केक म्हणून तिला कापायला सांगून तिच्या वाढदिवसाचा आनंद साजरा केला.


वैशालीचे बिग बॉसच्या घरात अभिजीत केळकर आणि शिव ठाकरे ह्यांच्याशी ऋणानुबंध जुळले. अभिजीत आणि शिवला वैशालीने मनापासून भाऊ मानले. रक्षाबंधनच्या दिवशी बाहेर असलेल्या अभिजीतला वैशालीने राखी बांधली. पण शिवला राखी बांधायची इच्छा तिने बिग बॉसच्या घरात जाऊन पूर्ण केली. शिवला राखी बांधतानाच मोठ्या बहिणीच्या प्रेमाने त्याला तिकीट टू फिनाले देऊनही त्याला आपल्यापरीने सेफ करण्याचे काम केले.

सूत्रांच्या माहितीनूसार, वैशाली म्हाडेचे पारदर्शक व्यक्तिमत्वच बिग बॉसमधून दिसून आले आहे. तिचा आवाज जसा गोड आहे, तसाच तिचा स्वभावही निर्मळ असल्याचेच दिसून आलेय. आणि ती जी नाती जोडते, ती किती मनापासून असतात. ते पून्हा एकदा मंगळवारी दिसले.
